We were cordially greeted by the owner which was a very nice introduction to the restaurant. Our waitress was the owner's daughter. She was very polite, friendly, and efficient and did her best to accomodate our group. The food was very good, albiet quite pricey. My comlaint was that it was a very hot night and the restaurant was just as hot. We brought friends from out of town who were uncomfortable and sweating during their meal. Needless to say, they had their air conditioning off and there were no ceiling fans in the restaurant. I had to ask the waitress to turn on the air, but it stayed hot throughout our meal. To top it off, the windows had no window dressings on them so when the sun went down, it shone directly in our eyes which made for a further unpleasant dining experience. Would I return? i got there lunch time about hour after open, bar tender was still setting up bar, no TVS on, stuff all over bar top. there were only 3 customers in there, during lunch hour. I ordered a dinner (chix. marsala, plus add-ons) the Marsala sauce was sweet and very tasty, but a very little portion. I had a Groupon that they wouldn't accept, because it was for "dinner time only". Thats where I have an issue, you have NO business for lunch, poor service small potion sizes, I really don't think they should Nick-pick over stupid things like that. Ok so a year after a bad experience at Nuccis upon just opening, i decided to give another try believing time may heel all....boy was I wrong. Although food was fine, service continued to be extreamly slow. From moment we walked in with reservation, we waited 35 min to be seated with hoastes station very disorganized. We overheard one customer complaining she was waiting over an hour for thier salad alone...we "only" waited 45 min so i guess we were lucky! Nucci's Italian Seafood and Steak House appears to have finally hit its stride since taking over an expanded space in a strip mall on Ridge Road in Webster. Emphasizing homemade pasta, seafood and steaks, the restaurant and full bar features large portions and a choice of soup or salad with entrées. The tripe appetizer was outstanding, and the Delmonico steak was cooked perfectly. I plan to return again to try their huge pork chops or lamb shank. read more

Most of the food was delicious. Owner is scary and aggressive. Shrimp for the scampi were not deveined. Instead of an apology got an aggressive command from the owner to order a replacement dish as he put it was not going to comp for no reason he also told me I could not leave until I ordered something else. I had to ask if he was threatening me. My child was frightened. Btw owner claims shrimp just come that way from Palmers. We were trying to find a new-yet untested-restaurant and discovered Nucci's. We were seated immediately and our waitress (Amber) was friendly and helpful. Our food arrived promptly and tasted great. I went to the restaurant with five of my relatives for dinner. They have a full bar and T.V.'s to watch the game. Bar service was good. It was very busy when we arrived and we sat down about 6:45 pm for our 6:30 reservation which was fine. It was very loud in the dining area. The server was a very nice young man who did a good job. I started with the arincini and the wedding soup. They were both fresh, delicious, and tasty. Right after the apps came out they had this singer start up with his karaoke rig. I was not impressed at all. It was way too loud and his selection of music and vocals were annoying to me. The only thing he did was make a loud dining area even louder as we were trying to talk over the top of him the whole time we were there. There is just no need to have any of it going on in that restaurant. I would suggest that they start this guy later in the evening and let people talk and enjoy their dinners. For an entree, I decided to order the veal parm which was so supposed to be breaded and baked to perfection. The breading was like mush, it was thin, and drowned is cheese and tomato sauce. The tomato sauce was dark in color and did not taste anything like the fresh tomato sauce that came with the arincini. Two of the other people in my party ordered the chicken french and were very happy. My wife had a salad and the egg plant parm app which was huge and very filling. My sister ordered one of the specials and specifically asked the waiter if they would serve it over escarole because she could not eat the pasta. The dish was delivered to the table with escarole and pasta in the dish. I sat right their and listened to her put the order in and they still did not get it right. My husband and I were looking for a quick place for dinner in webster on a Friday night before a movie at AMC theaters. We only had 45 minutes before the show time but we wanted something nice. We found Nucci's and we were so impressed. Not only did we get a seat right away, the waiter was courteous and quick. The food was excellent. We wish we had more time to really sit down and enjoy the excellent food. Looking at all the dishes being served at the other dishes, we can't wait to come back, take our time, and really enjoy excellent Italian food. Highly recommended! read more

My husband and I found this restaurant on yelp tonight. We were greeted by the owner and our server was one of his sons. I ordered the homemade gnocchi. They were outstanding and I am really picky about gnocchi. They have to be cooked just right or they get mushy. My husband loves tripe which he said was "excellent". He ordered the appetizer size along with a greens, beans sausage and gnocchi which was also really delicious. Even with every table full, our meal arrived piping hot. Our waiter was really attentive. There were so many choices and the prices are very reasonable, we'll be going back for sure. Why 5 stars? Well after reading for almost a year the mixed reviews it was time to find out for ourselves. Tripe was the hook,we were Rocky' s fans. So this was the test. True Italian Food ! Made reservations for a Friday nite. Early cause it filled up fast. There were 4 of us. We ordered drinks $$$. Next time we take advantage of house specials. Appetizers excellent. Calamari AND Clams Casino. Tripe,French Haddock and Haddock Parmesan. Wedding soup and New England Clam Chowder. Lots and lots of food. Take home bags for all. Service was very good even as the restaurant filled up we were attended by several staff members. Pasta was cooked to perfection and the Tripe was plentiful and delicious. We have eaten at Nucci's once and the food was great. But my experience using the catering aspect of the business was terrible. I used the catering to order food for a surprise birthday party that was on a Friday. I went in on a Monday to order the food and the owner Nick was rude when I asked about substituting greens and beans for chicken parm which was part of a coupon deal of ziti and chicken parm for $60. I asked because the coupon did not say no substitutions. Nick rudely said I'm telling you now there's no substitution!!!! I asked because it did not state this on the coupon and he again angrily said I'm telling you now !! I paid that day and had my receipt with me when I went to pick up the food on Friday. Well the food was not ready...in fact Nick had no memory of the order nor did he have the order where he first looked. He asked did you pay for the food and let me see your receipt! I showed him the receipt and then he went to see about the order in the kitchen. Well Nick came back and states it'll be ready in 15 minutes and is that OK? What choice did I have???? Then he finds my original order. Not once did Nick apologize for not having the food ready or offer to do something to compensate his mistake. well the ziti was pretty good but the chicken parm was tough and leathery. More than 1 person commented on the toughness of the chicken. Overall the experience with Nucci's was bad. First time trying this place due to a coupon ($10 off two entrees) we had. We ordered two entrees to go over the phone. When I arrived to pick up the order, the owner informs me that I could not use the coupon because we were not eating in the restaurant. We checked the coupon before calling in the order, and nowhere on it did it say anything to the effect of "Dine-In Only" or "Not Valid for Take-out." Without even trying to listen, the owner rudely states that the coupon says "only one per table" and that means that you can't use it for a to-go order. After explaining how that is extremely misleading and against "truth in advertising" practices, the owner continues to argue with me rather than make the situation right. He said he'd rather me sit down in his restaurant and order drinks and more food to use the coupon, so obviously he simply wants to get as much money out of each customer and doesn't care about customer satisfaction. The irony is that by trying to save $10, I will never go back to this place and will never recommend it, therefore he will lose much more money in the long-run. The coupon made us aware of this location and encouraged us to try it, but my interaction...with the owner of all people...within the first few moments of stepping foot into the place ruined it. Then I went on to the restaurant's page to write this review and see this man literally arguing with people and making excuses after they leave a negative review. The food may be decent, but good food (particularly Italian) can be found anywhere in this city and it's too bad the customer service fundamental are ignored here. Well, lets say we did not have a fine dining experience. First I would say the wait staff was excellent. We started with calamari, cooked well tasted fine. The bread brought to the table was cool and stale. Toasting may have staved off the staleness. Next was the salad, bag-o mixed greens that 10% of which had gone bad beyond wilted blackish areas of rot. No excuse to serve bad greens, enjoyed the olives and chick peas. Entrees of gnocchi and 'special' chicken French were generous and interesting. The gnocchi was a bit brittle but over all ok. The chicken was more like a soup. Said to be served with cavatelli was served over linguine. There was about 8 ounces of a runny sauce all was swimmingly in. This reduced flavor to a bland dish. At 26$ expected better read more

Heard about Nucci's from a friend that we should try it out. Busy Friday evening, but we didn't have to wait. The flow of the staff was great and everyone was friendly. The area we sat at was a bit confined but as long as you didn't have to dance around you were ok. Ha. Not a brightly light place, normal for an Italian restaurant. Not a loud place, so you were able to talk with people at your table. No music when we went, but I don't know if that's all the time. The waitress we had was awesome, told us the specials, asked if we wanted more bread, asked if our food was ok TWICE, got us refills without asking, asked if we wanted dessert or coffee, asked if our desserts were to our liking, gave us our checks without us waiting or requiring, and walked us out. Of course she got a generous tip. The bread was fresh and the butter was garlic butter. Not too garlicky but you can tell it had some in it. My friend got the lazanqa, which was a big portion. Others got the speghetti/meatballs, also a good portion, and she said the meatballs tasted great. For dessert we shared a piece of cannoli cake. Received an average size piece with some whipped cream on the side. It was rich but yummy. My experience here was great and would recommend it to others. read more

I made a reservation for my husband's birthday at Nucci's for December 18. We arrived a little early and were welcomed immediately by a smothering smoke to the point it hurt your eyes. This restaurant is not properly ventilated and many people had to walk outside to get fresh air. Nick Nucci, the owner, was "greeting" people at the door. In his most unfriendly fashion he informed us we would not be seated right away because we were early. He never gave us an update and when we asked once how much longer, he mumbled and walked away from us to seat someone else. After 45 minutes finally our name was called just as a couple with no reservation walked in. We walked over to the station and Nick Nucci took the couple that walked in to a table that had been empty for the past 10-15 minutes instead of seating us. Obviously upset I asked him why he helped them first when we had been waiting with a reservation for 50 minutes. He responded, "You didn't tell me you wanted to sit there. Besides, 30 minutes past a reservation isn't bad." Obviously we walked out and will NEVER come back. If Nick Nucci thinks he will stay in business treating people like that then this will be a rude awakening for him. Several people on Facebook's Webster, NY page shared similar experiences. We opted out of ordering clams as a appetizer because the waiter sail the Cioppino had fresh clams. Needless to say they were not fresh clams. The waiter tried to explain that they were 'de-shelled'. But they were minced up and clearly from a can or jar. I ordered the gnocchi. Another disappointment. Pretty much a bowl of mush. Visited the Resturant this past weekend and was not impressed. First of all the staff starting with bartender he was not engaging at all actually he seemed annoyed. You could not strike up a conversation with him all you hot was 3 words out of him You need a person at the bar to have a great personality a person who will strike a conversation and serve you with a smile. That is where all the money is made and I do not see that happening with him behind the bar. Now for the lady at the dessert section she gave you a look that made you feel uncomfortable. She was also very short in conversation I felt I was bothering her. It was dead in that area she should of struck up a conversation about her products or anything to make me want to purchase something. (Which I did not because of her body language.) There were no hellos, welcome to our place. No one seemed to care when you walked in or sat down. Very stern annoyed facial expressions was what I saw there was no personality in this place at all. (I cannot say anything about the wait staff because we did not interact with them just the gentleman at the door, bartender and cafe person) Very unfriendly !! Now for the food. Tried Nucci's last night for the first time. I always give time for a new restaurant to work out the "issues" before eating there. First impression, Nick the owner greeted us right away and we chose to seat on the Cafe side instead of in the dinning room. Waitress was pleasant and knew the large menu. My husband and I both had different pasta dishes. Each sauce was very flavorable and the portions were large. The Italian wedding soup was delicious, thin broth with lots of home made meatballs. I really like the fact that when I ordered decaf coffee with my dinner the waitress made a fresh pot without being ask to and my mug never went empty! Now for dessert. I normally do not order dessert but after looking in the pastry case and hearing the desserts were home made, I went for the Cannoli Cake. SO GLAD I DID FABULOUS!!!! ** As for some of the not so good reviews at the bottom, one has to understand that a new smaller restaurant has many challenges to face and over come. Its difficult to find experience service staff willing to risk less tips (less income) when they can go and work for a established restaurant. New servers need time to develop their skills. The cooking staff needs time to learn to work as a well oiled machine. Also if the owner has never owned/operated a restaurant before its a lot of learning on the go. There are so many things customers are not aware of, way more than just cooking and serving food. Yes you are paying and want a good meal. Completely understandable, after all that's why the restaurant is there to serve/cook up a great meal along with providing a wonderful dinning experience. However, if I encounter a unpleasant first time experience in privately owned restaurant I usually went a few months and try once more. If the things have not improved then I will not go again. Its easy to write a bad review, especially when you feel you have wasted hard earned money. Go to the owner and or manger an explain why you are displeased, let then make the situation right. Feed back good or bad helps! Please try to remember, a bad review in the first few months can ruin what can become a great neighborhood establishment and in the process destroying a owners dream and there life savings. I took ( or attempted ) to take my daughter here for dinner. We walked in and stood at the door waiting for someone to come check us in. After approximately 15 minutes I walked toward the bar, saw a waitress and asked if someone could check us in. She replied to go back to the door and someone would be right there. Although waiters and waitress clearly saw us, no-one even made the attempt to come over or even acknowledge us. I again tried to get someones attention and said we have been standing here for a half hour and no-one has even signed us in. The response was, " I don't work on that side " and someone she was sure will be right there. Well, after waiting 45 minutes we turned and walked out and ended up down the street at Applesbees. As busy as they always are, at least they have someone at the door to take your name and not leave you standing there wondering if your invisible. ( So much for Italian food that night) I then went on our town facebook to see countless people complaining about the same place. My advise for whatever it's worth, have someone at the door to greet, take their name and maybe let them know how long it will be like most places do. Never have I had to track someone down and then just get brushed off the way I did there. Never again! Update: Less than one half hour after an employee saw a review on our town facebook page on someones experience, this was the reply that was given, and not mine. Went here for a party last nite- outstanding! Arincini was out of this world- huge balls of fresh rice & peas with a tasty sauce. Beans & greens were outstanding - fresh & seasoned well with garlic. Didn't even get to order food. I called around 7pm to order take out while at work. A bunch of coworkers and I were going to give it a try and order enough for the nightshift crew. We looked at their menu online and found it difficult to tell what counted as lunch or dinner iteams. When I called they kept putting me on hold and finally some guy answered and he sounded like he was too stressed to even deal with me at that moment. And when I gave him the order he kept saying that they don't offer those iteams that I was asking for. He even sounded like he wasn't sure what they offered and got annoyed with me and stopped talking to me and started talking to what sounded like guests seated at a table. While he was busy asking them if they wanted more butter and bread I waited on the line completly blown away by his attitude. After he asked 'ya still there' quite rudely I finally told him we would just call back and hung up. Needless to say I know I will never eat here or give this place a try again. read more
