My empty water glass, which stayed empty after the first drink

BLUF: Very disappointing. Poor service ruined our evening Four of us went for dinner on a Thursday evening. Things started out well in that the bread for the table was delicious and crunchy. We ordered our appetizers at the same time as our entrees and told the waitress we were going to a show and wanted to eat both at once. The appetizers came out pretty quickly. Fried calamari was very tender and tasty. Caprese salad was good, but frankly that's something hard to mess up. Then our waitress disappeared for half an hour. No water refills, nothing. By the time she came back we had been finished with our appetizers for an hour. She said the food would be right out. At that point we had to leave and just had her box our food to go. This place is not cheap, and I feel we paid a lot of money for some Italian take out. I will not go back

Perfect Valentine's Date Night at Pane Vino We had an 8 PM Valentine's reservation, booked three weeks in advance--so plan ahead! Parking was tricky due to a nearby show, but they offer free valet (wish we knew sooner). We waited 30 minutes for our table but enjoyed drinks at the bar and live piano music. The ambiance was perfect--cozy lighting, candles, and real rose petals on the tables. The prix fixe menu (not advertised online) was a great surprise. I had the wedge salad (best I've had!), and my boyfriend had the lobster bisque. For mains, we had the Filet Oscar ($98) and Chicken French & Artichoke Linguine (~$50)--both were fantastic. Dessert was red velvet cheesecake, and mini cannoli, (or you could have chosen chocolate-covered strawberries). You pay by the main course so for 2 appetizers, 2 mains and 2 desserts ~$160 + drinks. Cocktails were excellent--I loved the Snowy Negroni (gin, white vermouth, lillet blanc), and my boyfriend enjoyed his Old Fashioned. Overall, amazing food, service, and ambiance--highly recommend for a special occasion!

Great food, we went for the Mon/Tues date night special! I would definitely recommend as it was worth the price and the food was amazing.

So Tuesday night the 11th I made reservations at Pane Vino on the River for their date night special. Which you can partake in on Monday & Tuesday nights only. It is $100.00 per couple and there is a specific menu that you can choose from. We happened to go for my birthday dinner as it was this past Thursday the 13th. So anyway we were seated at table towards the back of the restaurant. I like the decor there it's old and a bit rustic like cozy feeling. So we already knew what we were getting for our food entrees. We got a bottle of Pinot Grigio and ice water to drink and there was already the olive oil and grated cheese along with the accouterments on the table. So we ordered our appetizer which was Artichokes French and we also chose the Caesar Salad and for main entree, mine was Eggplant and spaghetti which was quite good and he got the shrimp dish. He also enjoyed his meal and then we got the chocolate covered strawberries for dessert to go. He wanted the chocolate cake & grand marnier to which he paid extra for. Our waitress was super nice and knowledgeable. Overall I like the atmosphere/ waitstaff & host/hostesses m. It is a nice place to go once in a while for something different. I highly recommend this establishment. If you're in the area or mood to try something different.

Work took me to Rochester, New York. Visited the Beautiful Pane Vino on the River. Pane Vino is a Italian Restaurant overlooking the Genesee River. Awesome service, awesome food. We had Beet Salad which had Goat cheese, red pepper, Macadamia nuts with lemon honey vinaigrette. We also had the Shrimp Scampi. Mouth watering Shrimp with Prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, garlic sherry wine sauce and linguine. I'm not from around here but will definitely come back if in the area! Socal Weekend Walkarounds definitely recommends. Check them out next time you visit Rochester! Voted Best Romantic Restaurant by Choice Awards! 2018 Traveler's Choice Winner by Trip Advisor! Pane Vino is a place where its patrons can feel at home, where they are greeted and remembered by our staff. We strive for a comfortable atmosphere for all to enjoy. Filet mignonette with maple glazed Brussels and Parmesan fries

So..after our absolutely horrible experience last summer decided to give New Years a try since we had dined there on New Years Eve the past two years. Seated as per our reservation.Prix fixe menu as outlined on the menu. salads were huge and tasty. I had the chicken parm/ eggplant parm/,manicotti trio minus the eggplant ( don't care for thick cut eggplant) on a bed of penne for $70. My husband had the ribeye; requested medium rare but it was closer to medium/ medium well. All I can say is for $85 you damn well better be able to cook a steak as requested. The fries that went with the steak arrived 10 minutes after the steak. Desserts were cheesecake with some weird cherries that looked like Sauced maraschino cherries; the tiramisu was a compacted cake and had a sour taste., the other choice was a dark chocolate cake. They used to make their own desserts; clearly these were recently thawed frozen variety. Service was ok but not attentive as it should be.,Our waitress had way too many tables. Bus boy has been there a very long time and is very good! I don't know what has happened here but it's not like it used to be. If you're going to charge these prices you damn well better be on point! 2/3 of the steak was thrown out as were most of the late arriving fries. One glass of wine was comped as my husband didn't want to watch me eat while he waited for a do over.

Came for here for a family dinner, party of 8, we did make reservations ahead of time even though we were eating in the middle of the week. We got here a little early to grab a drink at the bar inside, the interior seating seems nice from what I could tell. The host sat us at our table outside and it was perfect in the middle but close enough to see the Genesee River. It wasn't too hot or too windy outside, it honestly was a perfect night. They're was about 3 other large groups gathering for dinner and the other tables were couples or groups of 4. I forget our servers name but she was very friendly, my only complaints is that it took her forever to get us more drinks from the bar and also we did wait a liiiitle too long, in my opinion, for one of the dishes after all the other ones came out. It was a little odd. In terms of food, they are all SO delicious. For appetizers we got 2 or 3 different things, I only remember the lamb lollipops were perfect! The other appetizer we got was great but I just don't remember the name of it. I had the lobster Mac n cheese for my entree and boy oh boy, it was perfection... you must get this!

The restaurant was quite crowded during Friday happy hour, and one server was responsible for both the tables and the bar. He was clearly overworked, so we were not attended to as consistently as we hoped and we only had time for one round of orders. The food took a long time to arrive, while the drinks came out almost immediately. *Cosmopolitan Bianca: was very heavy on the gin. I could only taste the lime, with no hint of cranberry or hibiscus. The hibiscus reduction added a pretty purple color but did not provide any tart or floral flavor. *Sweet Potato Fries: were not perfectly crispy, but the portion size was generous. The honey could have used additional spices, since the dish leaned heavily toward sweetness. *Pepperoni Pizza: This was a good shareable option, although it lacked a proper char and crust even when fresh. The dough sat in a noticeable amount of salty oil. The pepperoni cupped nicely and added a slight bit of texture, but the rest of the pizza was rather soggy. The happy hour menu was serviceable, but nothing was executed particularly well. It is not a bad spot for small bites after work, but I would not go out of my way to dine here.

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

Walked in to be warmly greeted by waitstaff in santa hats. Restaurant and bar is full Christmas spirit with lights, trees and decorations. Very festive! The walls are adorned in caricatures of famous italian americans: actors, athletes, singers, politicians etc. There's also a room dedicated to fake italians, for actors who played iconic italian roles but are not in fact of italian dissent. We were in that room, which was fun for us because 2 our all time favs were in there: the Barones of Everybody Loves Raymond and some Soprano's characters. Normally I am not a fan of chain restaurants for italian food, but this place is special. The food was bellisimo! Absolutely delicious. The shrimp cocktail, were like small lobster tails they were so huge & fresh! The stuffed peppers appetizer itself could be a meal (and for me, it was) The peppers practically melted in your mouth, stuffed with ricotta, sausage, gorgonzola and crusted breadcrumbs with balsamic glaze drizzle. To DIE for! The one pound lasagna is EPIC. Yes it's huge, but it's also cooked and stuffed to perfection. Comes with a pitcher of extra sauce without having to ask! We were too stuffed for dessert. Loved it here. Hope they expand include a Long Island location someday.
