Went back today with my grand daughter. My grandkids love this place. I enjoy the fact that it's a family place. They have some great family dinner specials. I do like their snow crab legs, and the more I go, the better I've learned how to order. The prices are good for what you get. It would be nice though if they had dinner items that don't require being steamed in a bag. I will always go back, and enjoy my time there. The staff is super friendly, and on point. Today I got the snow crab legs and scallops. Next time, I will just get the snow crab legs. Their corn is nice and sweet. I just asked for butter and garlic. The meal needed salt. I guess you have to add spice, but I'm really sensitive. The scallops were good, but too small for the additional 16.00. We always have fun here, and great seafood. read more

We ordered two dirty martinis to start. The menu described them as "Ketel One vodka with a hint of olive juice, served with two blue cheese stuffed olives." They were served in a tumbler, the drinks the color of olive juice, with 4 mushy pimento stuffed olives We ordered a seafood mix of snow crab, shrimp and crawfish. They gave us one crab cracker but no pickers. All they had were dinner forks, which are useless for snow crab. The shrimp wasn't cleaned, and was pasty. Today was the first time I have eaten here. The outside of the building looked very upscale however when you go inside it was not. It was plain and pedestrian. The walls were dirty. Our waitress was the best part of our visit. We got goyza which was fried which was actually very good. Shrimp cocktail was good too and good cocktail sauce. The shrimp were medium sized and chilled. I got the fried alligator in a basket with sweet potato fries. The alligator was fried, greasy on the inside under the breading but good. The sweat potato fries were alright. First Impressions Visited this recently opened seafood restaurant on a Monday night and at first I thought it was closed because I didn't see anyone dining from the outside, but they did have about a dozen customers so it was pretty empty. This could be due to it being a Monday night and the same week of Valentine's Day. The table was set with a large sheet of paper and nothing else. We received 2 forks, 2 bibs, and 2 pair of disposable gloves, and 2 wet wipes all in a small garbage can that the server placed on the table. They gave us 2 paper plates in case we needed them. I'm used to tables being set before being seated or soon after. Not the case here, I took the fork out of the garbage can and set the table myself. Not the best first impression, but I'm here for the food...I can't eat customer service or ambience. Service Service was okay, other than the set your own table situation. Our server didn't seem that informed about menu items that we asked about. Most requests for substitutions on some of the combos were met with resistance or refusal other than subbing potato for corn. The Food The menu is light on pictures, so we had to ask a lot of questions about portion sizes. I could see in pictures that the shrimp come unpeeled and with legs. I'm not a fan of unpeeled shrimp, I want to pick it up and eat it, not peel it. They make it very clear on the menu, every time shrimp is mentioned, that it comes with 'No Head'. I've never been served shrimp with the head on, so I'm confused why this needs to mentioned. We ordered the "E" combo, the catfish basket, and a dozen wings as an appetizer. Appetizer and main courses all came out at the same time, but the wait was not long and the food was hot. The "E" combo [1 lobster tail, 1/2 lb. snow crab legs, and 1/2 lb. shrimp (no head)] came in a bag on a metal plate. This is a very seasoned dish, but the flavor was good. The fried catfish was good. The chicken wings don't come in many flavor options and the wings are on the small side but they taste good as well. The 'cajun' fries served in the something fried baskets aren't really cajun fries, they're just seasoned fries. Is it better than Red Lobster? Not in my opinion. Red Lobster has more food options, pictures on the menu, is more accomodating with substitutions, and Red Lobster's "no head" shrimp also comes peeled with "no legs". King Crab is a different type of restaurant, with more of a family owned restaurant feel as opposed to a national chain that has their system dialed in tight. Even though I can't eat customer service and ambience, Red Lobster has more of both. In terms of price value, I give Red Lobster the edge even though menu prices are comparable. The edge to Red Lobster is given because of the complimentary cheddar biscuits and the salad included with your entree. At King Crab, the side salad is extra and they don't give you biscuits or bread to eat while you wait. Would I eat there again? Yes. Knowing what to expect and not expecting much beyond seafood that taste good, I could do it again. King Crab wouldn't be my first choice for seafood dining, nor would it be a place I'd take someone if I was trying to make an impression. Be advised that if you leave this restaurant less than a 5-star review on places such as Yelp or Google, they will promptly have an employee post a bogus 5-star review countering your criticism in specific. If you post that you don't like the table clothes, they'll post that the table clothes are amazing within minutes of your review. See for yourself and watch out for the fake 5-star reviews. read more

King Crab doesn't look like much...at first. But it is our go to joint for delicious seafood boils! They give huge portions at a decent rate. I am pretty picky when it comes to seafood restaurants but we have never had a bad experience!! My favorite is the crab legs but really you can't go wrong with any of it. I will give them a 3 for effort. The plainest corn I ever had. It tastes like nothing. Corn was not soft or sweet or juicy. It was regular boiled. The sausage was the best of all. I have eaten at the shaking crabs in NY & NJ so maybe I had high expectations. The crab legs were super salty to me. I didn't even want to take it home. Garlic butter was ok. The fried Shrimp was the best. My husband said the PO boy was on a big ol sub roll and was mostly bread and Mayo lol A group of people were mad because their togo boxes was too small. Loving King Crab! These seafood boils are easily one of the best ways to enjoy seafood. If you like it spicy... you gotta get the Juicy seasoning, Extra Hot! I believe this is owned by the same people who own Juicy Seafood and if I were to pick one over the other, I would go with King Crab. The space is not only bigger but it decorated much better. They also don't have black permanent marker written all over the walls!!! It's one of my least favorite things about Juicy Seafood is all of the writing on the walls. The idea is nice in theory but ends up looking extremely sloppy. So if you are looking for a seafood boil where the atmosphere is nice and the servers are good, definitely check out King Crab! Tasty seafood. I ordered crab legs, sausage and shrimp (I've ordered 2xs within the month of December). Both deliveries were double bagged to avoid leaking and kept the food surprisingly warm. My grandson wanted to take me to a seafood restaurant for my birthday and we decided to try this for the first time. I was impressed by that atmosphere and was seated right away. Our server was pleasant and explained things since it was our first visit. I mentioned it was my birthday and she was very nice. Our meal was just as we ordered. It was served in a timely manner and the taste was out of this world. At the end of the meal, she surprised us with a slice of cheesecake that was heavenly. Worst seafood dining experience I have ever had. First off the l language barrier with the Waitress and hostess and pretty much all the staff is a big put off. My wife ordered Blue crab which was so small there was Barely enough meat to feed a mouse and that was with five crabs. I question whether it was even blue crab. The service was quick, and so friendly. I ordered combo B which consist of snow crab, shrimp, and crawfish. The seafood was prepared well, but the "juicy seafood" flavor was not quite what I was looking for. My most recent visit to King Crab was extremely disappointing! I've ordered from this location several times in the past and enjoyed it. This time, when I got home with my order I was surprised at my bag. First of all, there was more oil than anything, and hardly any seasoning. Many of my shrimp were small and dark colored, as if they were old or had been sitting in the seasoning for a long time. My daughter's order also seemed much smaller than usual. Spending almost $76 on two unsatisfactory meals, I decided to call the restaurant about my order. I was told that all the shrimp are the same size and that the reason that some of my shrimp are smaller is because they had my order ready in 10mins and I picked it up in 15-20mins. I told her that makes no sense. I told her that some of my shrimp were discolored and darker--giving the appearance of be old, reheated or soaking in sauce/seasoning for an extended amount of time. I know old shrimp when I see it. I've even saved half of my meal to eat the next day and never seen my shrimp in such a condition. She continued to tell me that the food is meant to be ate immediately and that a few minutes can change the size, shape and color of your shrimp. I was just COMPLETEY outdone! My fiancé and I entered the restaurant at 9:05 pm, and were advised that there would be a 15 minute wait in which we were completely fine with, as we had been traveling all day and was extremely hungry. The host seated us and told us the we could order alcoholic beverages until our server was available. After waiting patiently for 20 minutes the host approached our table and advised that they wouldn't be able to assist us because there isn't enough staff on duty. I politely let the hostess know that that wasn't our issue, and that someone needs to accommodate us because it was obviously an issue before we came to the restaurant. She went on and on with several excuses that made no logical sense. . After listening to her shenanigans I asked to speak with a manager. The hostess boohoo cried as she explained the issue to her manager. The manger who appeared to be a 15 year old high school student, came running around the counter screaming "Fuc* this Shi*, who made my cousin cry" ? As he's putting on this show my fiancé and I are silently looking at him like he's a stone cold fool. I believe that he was clueless as to what he up against, and stopped himself in his own tracks before he approached our table with more nonsense. my fiancé and I were extremely disgusted and turned off with the restaurant, staff, and the way that the issue was handled, and left the restaurant. There's no excuse as to why we couldn't be served. The only thing that they should've done was make the issue right, even if we had to wait an additional 20 minutes. read more

Not very pleased with the restaurant when I walked in it was ghetto on the jukebox speakers were ready to blow birthday party in the middle of the dining room disrespectful to the people around them to eating our waitress was super sweet and very nice I gave her 10 stars for this restaurant I would not go back there again to salty contacted owner and owner said that they could not do anything because of the fact it was prepackaged a.k.a. Came for a birthday dinner, due to COVID we had to sit apart but relatively close. The restaurant was really friendly and efficient when dealing with a big group, all on separate checks. We also ordered drinks mean while which were very good. Food came out all at the exact time and was distributed very easy.
