Bow tie Pasta, Peas & ricotta with a bread crumb topping.

We made reservations earlier in the week for Saturday night @6:30. Neither of us have ever been Perlo's before so we were both curious about the restaurant. We went in and immediately you are at the hostess station and we checked in, we reserved a round table as we were waiting for the other 4 people in our group. The hostess sat us at our table like immediately and had the menus & specials of the day already on the table. The waitress came shortly thereafter and took our drink orders. And we waited for about 15 minutes for the rest of our party to show up. The waitress came back and took our appetizer orders and the drink orders for the table. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable she was busy so there wasn't much time for her to exchange pleasantries. The table that we sat at was in the corner right by the kitchen and it was darker there than in the rest of the dining area and the AC was on and I was freezing. However once I started eating & drinking I warmed up. Overall it was a nice establishment and a change from the norm. Then about 15 or so minutes later the waitress came back with our appetizers which were artichokes French & Calamari the artichokes French was really good and the 2 baskets of rolls that were complimentary to the table were delicious and served hot cuz the butter wasn't soft. The waitress then took our food orders and it took about 15 minutes for our food to arrive and when it did it was hot and delicious. I ordered the bow tie pasta, Ricotta and peas and in my opinion it was delicious my BF got the Fra Diavolo to which he thought was really good too the rest of our dining party was happy with their dinners as well. Then we got dessert for the table I got the chocolate cake and my BF got the cheesecake with the pecans both were delicious and then after we were finished with our meal and about to leave Donna Perlo came over to our table and spoke to my BF for a moment. That was nice gesture on her part so all in all a great night was had by the 4 of us. I'd definitely go back there again.

If you're looking for nice Italian food with a home cooked, feel give, Perlo's a try We had a delightful waitress, who was very knowledgeable, and made some great recommendations. We loved the pasta dishes the best and the pizza the least.

While visiting Rochester last week, our friends chose an Italian restaurant knowing Italian food is pretty much our favorite. We've never been to Perlo's on our previous visits. We won't make that mistake again. The menu is extensive with virtually every dish named after someone. (I believe the dishes are named after customers but I forgot to ask). It took me more time than usual to choose that perfect entrée' as everything on the menu looked so fantastic. I was also easily distracted watching waiters bring out dishes to other tables as well. My final choice (and our friend's as well) was Chicken Marsala. Chicken, mushrooms and artichokes along with the wonderful Marsala wine made this dish perfect. My wife enjoyed her lasagna as well commenting on the amazing sauce and flavors. Our friend's wife ordered Linguine and Clams. Soup or salad along with fresh baked bread was also served. Service was flawless. I mean really flawless. We never wanted for anything. I was reminded of dining in Europe where being a waiter in a fine restaurant is a profession rather than "just a job". Our waiter had that aura of professionalism. A great evening of food and friends!

We started with a flight of mediocre (as it turned out) red wines; a Grenache, an Italian varietal, and a Cabernet. 3x2 or 6 ounces for $15.00. None of the wines were very good. We like to sample wines by the flight so we can drive up to Georgetown liquor and get a bottle. None of these were even close to prompting a visit there. For food we had a peach, tomato, quinoa, goat, and kale salad. We also had a cheese flight and I had the spicy meatballs. Expensive and very small portions. My meatball app was $15 and was 1 and 1/2 small meatballs doused in Frank's with a squirt of blue cheese. It was spicy as advertised but meager. Cheese flight was ok, but also $13 for not a lot. Spoiler alert: if their menu says 'shareable', it's not, unless one of you (or both) are fasting. Service was adequate and we got to enjoy the live music entertainment sound check (we got there before the actual performance). Guy banging on the percussion box: yes, it's way too loud for the tiny space. Usual server upselling of their overpriced menu items and drinks, but not delivering much in the way of hospitality or warmth. I don't think we would go back unless one of our friends wanted to. I think if you just want to drink and listen to live music, this place will work for you.

I decided we should go for Valentine's Day! So here we are a group of 4, on Valentine's Day . Reservation was for 6 however our show ended early so we came around 5:30. Restaurant was empty except for a few people at the bar. Host was less than happy about us coming in early. We had no problem waiting. He reluctantly seats us. The waitress comes out rolls her eyes and then gives a fake smile. Maybe because our skin is brown but our money is green. Now to the food! Awful and severely over priced! We have been too many expensive restaurants that can walk the walk. Erie Grill can't even crawl. Caesar salad $25 (serves one, not an entree), chicken lollipops $16 end up being two chicken legs. The others ordered wagu meatloaf. It definitely tasted frozen. I order tuna tartar wontons (Nosh's Ahi tuna wontons would murder these) and a bowl of jambalaya (meh). It has definitely taken me one month to get over this experience. Nice hotel well that's all I can say! PS. Manager seemed to be "taste testing" booze in the back. Unprofessional!

While the food itself was fine, the service was unfortunately very disappointing. We had a reservation but stood at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes before being seated. During that time, the waitress was chatting with other patrons, which would have been understandable had our party not felt consistently deprioritized throughout the meal. Our group arrived around the same time and took a few minutes to catch up and meet a friend's newborn before placing drink and food orders. Service was extremely slow, particularly given that my son ordered a simple bowl of cereal, which arrived no earlier than the hot entrées. Our drinks were not refilled, and when I asked for additional water, I was told the waitress had another large party coming in soon. When I stepped away briefly to take my son to the restroom, our plates were cleared despite the fact that he still had food left. The staff made it very clear that we were expected to leave, even though we had only been there for about an hour and forty minutes and experienced significant delays in receiving our food. Overall, the food was acceptable, but the service toward our larger party felt rushed, dismissive, and unwelcoming. With more attentive and considerate service, this could be a much better experience.

Disappointingly we got seated near a half wall and in a thoroughfare. The seating near the windows began rapidly clearing out 20 minutes to a half hour after we arrived and we would've loved to move but the offer wasn't made. A few tables could be saved per seating especially when you are reserving in advance. Some of the patrons who were seated along the windows were under dressed too wearing baseball caps and workout attire yet they were enjoying the prime views.
