Stumbled upon this place by Accident, but that's often the best way to find a gem like this! Great people and Great food. The chef recommended our food, and we can't wait to get back and try the next recommendation. Thank you, Nikki and the staff, for a great Sunday and a memorable meal. :-) Kim & Ken

A hidden gem for the area - The Peppered Pig exceeded my expectations! I'd always known of it, finally had the opportunity to try it, and was not disappointed. Thoughtfully unique menu - wonderful service - amazing value. The goat cheese croquettes are life changing.

Delicious burger no bun with Brie and a small wedge salad instead of fries.

Enjoyed a low carb/keto meal at the Peppered Pig. Had their burger with Brie and substituted fries for a small wedge salad. The burger.... simple, juicy and cooked perfectly. The burger was thick enough to be juicy but not too thick to be overwhelming. They use a high quality beef with good fat content which is key for juiciness. Simply seasoned and I love Brie which always adds richness. The wedge salad offered a good balance of textures and flavors. The lettuce was cool and crisp. Everything on my plate worked together harmoniously. As for the front of the house, our waitress was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. I will definitely return.

Never, ever judge a book by its cover! And so it is with Peppered Pig. Unassuming gives way to sweet smells of what's to come. Salads, sandwiches and OMG those fries! Don't even try to have just one. All flavor packed and delicious together or on their own. My only warning is if you come for lunch be prepared to walk out stuffed. Hey, think of it as an early dinner. Enjoy!

I don't know why I never noticed this place before, but it caught my eye as I was out running errands- so we took advantage of the work holiday and went for a late lunch. First of all, we both had the pig bourbon smash wish was EXCELLENT! I had the the Pig burger - an 8oz beef patty, seared in duck fat, tarragon aioli, bacon, brie, field mix, tomato jam, sourdough - so good! I can't wait to go back and try more things!

Have passed by a number of times and finally tried it out-- wish I had done it ages ago!! Had a fabulous meal, attentive staff, and a comfortable dining room. We did not have alcoholic beverages, but they had a nice wine list and a number of cocktails and mock tails. We started with a chicken liver mousse served with wonderful fresh salty bread and a fabulous jam. I had the chicken and biscuits-- lots of white meat chicken and homemade biscuits in a really nice mushroom gravy. My other half had a Bouillabaisse and said all the fish and seafood was cooked perfectly, and the broth was well seasoned. We ended the night with a bread pudding that was so large it's a good thing we split it! Great food, great service.

Lunch at the peppered pig was great! It was quiet, clean, and great service. Espresso martini was well done along with the croque madame and quiche Lorraine and house salad - all very fresh! Great French food including the to die for hand cut fries with a side of aioli.

Yes. They have specials but I'm not sure they are every day. Dinner is very good.

It's a cool spot- restaurant on the ground floor, and upstairs they sell different things made locally, and also clothes. It was fun to walk around while the food was being made. Our server was Kara, and she was awesome! My nephew has a peanut allergy so she was checking in on the entire order and sides to be sure we were in the clear! She was so helpful and friendly, even when there was an issue it wasn't a giant deal. My nephew and I started out by looking at the protein shake menu. I chose the green goddess protein shake, and he went with the cocoa Berry. Let me just say that mine was so good I finished it quickly. Nephew ordered the garlic sweet chili hummus appetizer to start. It came with freshly cut pita quarters, carrots, and strips of yellow and red peppers. Fresh, crunchy, hummus was absolutely addictively delicious and more than enough to share! He then got the pesto panini, my older brother ended up landing on the Italian panini (they sold out of the corned beef). He also got the soup special, stuffed cabbage soup and that looked really delicious and piping hot. Lots of cabbage and meat along with the broth. I had FOMO for sure. One panini came with a side salad, the other chose the tomato, onion, and cucumber salad that came with balsamic. So tasty I tried it later bc we took it to go, and I ate it all! Really great atmosphere and concept. On our way out we had a conversation with the manager/owner, and it was really pleasant. The weather was awful, but our stop here was a bright beacon and a memorable stop. Support small owned businesses!

After grabbing a drink at aurora brewing, we made our way to Richardson Canal house, a place we had never heard of until today. First of all this is a popular haunt for the locals! It is a fun destination for a nice night out and a fairly pricey dinner (50-100 per person is fair) but very good food! Not pictured is a dozen NE oysters which were delicious, as well as house bread which was freshly baked and very moist :) We also had the Moroccan meatballs, which were succulents and well portioned for an appetizer For our entrees we opted for the medium rare tritip 7 ounce steak which was succulent and paired well with the mashed potato! I personally enjoyed the shrimp scampi - the pasta was al dente and the sauce was well seasoned without being salty. I added a bit of chili pepper for a bit of a kick Overall, we did enjoy our dinner at RCH, and would definitely recommend it to people who are visiting bushnell basin! I gave 4 stars because the food was not out of this world per se and you could get similar food at places like good luck or nosh.
