Easy to find, parking may be tricky but you can park behind UR when they are closed. Reservations are recommended. Love the interior, and it was not too noisy. Staff were friendly & efficient and the drinks were fantastic! There were 4 of us on a Friday night, we each ordered something different and all dishes were outstanding! Hubby had the CRISP chicken & churros and he loved it. I had the ahi tuna (rare) and I would definitely order this again! So good! We did not have appetizers so we would have room for their house-made desserts. Hubby loved the bread pudding and I had the bourbon apple crisp - so flavorful and creamy with the ice cream. We will definitely be back! read more

Crisp was an incredible dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. This place obviously takes a lot of care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the service was wonderful. Our waitress was so knowledgeable of the menu and food choices. Save room for dessert! If you're a chocolate lover , the petite chocolate pot de creme is worth it!! I highly recommend crisp to anyone looking for delicious food and a great atmosphere. Parking is a challenge! Drinks were all great. Everything else was meh. Ordered from the limited menu - no specials available? The food was disappointing lacked both flavor and presentation (shrimp & grits, fried chicken sandwich, braised beef & carrots). The order taker was nice but wasn't involved in serving / food delivery - this is often a mistake and clearly impacted quality & experience. We ordered two starters to share - smoked trout spread & billionaire bacon, the flavor of the smoked trout was odd (some spice/herb was off putting, the bacon never showed - must have been delivered to a billionaire - so we canceled it since we were so done with the bad food and service). I can't see dealing with parking again. read more

Really good meal here. Went for a Friday date night, 6:30 and it was still pretty quiet. Didn't start getting busy until after 7. Nice outdoor seating on the side of the building. Parking on Meigs Street. Server (Kenny I think?) was good, friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic. We had the deviled egg flight as an app. Came out super quick. They were all good but the bacon topped one was great. I'd get the billionaire bacon app next time. I got the shrimp and grits, delicious, especially the spicy New Orleans sauce. Wife got the fish tacos, which I suggested she skip (" this ain't a Mexican place") but I was 100% wrong they were excellent. We don't normally do dessert but they had a bread pudding (with no fruit) and it was absolutely worth it. We'll definitely go back. read more

Crisp has been on our list to visit for a year. We snagged an early reservation and enjoyed dinner. The atmosphere is welcoming and executed with attention to detail. The owners were there helping customers and staff which is really nice to see. I'm GF and they were very accommodating with a good selection of GF and V options on the menu. We shared The South Wedge salad ( enough for 4 people) and it was delicious ! Our table enjoyed the Braised Beef and Carrots (GF) and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. We will be back to enjoy a brunch soon! read more

Met some friends for dinner Sunday at 4:30, seated right away, easy to find off Clinton, park on the street it's easier than the lot. Small menu but plenty of options, we all loved our meals, my burger was delicious. Server was attentive, price for 5 was around $150.00 so a little steep but we were ok with it, considering the good food, cool atmosphere, and server. Thanks for the good meal, will be back when in the area. read more

We went to lunch at Crisp on a Friday afternoon when they first opened at 11:30 AM. We were instantly greeted by the friendly staff and seated. Everyone was very helpful with suggestions. We both ordered cocktails and lunch. The cocktails were okay and so was the food. I guess I had higher expectations. And maybe it's what I ordered. ‍ I would be willing to try it again, selecting a different option. I ordered the chicken and churros. The chicken wasn't very flavorful and seemed dry. My churros were still raw inside. I ate a few then realized it was more than just soft, it was raw batter. Not sure how that happened. Maybe an easy mistake. Are they supposed to be this way? read more

CRISP is my new favorite spot in town! I've been here twice and both the time the food was delicious! The first time I came here for lunch and had a salad. It was absolutely delicious!! The next time around, I was here for Sunday brunch and got the chicken and the churros - fantastic! The service is good as well. I only wish they offered lattes but I guess the espresso made up for the lack of them. I would definitely visit again! read more

I came to Crisp for a Sunday brunch. I found the decor to be enjoyable, everyone to be friendly, and the service excellent. Brunch offerings included a nice mix of traditional options and interesting takes on others. The one that caught my eye was the chicken and biscuit Benedict. It substituted gravy for Hollandaise sauce, which worked well, and of course the eggs were perfectly prepared. Benedicts come with a side of "fry tots" (my term), which were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, I enjoyed them more with the hot sauce provided rather than ketchup. The only thing that could have made it better would have been the option to substitute other things for the fries. Music was familiar favorites from past decades. Crisp does have a very small parking lot, which can accommodate about 3 vehicles plus one additional handicap space. Otherwise you'll have to do street parking, which is still pretty convenient. read more

To start, parking can be tricky if you're on the street. I parked on one side and midway through dinner had to switch my car over and park very far away. They do have their own lot but I think it was only 4-5 spaces. We had a party of 9 but we were served drinks, apps and entrees pretty quickly. I had the deviled egg app to start. It was good! The flavors of the egg filling were light, probably lighter than I prefer but it was overall tasty. I did have to squish the filling down because it was piled so high there's no way to take a bite. I especially liked the fried jalapeño slice on top. For my entree I got the fish tacos. I opted to get the fish broiled instead of fried. They were very good and the fillings inside the flour tortilla were piled high so it did make it for a messy meal. I especially loved the creamy sauce on it. The salsa that came with the chips on the side was not good. I think it had too much lime because it was very bitter. At the end of the meal, our party of 9 was informed that we were unable to split checks and if we wanted to use more than one card, we could only use up to 3. Oof. Overall we all had a nice time though. The food was good and our server was nice. read more

We made reservations for Friday night, we arrived on time and were seated immediately. We chose the "back room" which is a little quieter than the front. It was very nice; we were able to have a decent conversation with dinner and that made for a wonderful experience. The service was prompt but unobtrusive. Portions are sized well but not huge. I did see some people taking home some white boxes. We shared our starter, entrée and dessert and finished it all. We started with Smoked Trout Dip served with house made potato chips. The ratio of chips to dip looked off but it was perfect. Personally, I thought the dip was under seasoned and light on the trout. The Chef came to our table to discuss his cuisine and we both left with our own opinions intact. The Featured - Friday Fish was the best Bouillabaisse I have tasted in years. It was the Friday Special and it was indeed special. The Bourbon Apple Crisp was to die for. If I had known, it was so good we would have ordered two portions instead of splitting one. The parking lot on the property is very small, but street parking is available. read more

This is a local eatery in the south wedge. It has an extensive cocktail menu, which is very nice and well balanced. I recently hosted a baby shower in my home and needed a caterer. Accustomed to the tasty food and quality service of a caterer I had used for years who has now retired, I wanted someone equally wonderful. I found it at CRISP. I had eaten at the restaurant several times and always battled to make menu selection choices, so I reached out to inquire about their ability to cater. From Wendi's prompt responsiveness to my questions along the way to the delicious fare and the excellent and artistic set up/clean up she and Alyssa provided, I couldn't have been more pleased. My guests were raving. My only regret: not enough leftovers to savor!!! I recommend CRISP as a caterer and will DEFINITELY be calling Wendi again!! read more

For a last minute dinner post-graduation, this restaurant exceeded my expectations with their customer service and accommodations during a busy Friday night. I strayed from my typical sushi dinner and decided on a crispy chicken and churros mix while my brother got the braised beef brisket with masked potatoes, carrots and zucchini. I'd say portion was appropriate, although it was on the pricier side. The chicken was crispy, and churros were soft, neither stood out too much from your ordinary fried chicken. Beef was tender and fall-apart juicy which my brother gave a thumbs up (but you can't trust an opinion from someone who'd devour anything in front of him). Overall, great ambiance--bartenders were phenomenal, attentive and catered to us as we waited 25 minutes for our meals (understandably!) read more

My daughter and I had a day trip here , we love looking for something different for dinner . So this was recommended. Very cute inside , modern but welcoming also . Service was pretty good , we sat near the bar so the bartender took care of us . When we arrived it was on the slower side but it was busy at the end . So i think she might have forgotten about us . Food was very good ! Deviled eggs the best . My grits and shrimp were good , not very cheesy like the description but still tasty . read more

We had reservations last night, and we were promptly seated. Meghan was our server, since it was our first time, she was very helpful and attentive. The drinks were French 75, Farmer's Daughter Cocktails and Pinot Noir Wine. Billionaire Bacon to much with the drinks. For our meal Mac & Cheese, Baked Brie, Goat Cheese & Jam Casserole, Devil Eggs, Chicken & Churros. All delicious. Mac & Cheese was a favorite. I loved the Cheese Casserole. Desserts: Apple Crisp with Vanilla Ice Cream and the Chocolate Mousse. Yummy. Coffee, Espresso, Tea to cap the meal. We really enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the service provided. We will return to try other dishes. There is a small parking area next to the building and street parking. read more

The food was okay. Our waitress was nice but the overall feeling was not welcoming. We will not come back.

Arrived at Crisp at 2:31 on Sunday, 7-19-26, and waited about three minutes at the host stand. The dining room looked lovely, and plenty of people were there, enjoying their meals. The hostess arrived and told us she would not seat us because the kitchen closed at 2:30 for brunch and reopened an hour later. This one-hour closure is not mentioned on their web page or on the posted hours on their front door. read more

Very extensive menu and loads of plant based options! Love the outdoor seating as well. I was very impressed with the vegan tacos. It wasnt just impossible meat plopped into a taco shell. There was some effort into seasoning it and making it like a real taco. I dont think its worth $18 though. Its not even meat lol. I wanted to try the red snapper but that was not available. The catfish sandwich was ehh. That definitely needed more seasoning or different seasoning? Something was off. Fries were yum. For drinks, fyi the vodka lemonade (?) comes in a can. Not sure where the vodka was but I would suggest getting another drink. Loved the taxi driver cocktail. The mezcal was nice & smoky just how I like it. Cant wait to try brunch here. read more

This was my first time here and I'm actually looking forward to the Yelp Elite event here Monday evening. Parking is limited, as it's on a busy street corner. We were seated at a high top near the bar and Bella was our server. She was professional and very attentive. The menu was fantastic and has something for everyone! The atmosphere was very relaxed and we loved the music playing. We couldn't decide so chose our two favorites and shared. We tried the fried chicken sandwich with fries and the catfish po boy with homemade chips. Those chips were amazing. We each had to use the restroom and chose a different one. They were a whole vibe! The food was delicious, atmosphere relaxed and service was wonderful. I will definitely return. read more

Crisp made my birthday dinner feel special. I started with the wedge salad (w/o onions), and it was outstanding. The lettuce was incredibly fresh and crisp, the bacon was perfectly crunchy, and the tomatoes, mgt cheese and balsamic glaze all worked beautifully together. I could have used a little more blue cheese, but that's a minor detail because the portion was huge and very satisfying. My entree was the cheesy grits with blackened tiger shrimp and Cajun sauce, and WOW-this was comfort food at its finest. I had had this dish in Savannah, GA for the first time and have been trying to find a place that replicated or came close....and Crisp matched it. The sauce had wondered New Orleans flavors and paired perfectly with the shrimp and grits. I couldn't finish it because I was already full from the salad, but I was thrilled to take some home. The only miss for me was the rose', which was darker and stronger than what I typically enjoy. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff (our servers were Cameron and Ryan), and the table spacing was perfect--not crowded or cramped. Even the bathrooms deserve a mention: spotless, unisex, and stocked with thoughtful extras like individually wrapped toothpicks and mouthwash cups (my personal favorite). I wished I had room for the dessert because I had my eye on the bourbon apple crisp or the affogato. But a memorable birthday dinner and definitely a restaurant I'd return to. read more

The food is undeniably the star of the show. We ordered the halloumi sticks, crispy tofu, honey truffle chicken, braised beef with carrots, and the grain bowl. While the grain bowl didn't quite stand out for me, everything else was exceptional; easily a 10/10. The Lemon Cake drink was a standout in its own right. Superb, and remarkably true to its name. It genuinely tasted like lemon cake, which was a delightful surprise. Overall, I left thoroughly impressed and genuinely satisfied with the experience. Would I return? Absolutely. And I have to emphasize--the crispy tofu was flawless. Easily the best I've ever had. I also appreciated the thoughtful variety of vegetarian and vegan options. Highly recommend, even if just to try the tofu. I hate that I didn't get any pictures. I was too busy stuffing my face. Ha! read more

The food was great, the service was... awkward and rude. We made reservations for grandmas bday and saw that there was a special occasion section so I put a note that it was grandmas bday and would love it if they embarrassed her... this was completely ignored, maybe they didn't see it no biggie. Our server was a slightly awkward but nice at first. We had 2 kids with us and they were hungry so we ordered right away to get apps moving and placed the dinner order. Apps came out after a short wait but then it was another 25 minutes and the salad I ordered to split between the kids and I with our meal came out and was plopped on table without a word or plates or any other food. After about 10 more minutes of watching tables that sat after us receive and finish their meals... I flagged our server down and asked nicely "do you have a rough idea how much longer it will be for out meals be out" (it had been a little over an hour since ordering and the kids were melted ice cream at this point). She answered "well you got your appetizer and salad didn't you" in the rudest most condescending tone I have ever heard from a server. I felt like I had been scolded for asking. As we sat is awkward silence for what felt like minutes but was probably only about 5 seconds the food arrived and she said "well there you go" and walked off. The remainder of the meal was just awkward, we really weren't checked on after that and she dropped the check off without asking about dessert or saying another word. Food was great but we won't be returning and will be telling people to steer clear after their way we were treated read more

You may see it on the menu as avocado toast, but I'm here to warn you. It's actually thinly spread guacamole on bread with some raw onions and a side of berries stuffed into a jar. They unbelievably charge $16 and then when I asked for a side of avocado, he brought me guacamole from a bag. Either change the price or change the name of the dish on the menu.
