One of my favorite restaurants in Rochester. I remembered that we needed reservations so quickly made them for 4. To my pleasant surprise we were seated in the room off the main dining room. In the room was Fedele's family memorabilia. It decorated the walls. It was so nostalgic and brought back so many beautiful memories. I went to the Brooke house with my family as a child. Our waitress was attentive, efficient, friendly, and patient with us. The food as always was delicious. We ordered one of the specials of the day which was stuffed rigatoni with a meat sauce. The broiled seafood dinner, gnocchi's and calamari as an entree.

Saturday night the 8th we went to Red Fedele's for dinner without reservations. it was kind of early so we sat at the bar for about 30 minutes and the hostess came and got us. We sat at a booth by the east side windows. So off to a great start for dinner. Our waitress came over and took our drink order and appetizer order. To which I didn't eat because it was Clams Casino- not a fan and I'm a vegetarian. He enjoyed it though. And he got the fish & shrimp, clams dish with a side of rigatoni to which he said it was delicious. I got the Ziti Cianciola my favorite thing when we dine at the Brook house. Red's happens to be one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester, NY so to me it was a great night out.

We are starting to really love coming to Red Fedele's Brook House. The people are friendly, the food is great and the decor cracks me up. They have statues of lots of famous people, pictures of them as well. It was Halloween season when we went and they had witches hats on the little statuettes. But about our dinner- it starts off with some yummy Italian bread and a decent salad. We both ordered the Chicken Saltimbocca this time - it's very tasty with the prosciutto and peppers on top. A side dish of ziti compliments the meat. We both enjoyed our meal- our server Danielle is prolly and ultra- friendly! The place was packed on a regular Tuesday night. Note- call ahead for reservations and get on their list. We will definitely be back.

They charge 2+ dollars for a to go fee! When I'm the one picking it up ... and paying a lot in gas They charge to use your credit card now! They charged me 1.50 to add mushrooms to a salad that used to come with mushrooms (and I have them leave off the cucumbers) I was also told one small dressing for my large chicken salad was all it came with and any more would be an up charge... But when I'm dining in they give you a large soup cup dish full. Makes no sense. I'm choosing you restaurant out of all the choices around here but you're not putting your guests first Nickel and diming

I ordered the pasta and shrimp special, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Unfortunately, my daughter is vegetarian and ordered the Gnocchi Rossi, which was quite disappointing. It lacked flavor and was very bland compared to my meal. The biggest downside of our visit was the service. We were trying to enjoy some quality mother-daughter time together, but our waitress interrupted us constantly--almost every time we took a bite. We repeatedly assured her that everything was fine, yet she continued coming back to the table. At one point, while we were still actively eating, she asked if we were ready for boxes. When I said no, she replied, "Oh, okay, you're just taking your time." It definitely felt like we were being rushed rather than encouraged to relax and enjoy our meal. To top it off, we were never offered dessert or after-meal options. Despite feeling a bit rushed and annoyed by the constant interruptions, we still left a good tip because the waitress was working hard and remained polite. Overall, the food was a mixed experience, the atmosphere was wonderful, but the service made what should have been a relaxing mother-daughter lunch feel hurried.

The restaurant was quite crowded during Friday happy hour, and one server was responsible for both the tables and the bar. He was clearly overworked, so we were not attended to as consistently as we hoped and we only had time for one round of orders. The food took a long time to arrive, while the drinks came out almost immediately. *Cosmopolitan Bianca: was very heavy on the gin. I could only taste the lime, with no hint of cranberry or hibiscus. The hibiscus reduction added a pretty purple color but did not provide any tart or floral flavor. *Sweet Potato Fries: were not perfectly crispy, but the portion size was generous. The honey could have used additional spices, since the dish leaned heavily toward sweetness. *Pepperoni Pizza: This was a good shareable option, although it lacked a proper char and crust even when fresh. The dough sat in a noticeable amount of salty oil. The pepperoni cupped nicely and added a slight bit of texture, but the rest of the pizza was rather soggy. The happy hour menu was serviceable, but nothing was executed particularly well. It is not a bad spot for small bites after work, but I would not go out of my way to dine here.

We ordered the panzanella salad, street corn, and a large, shareable ribeye with potatoes. Everything was superb--truly excellent. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was romantic and low-key, and the entire experience was outstanding. They struck the perfect balance of making us feel celebrated without being over the top. For dessert, we had the funfetti cake, which was absolutely divine. I was too full from the appetizers and dinner to attempt a third course.

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

We would have been better with the roaches at Texas Roadhouse. I am not above spending a lot of money on steak. In fact, I suffer from the delusion that more expensive steak = better steak. So for the prices Delmonicos is charging, it should have been an amazing steak. The steak we ordered was cooked to perfection at our request of medium rare. But the steak was way too over seasoned and the accompanying pasta way over done. Also I think the pasta sauce came from the gas station down the street. We also tried the 12-ounce salmon (which is a massive portion of salmon). It came over a risotto that tasted way too salty and under a Gorgonzola cheese that actually made me vomit in my mouth a little. So why 2 stars instead of 1?
