Bopped by this spot with my siblings and my nephew for a quick Saturday night beer. What an AWESOME dive in the heart of Webster! The decor on the walls had me so impressed, and the beer selection is seasonal and inexpensive. I didn't eat this visit, but the menu looks like your classic bar staples: wraps, fries, tots, burgers and more. I ordered a tall Sam Adams Summer Ale which came in a football pint - a cute touch. Our server was attentive and kind, and super accommodating of our one year old diner. Take a look at the tap wall that lines the wall across from the bar. My daughter and I went on wing night. The server we had had so much energy and personality,she made the experience fun. Aside from this being a bar atmosphere,it was welcoming and the food was great. I witnessed another waitress clearing dishes from our table as she passed by and saw hey were pushed to the side. It was busy ,yet they where a team. That was really note worthy. In town on business and it's Wednesday, so you know I have to find me a place for #WingWednesday! One of the customers where I was working was RAVING about The Filling Station so I figured I'd do some research. Sure enough, there have wing specials on Wednesdays, so let me tell you about my experience! Atmosphere/Appearance: It's a sports bar FOR SURE. Lol. Sports stuff plastered all over the walls next to a variety of tap handles that are also thrown around as decor. There are lots of high top tables and a few booths, but was a little cramped in there. We were seated in a booth so we didn't have any worries about being bumped into. It was fairly loud inside due to it being their day of the best special. Service: My customer specifically told me to ask for Wendy when we got to the restaurant. Well, we did and were very satisfied. She had the most awesome personality and really added to the great dining experience. Food: When you come for the wing special you have to order a minimum of 10 and can only get a single sauce. You also have to buy a drink of some sort whether it be wine, a beer or a soft drink. Not bad. I had a total of 20 wings split between Buffalo Garlic Parmesan and Country Sweet. My coworker ordered Medium and we were able to share them all. My favorite was the Buffalo Garlic Parmesan. Let's admit, garlic parmesan on its own doesn't have a whole lot of flavor... right? It leaves you wanting more and just a bit empty... filled with grease. The buffalo added a kick to it that it definitely needed. I loved it. Country Sweet wasn't bad at all. It wasn't barbecue-y, but tasted more like a sweet & sour sauce. It was really good. Medium was just, well, medium. Lol. They were still good. I'd highly recommend the Buffalo Garlic Parmesan and it's at least 1 flavor I'd get the next time I come. Mango Habenero and Fire are still 2 more flavors I'd like to try. Value: I ordered a Merlot and it was $3.24! Had I known that when I ordered it I would've ordered quite a few more! Lol. I didn't see anything about wine specials that night, but I'm glad I discovered it. Wings on Wednesdays are $0.60 each when you order a drink and you have to order at least 10. If you want to skip eating in and take the wings straight home you can pay $0.70 a wing instead. Very good value here. I really liked this place. It is somewhere I'd come on Wednesdays whenever I'm working in the area and I strongly encourage you to check it out. Did I mention they have about 10-15 old school arcade games in the back? Went there before the Christmas Parade at 445 for a 630 Parade. Unfortunately we made the hostess angry by switching tables. She left us without a server for 45 minutes. One came over and we saw them talking behind the bar and the server never retuned. Finally went to the bar to order the bartender said "just a minute" again the hostess came over and I was told to go and wait for a server. Finally after 45 minutes a server came over. By that time multiple tables that came after us had been served. The part of our party with small children left and ended up at another restaurant. the Filing Station obviously did not share in the Christmas Spirt of the Village of Webster, We visit local establishments often and have never never had a problem with a hostess or server before. Our initial waitress somehow left us (? break), so the bar tender picked us up. She was very friendly. My partner however never got his drink refilled even once which was water. He enjoyed his fried fish, but stated the mac salad was " different. " It was brighter inside than I expected for a bar. I was worried after reading the first and only review. The place needs more parking, it was nicer and brighter inside than I would have thought. Under the snow the back deck looked inviting. A crew of my favorite folks were there for a solid 5-6 afternoon hours during March Madness. They reported that like the other review there was only one lady behind the bar and serving food to the tables. They also reported that she kicked a$$ at managing everything, two more servers came on around 6:00. They reported that the food they had eaten all day: jalapeño poppers, fries, fried mushrooms, fried pickles were good. I tried the fish fry, oh I love a skinless fish! It was large, crisp and accompanied by creamy coleslaw. I'd throw the challenge flag at the curly fries, I must have gotten the bottom of the bag, nary a curl to be found. read more

I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was ok. Nothing memorable, but not bad. I wish that there were more fries included with it. I was slightly hungry after eatting this. I would go back if I wanted a drink and was hungry, but not for just dinner. I went on a Thursday and it was busy. I have been told it is always busy. My wife and I recently moved to Webster and have yet to find our go to restaurant. Tonight we tried out the Filling Station and sadly the search continues. Our soups were bland at best and like a salt lick at worse, how do you make lobster bland? The chicken on my wife's salad was rubbery and gross and without asking they charged us for a second 2 ounce disposable soufflé cup of dressing. My fish fry was utter garbage as well. Right out of a freezer into a firer, tasted like crap. Our server was barely passable, they brought out our soups seconds before the entrees. I don't know if they were new or just lousy. There really was zero redeeming qualities to this joint, Stay away from this place unless you are literally starving to death my friends. read more

I left very annoyed to say the least and without eating there. They have this policy where you can't be seated unless your entire party is present. 4 out of 6 of us were ready to be seated and order drinks. The other 2 would arrive in about 3. minutes. We were told there was only 2 tables that fit 6 people and they were trying to cut down on wait time. Mind you they were not at their (limited) capacity yet and the 2 tables for 6 people were empty. We were welcome to stand at the bar and drink. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? This place is certainly NOT about servicing the customer. We walked out and spent our money elsewhere. We dine out once a week so they have lost all our future visits. I'd like to add that they did this to us once PRE covid also and are using it as a bad excuse to do it again. Love the food here! Wing night is on Wednesday nights and they have the best wings in Webster, in my opinion. They will also cook your wings to how you like them, crispy, or juicy. Either way, they are good and they have a very good selection of tasty sauces for them as well. If you like French Onion soup, try theirs, it's very flavorful. They add a little secret ingredient that makes their French Onion soup stand out from the rest and it's really good. Friday (and Saturday) night is prime rib night and it is GOOOOD. Very flavorful. This is a kid friendly place as well. They have old school arcade games like Galaga, Burger Time, Ms Pac Man and BUBBLE HOCKEY!! We decided to try the Filling Station for dinner this weekend. From the outside it looks really tiny but inside they have about 7 TV's, full bar and a great menu. The menu is mostly bar food but it's a very large selection. Patrons were a nice mix of regulars, families, and friends. I ordered the fajita quesadilla and my husband ordered the buffalo chicken panini with mac & cheese. Quesadilla was filled to perfection with chicken, onions, peppers and cheese. Really good but way too big to finish myself! Husbands panini was really good but he didn't care for the mac & Cheese. May be homemade - we couldn't tell - but flavor was missing. Very bland. We plan to head back with friends for some drinks. Great little watering hole in Webster! Try it out! read more

Great place to go if you are in the area, have a good chunk of time and can find parking. Often there is just one person waiting in the entire floor. However with a family run place that can be expected. She sure makes sure that you drinks don't run low and that you are happy with your food. A few things to note. Monday has burger special. Tuesday is Quesadilla night. Wednesday is Chicken Wings night and orders are in quantities of ten. Thursday is taco night and I enjoy this day best even if the meat is a touch salty and greasy. At $1/taco you will never want to go back to Taco Bell as their tacos are great basic tacos. On the weekends they change things up. Prime-rib which is fine. It does take a bit of time to get your food, especially when packed. Good beer on tap and plenty by the bottle. An overall good watering him with plenty of TVs and trivia if that is your thing. Fairly cozy place with decent atmosphere. I ordered the "FIRE" wings, expecting HEAT in my wing sauce. This was NOT the case. Although the flavor was good, the "heat" level was just above mild, at best. When I order FIRE, I expect HEAT & SPICE!! The soda was almost totally flat, with almost no bubbles. Service was just "ok." The worst thing about this experience was that the men's room smelled SOOOO BAD, like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Had to hold my breath while in the men's room. This was one of usual after work places to get a drink. When it was closer to Ontario the staff was awesome and catered to us. Once it moved to Webster they wanted a more restaurant vibe so when me and my buddies went in to mingle and get drinks they treated us rudely. They were mad we pushed some tables together and one girl even told us we couldn't have another when more people were coming. We just didn't know they didn't want to be a bar anymore. Why change something that was a good thing. We still hung out, we just kept quieter. This restaurant has the best fried pickles on the east side of the bridge. I am writing a review on the catered trash plates ONLY. I've never actually been to the restaurant and tried anything else there so if it's better at the location along with all their other food, then definitely kudos to them! Anyways, we got Trash Plates from here and unfortunately was very disappointed. Definitely not worth the $11. Most of my coworkers said the same thing. There was literally no flavor in anything I ate, from the burgers to the mac salad to the home fries... nothing. Now, granted, I grew up with Nick Taho's garbage plates, as well as my family's soul food and BBQ's (so you know I grew up with extra flavor and seasoning), so I didn't expect this too be as good as all that. However, I didn't expect it to be so middle school cafeteria like as well. I'm hoping that it was just a catering thing or somethjng and maybe it's just not as good catered??? I'll try out the restaurant maybe. Hopefully, the rest of the food is good. Otherwise, you guys gotta do better with dropping some flavor in. It doesn't need to be as flavored as how I like it, but it can't be a dead flavor either. Especially for that price. Also, when they cater per plate, it literally was PER PLATE, meaning it was just barely enough for a plate full. It was so little it didn't even make an actual trash plate. we've been going here for so long but due to covid we have been ordering out vs eating in and it's such a disappointment!!! ordered 20...only 20! wings (2 flavors) the other night with extra blue cheese, not only was one of them the wrong kind once we had checked it when we got home but they charged for the extra blue cheese and failed to put it in...it's just an inconvenience and the attention to detail is so poor. It's your job and your responsibility to make sure orders are right. We pay money for the right orders and give you all the time you need to make sure that is fulfilled but it's super frustrating when it's not! read more

I went this afternoon with my family, and overall it was a good experience. Friendly staff, content customers, with a simple decor using common bar items to create light fixtures and decorations. I'd been to the old location twice, and trying this one wasn't a disappointment in the grand scheme of things. I enjoyed my time with my family, that's the important part, and I feel like I would enjoy going again, despite what follows. All three of us ordered the steak special for Saturday night. Salad+baked potato with a medium rare x2; mw steak with baked and steamed veggies as the third dinner. Our dinners, outside of the steaks were great. The steaks, were as follows: both MR were rare, as in unedible rare. Where the MW was "well done, but not so well done it's super dry". Now the steaks were good cut, but it seemed the issue was roughly a 5-7 degree swing in the wrong direction on all three. As a cook myself, I understand the conditions of a kitchen and how narrow a margin that is. I sent my steak back, and it came back a nice medium, it was tasty and the waiter was pleasant about it. I feel, given my experience in the kitchen this could be an oversight of the management more than the cook. A half dozen servers often standing around chatting instead of helping the cooks in back tells a tale. I'm guessing, based on the chat with the waiting, with the use of "The" and "he" instead of "them" and "us" this place follows a faulty method of stack the front with servers and neglect the back that a lot of places have. I could be wrong, but experience tells me this is more likely as a cause than anything. So if there really was only one cook on earlier: I feel bad for him, and he did well given his circumstances with serving staff hanging out chattering while he slaved back there to feed the whole place. I've been there, and there's only so much one guy can do at once, and to be frank. The difference of 7 degrees on a steak is the difference between food poisoning or a medium steak. If it's a singular cook, scrambling to feed all of those people with no help, then something as touchy as 4-7 degrees on a steak will suffer. If that isn't the case, and there's actually a team back there, with a dedicated grill man, and a side guy, and a pass team leader and others, then that changes things drastically. I'm uncertain which, but given my experiences in the business, I expect its the former and won't hold it against the guy manning the grill this time. I'll reserve my judgment for a later time, and I honestly hope the owners read this. One cannot expect a kitchen to produce temp specific meals in quantity with servers lolling about and a single man in the kitchen if that was the case. That's one you, as the owner for not staffing properly, if that was the case, and despite it being common, it's not conducive to good business. I could be wrong in my assumption, but I'll need to come again, and ask how many people are back there I guess to find out. Regardless: We enjoyed our time, despite the fact I had to send my dinner back to be recooked, and my mother had to take most of hers home to cook herself. read more
