Convenient to my parent's home when I visit Rochester but not a place I would return. Pros: + Great for groups. Ample space both upstairs and downstairs. + 2 of the 4 sours I had were decent. + Great for kiddos as they have an outdoor space that's family and dog friendly. It was very busy the day we went with a fun atmosphere outside. + Historic venue with a nice restoration for the brewery. The less great: + The setup means long waits. Having to wait in line for beers in a completely packed brewery with two bartenders is not a way to run a business. They need to consider a new strategy for ensuring they can accommodate the volume they are currently doing. + Had a bite of someone's burger and found it more or less inedible. + My parents had attempted to organize a large family gathering on the day we were there and while I wasn't involved in the planning, there seemed to be missteps and miscommunications along the way that weren't met with much empathy or customer service in mind. Too many great breweries in Rochester to waste time on spots that aren't going to ensure guest satisfaction. Great location though! This place is so, so busy it's obvious the east side isn't brewery saturated (somehow) quite yet. read more

What a gem! If this is not the best brew pub in Rochester, I need to know, because Rising Storm Brewing is one of the best breweries I've been to in 26 states. First off, the food. Wow. The Detroit style pizza is phenomenal! Perfect crispy crust. I was there on a Friday but came back the next day to try the tomato pie as it was sold out on Friday. It was delicious! Think focaccia with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese. So tasty! But what is brilliant is that of four pizzas, one rotates each week and changes. I had one of the rotating pizzas: pepperoni, banana peppers, garlic sauce, and honey. It bears repeating, wow! So great! The beers? There's something for everyone! So many hazy/New England IPAs and sours. Great seltzers too! The space is great with room for private parties. Such friendly staff. I hope to come back again before leaving! read more

This is a big space, so it's great for groups. It does get a little loud at times, but they also offer picnic tables outside. Beer was good. The food was mediocre, although my little guy really enjoyed his cheese pizza. Staff was very friendly. And on a Saturday night the line was minimal. I would definitely come back again. read more

Rising Storms second location at the Daisy Flour Mill. Very spacious seating areas. The downstairs was quite loud. There is a big bar to order beers from and a small area to order food. When you go upstairs it is like a loft area. There are king tables which can accommodate large groups but the chits are not very comfortable. The beer was good. I am hoping to see a bit more atmosphere as time goes on. Good service. Hoping to go back during the holidays. read more

In spite of starting out with the coolest building in the county for a restaurant or brewery, someone still managed to install a bathroom tile style floor and add a concrete bar to this genuine 150 year old rustic mill. It still beats the heck out of most venues built in a steel building, but sell those nasty steel tables and chairs to Mortalis, and stick with something cooler and more along the theme of the building. The beer is good, and the staff ok. This place has the potential to be one of the coolest micro breweries around....I just get the feeling no one wants to step up and make it happen. Even though I think they've done the building a disservice and are selling themselves short, I'll be back. read more

I've been twice and the brews rocked it both times. Thanks to Rising Storm for supporting the community by letting local rescues hold adoption events outside. The service is order drinks n take em, at a different location order food and you'll get messaged (wherever you happen to be hanging out) when it's ready. First time checking out this location. Have been to the Avon location a handful of times. Love that they always have lots of sour beer choices. The bartenders were super friendly and quick. This brewery is the second location nestled inside the retired Daisy Flower Mill. The parking lot was packed Friday at 2pm and its very muddy! Inside is very spacious with low tops high tops and two levels. There were only two bartenders working so lines were long. We sampled a sour ipa NE ipa and a strawberry seltzer. I loved the sour. The seltzer tasted like a yummy strawberry lemonade but had little bubbles. Theres food too that you order at a small stand inside too, but we didnt drink. The brewery had a happy energy and staff waa friendly. No complaints! read more

I was looking forward to checking out this location, but it did not live up to the hype. When we went to order food, most of the items were out of stock. We had a wait for them to make new dough for pizza at 1 pm and share it amongst 4 people. The servers were nice and the beer was the best part. It was odd that you had to keep opening new tabs for food or if you got beer. I did love the look and feel of the location, but the parking lot was pretty flooded from the rain and it was hard to find a spot without a muddy puddle. read more

We eat pizza everywhere, thin crust and traditional, and I'm not overstating it when I say that this might be the best pizza in Rochester. Detroit pan-style pizza with an amazing crispy crust. Each pizza is 4 large slices, so each one is a corner piece. The Roni Starks is some of the best pizza I've ever had. The crispy chicken sandwiches are also incredibly good, and huge. First visit to this newly opened Brewery in the Daisy Flour Mill. Much of the old mill is still visible and part of what placed this old mill on the National Resister of Historic Places. Plenty of space to sit, gather inside or out. Two stories let you sit amongst the old mill works equipment, view the First Snow hand written notes on the wall dating back to the 1920's. Brewing operations are open to view and a wonderful outdoor deck overlooks Irondequoit Creek and Ellison Park. Ample tap list. My favorite was # 7, "Things Done Changed". Refreshing New England IPA. Hops: Citra, Ella, & Columbus. They have selections of Lager, IPA's, Sours & Fruit Ales as well as Stouts. Limited but delicious food menu. We sampled the Chips & Dip that featured house made potato chips and a very creamy and tasty sour cream & chive dip. Mac Salad a must. Large portion enough for 4. The GZA 4 corner Pizza with garlic sauce, shrooms, Italian Salsa Verde, Mozzarella, and Pecorino. Perfectly done, crispy crust, seasoned and garlic flavors. Again 4 people could each have a corner. We brought half home. Highly recommend. Staff super friendly and helpful. Great destination for small or large parties. read more

Amazing renovation of the space and great addition to the community. Came here with a party of three last night and split the roni pizza square and the Mill salad - the food was great and filled us all up. We tried several flights and enjoyed it all.
