Delightful brewery located in Schoen Place Pittsford - enter off Monroe Ave The folks that were working I assumed to be the owners as they knew a lot about the story behind the brewery. There used to be an old copper beech tree in the village next to Thirsty's .. that was removed a few years ago. They were able to get the wood from the tree to create the custom bar. The design company who did radio social and ugly duck coffee designed the interior of the brewery. It's a light bright relaxing place to enjoy some delicious beer. Great spot in Schoen place. Good selection of beers. The Raspberry was delicious. Like the decor and set up inside. Parking can be a little challenging if you don't know the area. We stopped in to try the brewery and we're greeted by the two beer tenders. it was a very nicely decorated space! They have a beautiful bar made from a tree that had been well loved and had to be taken down I guess. They had their air conditioner on, which was absolutely wonderful on a hot humid July day. I came here on an early Saturday afternoon to try a flight in the hopes of selecting a few crowlers to take home. The staff was friendly and knowledgable about the beer, making recommendations based on my taste preferences. The beer itself was great. The stand-outs for me were the New Chiller Mango Pineapple and the Second Pump Mixed Berry. Both on the sour side. The beer that wins 'most interesting' was the Infused Coffee Belgian Single. The smell was clearly coffee, but the taste was so subtle that it would likely appeal to a non-coffee drinker. I recommend trying it for something different! It's easy to miss this place since it's small and located in an area with many different stores but it sits alone in the middle. There is no outdoor seating and seating inside is minimal but it's also relaxing and the staff are so friendly and kind. We sat at the bar with our dog and had a few drinks. Their beer is good. I was in town for work, and thought I would come visit here. Unaware I was about an hour early, I walked up just as Clay and Larry were walking in to start to open the place up. Clay was so very kind to let me come inside and shared a little taste with me, it was fantastic and really shows how happy he is doing this and how great his beers are. Plus like I said, I got to meet Larry on his first trip to the brewery as well, Larry is awesome! I can back later that evening once everything was opened and continued my enjoyment of these fine brews and happily giving them my financial support, I even grabbed some swag which I only do if I'm that impressed! Some have mentioned it's on the small side, which sure it may be, but so is every place in this area, that's part of what makes it enjoyable. Newly discovered this brewery and love it! It's nestled away in the village of pittsford. Overall it's pretty small in the inside but has a few long tables and counters allowing more people to sit. I love sours and their raspberry sour was incredible. It was so tart and oozing raspberry flavor which is everything you want in a sour. The staff was very friendly and informative. read more
