Even though it is very unfortunate this amazing establishment change their menu. I will still come every time I visit because I know the food is always good in the service is attentive. I really like how peaceful it is in the back by the hops growing on the vines. I just really hope they bring back the pierogies and beef stroganoff. It has been awhile that I came last to Rohrbach, so last Saturday a friend and I went for a drink, and some snacks. I had the Apple Pie Cider, my friend the Nautical IPA. My Cider was a delicious apple pie in liquid form, right for the season. Pub Spuds with Cheddar and Bacon was the perfect bite for drinks. Triple Chocolate Cake to end. Yummy. I came back yesterday for lunch. The cup of Cream of Artichoke & Spinach was very good, creamy, hot, warming on a cold afternoon . Schnitzel Sammie with German Potato Salad, and the suggested Highland Ale for the main meal. The sandwich comes in a pretzel roll. The schnitzel was devoid of taste, a bit disappointed with it. Brown Mustard, Mayo, Salt & Pepper were added to enhance the flavor. The Potato salad warm & tangy with a hint of Vinegar was good. I took home a 32 oz can of the Apple Pie Cider. By FAR the best sandwich I had ever tasted was here at Rohrbachs, the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich. (no relish, mayo, lettuce, or tomatoes, though) I genuinely cried eating it, it was that good. The wait staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered chicken French bites, fried pierogis and chipotle BLT. The chicken French bites were a huge disappointment. I made the assumption it would be chicken French in small bites.. these were boneless chicken wings tossed in chicken French sauce. Sauce was amazing but the crunchy chicken didn't quite fit the way chicken French tastes. There is no breading in chicken French. Chicken French is chicken dipped in flour and egg then fried. If you want boneless chicken wings in French sauce then get them. The pierogis were delicious! I would have been happy just having these for a full meal. I would return for these. We also had chipotle chicken BLT. The sandwich was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Highly suggest. The waitress was amazing and it was a wonderful lunch. Great food, beer, and service!! Desserts were pretty good also! Brisket served over a potato pancake with a brown gravy, sautéed apples and sour cream--just yum! Hubby got the German sampler--pork schnitzel, bratwurst & knockwurst served over sauerkraut and German potato salad! He loved it. Saturday afternoon I met my friends for a long overdue get together at Rorhbachs in Ogden. It was my very belated birthday lunch. When I arrived just before 1pm. The parking had open spots but they were getting busy. Luckily I walked in at the right time and got a booth. While I was waiting for them to clean the booth, which literally took 2 minutes, I ordered a glass of Riesling from the bar. The bartender was really on the ball and I got my drink in like a minute. After I sat down the waitress came right over and was quite attentive. My friends who are always late lol! finally arrived and we ordered our lunch. All three of us enjoyed our food. I got the Veggie Quesadillas which were delicious and then for dessert I got the chocolate cake which I shared and we all enjoyed. So overall a very enjoyable meal. This is a fun place to bring a group of friends to. There's an excellent covered patio with tons of space for large gatherings and makes for pleasant ambiance in the warmer months. The staff is friendly and attentive and we got great service. Outside of that there's not much for me to get excited about. They have one decent IPA and my food experience was lack luster. I got the Rohrbach burger. Asked for medium, but it was completely gray, dried out and flavorless. The "artisan" roll was a ciabatta bun. Not a good choice for a burger. It too was dry and flavorless with terrible texture. They should at least offer a brioche bun. But let's face it, there's no bun that could save this burger tonight. The gigantic Bavarian pretzel was pretty good and enough for 4 people to share. Paired with some interesting dippers including a peanut butter mustard. read more

Took my daughter here for the first time. The best part of dinner was our waitress Maria.. she was amazing, kind and so funny.. I've never had a server like her. The Best!! We ordered chicken French bites and perogies. The chicken French bits were good. Different from the traditional chicken French batter on them but still not bad. The perogies on the other hand were so disappointing. I'm half Polish and Eww.. the had no flavor, just plain potato. They could at least buy the ones with cheddar in them or the sour cream and chive.. I have fried them many times at home and these were not fried at all. Don't waste your money on these. My daughter got a fish fry with double fries. She said it was good. I got the Ruben with German potato salad. The Ruben was good, the corn beef was a little dry but overall it was good. So many good choices! If you enjoy German food they will definitely have something to tickle your fancy. I ended up getting a pastrami panini and my mom got the schnitzel sammie and we split them both which worked out good. The schnitzel sammie came on a pretzel roll with cheese, and sauerkraut and was enjoyable. The panini had a good amount of pastrami and cheese on toasted rye and was good as well. I also ordered a cup of the seafood chowder for my side. It was a $2 upcharge and was very good, it had a good amount of seafood which was great, but it was lukewarm at best which was a bit of a disappointment. My husband opted for the German sampler platter which might be your best option as it allows you to try a bit of everything. Their beer selection is good and they have a wide variety of their own beers including German style in addition to others if that isn't really your style. My dad's favorite is the scotch ale. My fiancee and I stopped by at Rhorbach Buffalo Road Brewpub for lunch. We ordered a pint of beer and a few glasses of wine along with our meals. My fiancee had the raspberry salmon with a side of broccoli and white rice. I had the ham and cheese sandwich on a pretzel bun with a side of fries. The service was fast and served in a timely manner. Our waitresses were very nice and friendly and we enjoyed our meals. I walked around the brewpub and saw all the barrels and fermentation tanks through the windows and saw how the beers are brewed. I wish Rhorbach would bring back the heartstopper burger which they had on the menu about a decade ago. However, we would definitely come back for another meal and brews. Prost! read more

I revisited Rohrbach's a few weeks ago, and this spot needs to go on a beautiful outdoor space list. They redid their patio and now it is a gorgeous spot to grab drinks or dinner en plein air. The chairs were comfortable, and they had lots of umbrellas too. For my last visist we got the Blackbird Raspberry Mojito Cider and the Grapefruity IPA for beverages. Both were tasty, and delivered quickly. We also were seated right way for 5pm on a Sunday. I put in an order of the Buffalo Pierogi for an appetizer. They unfortunately were not what I expected because they used to have Buffalo Chicken filled ones from the Pierogi guy. These were normal pierogi covered in a thick boss sauce. They were still okay, just not what I thought I was getting since they changed their menu a little. I ordered the cobb salad for dinner. It was super fresh, and enormous. All of the ingredients were well ratioed out and I was able to take it home and eat the second half late at night ;) My husband got the bbq chicken plate that came with two large pieces of chicken, mac and cheese and fries. He was pleased with the order and the portion. They still have their classic German section on the menu, sandwiches, and their big pretzels. Birthday girl dinner night out! Had a reservation and was seated upon our arrival. We had the German pretzel for appetizer which is at least 12 inches so plenty to share. It is served with peanut butter mustard and beer cheese. It was so yummy. For dinner I had the bourbon fried chicken which was served with homemade Mac n cheese and fries. It was delicious. It was a tease to only have a small piece of chicken as I wanted more once I sunk my teeth into it. The reason why 3 stars as the service was slow. We arrived for drinks and dinner for the very first time around 5:45pm. The place was packed. We didn't have reservations (the website didn't say that we needed them or have online reservation ability). But, luckily for us, a few seats freed up at the bar within a minute. So, we ordered a Scotch Ale and a Vanilla Porter while we waited for a table to open. The beer was excellent. After about 15 minutes, we were shown a table in the much quieter side room (a relief). We ordered the Kaffee Brisket and Schwarzwald Schnitzel dinners. A pair of large dinner rolls and butter were brought to the table. When the mains arrived, both platters were massively loaded with fresh, hot food. No wonder the place was busy! We stopped for lunch, Friday afternoon. We sat outside on the patio. My son-in-law and I each had a glass of Scotch ale which is one of my favorites. I ordered the German sampler platter which has a fried pork schnitzel, bratwurst, knockwurst, German potato salad, and sauerkraut. The portions were very good and all the food was excellent! My wife had the fried pork schnitzel sandwich topped with sauerkraut and muenster cheese on a pretzel roll. She is always glad to be able to get a pretzel roll. She also got a cup of seafood chowder. The Chowder could have been somewhat hotter. The waitress did a good job. I paid the bill by scanning the QR code with my phone. What caps off a visit to friends you only see a couple of times a year? A great meal! That's exactly what we experienced when we ate at Rohrbach Brewpub. It was a busy Friday night when we arrived a few minutes early for our reservation. We were promptly seated at our reservation time to a spacious table for our party of 5. (too often when you have 5, you're seated at a four top with a chair at the end). We began our evening ordering drinks. I particularly enjoyed their beer (I tried Radle On). You really need to take time exploring Rohrbach's menu. I would characterize it as a pub menu on steroids. Two of our friends ordered State Street Schnitzel. It is offered two ways-topped with mushroom gravy or topped with Black Forest ham and beer cheese. They had one of each. My wife and another of our friends ordered the fish fry. This got rave reviews as the breading literally "hugged" the fish and was light enough not to detract from the great taste of the fish itself. Wonderful cole slaw, German. potato salad and homemade tarter sauce capped off this excellent meal. Fortunately my wife was in a sharing mood so I got to try the fish. Many years ago when in Buffalo I discovered Beef on a weck. (the weck is a Kimmelweck roll which I've never seen outside of New York State) When I saw this on the menu, my decision was made. I also ordered a cup of clam chowder which rivaled the best I've had anywhere on the east coast. I totally enjoyed my beef on a weck and would definitely order it again even though there are probably 10-15 other items I'm dying to try. Our server was Dottie who was both super friendly and took fantastic care of us. Want to substitute something? No problem. Empty drinks-didn't happen. A fantastic server can only make a great meal even more great. The next day we toured the Rochester Market and afterwards went to the nearby Rohrbach's brewery location for a drink. As expected on a nice Saturday afternoon, it was crowded but the service was just as excellent and friendly. It's obvious there's some kind of management commitment that flows to the rest of the staff. Good product, attention to detail and focused service is the winning combination we found at Rohrbach's. read more

Our food and service were both incredible. The fried chicken with mac and cheese was some of the best fried chicken I've had, it was tender, juicy and the breading was golden with excellent flavor. We got here when it opened at 11am on a Friday and sat at the bar. By noon, the place was packed, seemed like many regulars. Lots of chatting and laughter, overall a happy place. The bartender was friendly and took great care of us and answered all our questions about beer and food - both of which were great. We both had the cheddar soup and it was delicious. I had a side salad and he had the spinach salad, good portions and tasty, especially the blue cheese dressing. The Scotch Ale was wonderful. First off I'm local but I live in Seattle now, south of Seattle for the last 25+ years. In a section of town where commercial businesses abound, Rohrbachs stands surprisingly high in an unexpected location on Buffalo Road. The restaurant is divided into a tavern side and a side for a more traditional seating. Staffing was amazing, prompt, courteous, and helpful! We had a few of the craft beers offered which were among the best, if not THE best I've ever had. I had the Rohrbach plate which was ridiculously tasty. My parents got the pierogi, and the beef on weck, which they both genuinely enjoyed. My parents are fussy so it was pretty awesome to see them enjoy the meal so much. It was so much fun, and everything was so tasty I decided to try one their seasonal hard ciders , which was apple and completely amazing!
