We'll start with the best part... Our server was fantastic! Efficient, pleasant and chatty without overdoing it. She talked eyelashes with our 15 year old granddaughter which was a huge hit. The food was plentiful and good but nothing really to write home about. Two of our salads had large chunks of core and the bread was cold with hard butter packets. The dinners were solid but nothing special. It was a little annoying that the only way they could honor our reservation was to stick us at a small booth in the loud bar area. The music blaring from the speaker over our table was fine but not really conducive to pleasant dining and certainly not what we would expect at an Italian restaurant. We had to raise our voices to be heard over the bar chatter. I think that we hit this place under some bad circumstances so I wouldn't write them off. Bella Pasta in Greece, NY is one of those classic neighborhood spots that feels like it's been part of the community forever. We came here to celebrate my son's birthday and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We ordered the bruschetta, seafood sauté, and fettuccini Alfredo, and the whole family loved every dish. Everything was comforting, flavorful, and generous, the kind of food that reminds you of a home-cooked Italian meal. Bella pasta was the chosen place for Friday night tonight's dinner. Mostly because I was craving Greens and Beans. So we had to wait a few minutes nothing too crazy and then we were seated opposite the bar in the 1st booth where the windows are. Our waitress came over shortly thereafter and took our drink order to which we both ordered ice waters with lemon and I got 1 glass of Moscato. And then when she came back with the drinks we ordered I got the greens and beans & penne pasta and he got the artichokes & fish French and we both enjoyed our meals. The restaurant gives Italian food a bad reputation. There's nothing remotely Italian about their food. Their pasta is overcooked (al dente is how you serve pasta). Their sauces of any kind are tasteless, the cannoli are the worst my husband and I have ever tasted (no idea what they were stuffed with and got soggy because the chocolate-looking syrup and whipped cream side they are served with. Who does that? They didn't have pizza our waitress said because they had no mozzarella. Our waitress was pleasant and kind, although, she seemed to have disappeared right after we had finished our meal, and asked a host/waitress who was cleaning a nearby table about her. We ordered the cannoli with her (wished we had skept the dessert!) and passed on the message to our waitress. This was our third or fourth time in 7 yrs at this restaurant. It was never that good, but this last time it was one of the worst food experiences in the area. It goes without saying, we will not return. read more

Dropped by Bella Pasta last night for my son's birthday dinner. It was super easy to make reservations and was seated very quickly after our arrival. I was pleasantly surprised by how large the restaurant was inside. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful in ordering. I liked that the meal wasn't rushed and we had time to chat and just enjoy the atmosphere. We tried several dishes and they were all delicious. The place has a dining room, bar and banquet area. Service was very good. Our waitress did a great job considering she was the only one. She was friendly and we got our food quickly. I had the ravioli French with artichokes and a side of shrimp. My mom got gnocchi with vodka sauce, 1 meat ball and 1 sausage. My raviolis and artichoke French was really good. My mom's vodka sauce was ok. It was more like a pink Alfredo and didn't have much flavor. The Italian sausage was good but the meatball was not. It had no flavor at all. Her dish was disappointing. Went for dinner with friend. We both ordered chicken Florentino with artichokes. We received regular chicken French with artichokes. Chicken was very rubbery. We let waitress know. She was kind enough to have a new piece of chicken cooked for friend but never offered for me. Why??? Not sure. I was not unkind to her only agreed chicken was rubbery as my friend had stated. For the past month, my partner and I have been trying -- repeatedly -- to order delivery through GrubHub. Every single time we log on, the restaurant shows as closed for same-day orders. Fine. Inconvenient, but fine. So we did what any reasonable person would do and planned ahead -- placed our order the day before, confirmed it, and went to bed thinking we'd finally get to enjoy a meal we've been craving for weeks. We woke up to a cancellation email. No explanation. No apology. Nothing. Just... cancelled. I am completely and utterly done. There is no dish on this planet -- no matter how incredible -- that is worth this level of dysfunction and disrespect for your customers' time. If you have made the business decision that delivery doesn't work for you, that is completely understandable. Just GET OFF OF GRUBHUB. Went to Bella Pasta for a special occasion with family from out of town. One of our guests ordered prime rib. The prime rib and baked potato were both cold. We sent it back to have it warmed up, when it came back out it was very, very tough and very hard to chew. Ordering an expensive piece of meat like that should have been cooked to perfection. We let our server know that we were very disappointed she said she was going to have "Randy" come over and speak with us, however "Randy" never came to the table to speak with us. Very, Very disappointed and will never recommend or ever come back again. Also it should have been taken into consideration how expensive food is and some sort of compensation should have been made. This place was fantastic! Food was really good, affordable, and sizable. I had the Veal Asiago and it did not disappoint. Everyone in my party seemed to enjoy their meal. It wasn't too loud - just a nice atmosphere. Our server was very friendly- she brought us our drinks and some bread to start. Our group of 10 arrived on Wednesday, April 3rd for our spring luncheon. One of our members had previously met with Kelly, the manager, to personally make the reservation and to arrange the seating . Imagine our surprise when we arrived and there was no reservation for us.Our seating plan went south because the room we chose was being used and there was no longer a waitress assigned to that area. Went to the Ridgeway restaurant today with my wife. We ordered lunch, but then were told one of the items was not available. I thought "no problem, just refund me for that missing item". I was refunded, but then when I took my food to go, there was something extra there, much like what I originally ordered. Their beer batter fish fry was horrible. The batter was so overcooked I couldn't chew it. I had to just take the fish out of the overcooked batter to eat it. Then I asked the server for a box for the french fries but she boxed it for me. When I got home, she not only put the fries in the box, she put the scraps I had left from the fish. I haven't been there in 4 years and it sure has changed. If I ever go back, I'll stick with a sandwich. The people with me were not very happy with the quality of their Italian dishes.
