Ok so when I go to a "discount" store I want a discount! I have been spoiled by Ross and Marshall's and T to the J max! So when I walk into NR and find a great handbag for $259 I'm like what???!!?!?!!?? Does rack mean rack up all my money to spend? Caution: move away from the purses! Do not get fooled! So I Walk over to the clothes...what?!?!?!?!? $167 for a top! Does it come with a steak? This discount store must be for the rich! Ok let me move on to the shoes. Finally! I found some beautiful and comfortable black pumps for work for only 45 bucks! That's what I call off the rack! Everything is well organized and marked appropriately. Let me just start off by saying no one in this store has a name tag so I wasn't able to get the original employees name but I came in to return a gift my boyfriend receive and the First Lady at the register refused to return them and said "we don't know if you got the pants here" but there was clearly still tags attached and she continued to rip the pants out of my hands and I finally told her "can you please let go of the pants?" And then I asked to speak to a manager and the manager came over (De Andra is her name) and she said "I've never seen these pants before, are you sure they were purchased here?" I finally had to call the person that gave him the gift to send the email receipt and when she scanned it, BOOM there the pants were so we got store credit and went to look for a pair of pants to replace the ones we returned and there was a full section of the pants I had just returned. The customer service here is terrible and I will not return until it's improved. And they should really teach the employees not to accuse the customer of fraud. read more

Always had great experiences before and shop and spend a lot of money here. Last weekend approached a kiosk with only one person in line. I've been shopping there over one year and always but at the kiosk to avoid the long line. As I approached the girl turned to her coworker as yo not want to help me. I was carrying my items as here were no carts! Bad move Nordstrom. I tho I you need to purchase more carts, aren't you trying to sell more. Had I had one I promise I would have added more to my cart! As I approached the girl told me only 5 items max. The lines were extremely long , no one else was waiting or approaching behind me. I asked why? She said "that's there policy." I said I never had heard of that and I always have more than 5 items and purchase at the kiosk. She rudely told me it's been his way for over a year. I said funny since I've been shopping there I've never been told that. I asked why there weren't signs. She had no response and again told me I couldn't stay there. So as I'm carrying a heavy load of items almost falling out of my arms hurting my back since they have no carts, I approach the other kiosk I asked before I waited in that line if I could purchase at her line. The girl looked at me and said yes. That is customer service. I told her what the other gal said she said there are no signs, we've asked for signs its ok you can purchase at any kiosk. With the store packed and lines everywhere what happened to Nordstrom customer service? Seems it's just run into another type of mill like a ross or Marshall's! GM you should train you're young staff on what it means to be a Nordstrom employee and offer customer service and you really need to get many more carts if you want to keep up with your customers. read more

I was recently at this Nordstrom's rack on Friday and the guy in women's named Andrew I think it was was very helpful and sweet to me. He helped me with what I was looking for and he looked like he new his area well. After I was done shopping he offered me that express check out which was really helpful because I told him I was in a hurry. You guys need more people like him. Just went in today to return/exchange bracelets that I got as a gift. I went in knowing it would be difficult without proof of purchase, but I know Nordstroms has amazing customer service even with difficult situations. Megan (sales assoc?) was so friendly and patient. She looked through the entire system for me and explained what information i needed to provide. Devon (lead?) was horrible. She entered the situation with a bad attitude and kept telling me they wouldnt take it (before even asking me for info like Megan did). She was so stuck up and had horrible body language. After i already said I would wait for her to create a new price tag so i could return the bracelet, Devon kept saying "it will take a long time. I dont know how long." After i agreed numerous times to wait she said "fine youre only getting sale price" and walked away. Finally when Devon returned and Megan completed my returns, i thanked Devon. Of course, Devon did not even look at me and walked away. IN SUMMARY- todays visit demonstrated awesome and horrible customer service. I love Nordstrom Rack. I love finding a great deal! The only thing that is so disappointing is the makeup section. They have some great options. Most recently there were some Burberry eyeshadows and some urban decay lipsticks! The problem is that every single Burberry eyeshadow (there were about 8 in the display) had been opened by a customer and touched which totally ruins the product. Most of the lipsticks were opened as well. This isn't the first time I've seen the makeup section like this. I've also been back after finding used products and have found the makeup back in their boxes ready to sell. I find that incredibly gross that Nordstrom Rack knowingly sells contaminated makeup. Also the last time I was there, there was a young woman opening all the makeup looking at what was inside/ touching it to see if it was a good color and putting it back. So gross. I think staff needs to find a way from preventing people from touching the makeup because it is an easy was for Nordstrom Rack to lose money! read more

I bought a pair of true religions here about 2/3 months ago(one of many) I have worn them a handful of times yesterday I was wearing them and while I was sitting driving my car I moved my leg and they ripped about 8 inches down the seem and no they weren't to tight.. anyways I had my receipt emailed to me and I can't find it in my email so logically I went to the store to return them thinking they can look it up by email, but apparently they cant or at least that's what the wanna be wicked witch of the West wanna be manager Lisa said and she then offered me a gift card for a penny to return them. I'm sorry but when I'm paying that much for one pair of jeans I would expect them to have a little better system and a not so bitchy manager that clearly was mad that I asked her to do her job then proceeds to insult me by offering me a one cent gift card I'm pretty sure the card costs more! Anyways the block is only 5 minutes away i recommend you take your business there to be treated better and not get offered a penny for a pair of jeans that cost 125$. read more

I really hope this problem is temporary. If it's not, the Rack as we know it won't last - it seems to be sinking as it is. I, like at least one other person who also shared experiencing the waiting line of fools, will add that my experience may be worse. I saw 2 only cashiers; there were 17 people in line. No sense of urgency and of course, they do not empower satellite registers to transact returns from the signage I saw. So I waited and could no longer wait, then bailed. While waiting, I saw a few leisurely employees racking items and carrying on with things, no sense of help there either. Since then, I have missed closing time twice, due to having non conventional hours. For example, it is Tuesday night - and they've closed at 6? How do they expect to serve customers who have to work the hours they're open? read more

Walk in hopefully discovering my fathers perfect size suit on short notice...I know typical customer...We don't find the perfect size pants so of course we give the tailor the least amount of time to adjust my dads pants. I mean Lleana is only booked and full of work for the next two weeks; couldn't she just tailor immediately since we are the special customers they've been waiting for. Well honestly Lleana Stetco and Randi were so KIND. I'm sure they get customers like us all the time, who expect to be treated as priority. I'm sure they are expected to do the adjustments by they're bosses, but they're kindness and urgency to help is what impressed our family. Lleana immediately assisted my father and Randi was so kind to my mother and I. Great customer service is rare now-a-days. Usually comes along with the, I'm being forced by corporate face and expressions. Not the case here, both ladies were genuinely helpful and kind. My first experience at Nordstrom and boy they set the bar. I also love how the racks were organized. The size on hanger actually matched the item attached to it...Amazing right. I NEVER write negative reviews but I am fed up and cannot stand how rude and lazy the employees at this location are. They advertise this whole supposedly more fast and convenient way of checking out process by directing you to an employee who is capable of checking you out without having to wait in the customer service/cashier lines. But when you actually go to the employee, they rudely tell you to go to a different employee because they're going to take a while with who they're currently helping. When you go to the next employee, they tell you the same thing? I might've as well waited in the customer service/cashier lines. This has not only happened once, twice, or three times, but FOUR times. Next time this happens, I will be throwing out names of every single employee that does this. It is unacceptable. A little advice- Do NOT offer this "fast check out process" at this location or hire employees who have great customer service skills and are happy to be working for the company. Thanks! read more

I'm not the type of customer that expects an employee to bend over backwards for me but my last visit to this Nordstrom Rack was beyond disappointing. I've worked in retail from entry-level positions all the way up to managerial positions so I understand that sometimes it can be tough as an employee to please everyone. That being said I was in the men's department for over an hour and not once did I even get a hello. I did see a few things I liked and I know that sometimes there is extra backstock in the stockroom but I didn't even bother to ask an employee for help since they didn't seem to want to help. Two different employees in the department Saw me a number of times but said absolutely nothing. It wasn't busy nor was there a long overbearing line to keep them from trying to assist customers on the sales floor. I'm writing this not only for myself but for the other six gentlemen that were in the department that also didn't get greeted throughout the time that I was there. I finally decided on something and wanted to just get out due to my bad experience and was going to utilize the mobile check out option up until I heard one of the employees that was on this men's sales floor tell 2 to 3 different customers that approached her to get rung up that she wasn't ringing up people at the moment and that they would have to go up towards the front to another line. One of the customers responded that he just came from up there and they seemed to be having technical difficulties so he figured he could get rung up back here with her since she wasn't with anyone but she made it seem like an inconvenience to her. Needless to say, i put back what I wanted to buy and left because I refuse to have to beg someone to ring me up for my merchandise. read more

I try to avoid this place if I can due to how busy it always is. I will say that it's a great place for finding the big labels at a much lower price. In my case - pants for extra long legs. I hate spending a lot of money on clothes that are bound to go out of style within 6 months but when it comes to jeans/pants it seems only the high end stuff fits the way it's suppose to without making me look like I'm ready for the next flood. SO that is my main reason for going here. The line is normally super long and on more than one occasion it goes all the way to the back of the store and wraps around. I think an easy solution would be to have all cashiers up front but they haven't seemed to figure that out yet. I also think that the prices on shoes aren't really much of a deal. Again I understand that there are shoes out there that started at $400.00 (and why people buy into that boggles my mind, but to each their own) so even when they're marked down to $150.00 I'm still not excited about it.
