Had a long lunch so I decided to grab lunch here. This was my first time at this location. It's located down stairs in the men's section. There were a lot of people seated inside when I got here. I should have sat at the bar vs the table but I clearly wasn't thinking. The staff were sooo nice and friendly! For the food I got the chef special with was a 16 oz ribeye, grilled asparagus, and fingerling potatoes. The potatoes and asparagus were cooked to perfection and were flavorful. The ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare and topped with an herb butter that melted all over the steak. The steak was cooked so well and seasoned perfectly that it needed no sauce! This steak was better than some of the steakhouses in the area. Bravo! For the drink, it was crafted perfectly and the smoke finish complimented the steak meal. No complaints here and can't wait to shop and try more dishes here. Would be even a great place for dinner reservations in the city. Stopped in here to eat during a busy day of shopping on Valentine's Day with my mother and my daughter. We were promptly seated at a spacious table. Our server was very polite and tentative. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine and French onion soups, and a children's macaroni and cheese - special heart shaped. Our food arrived hot and delicious. The soup was perfect on a cold day. And although we devoured the soups, the true winner was the macaroni and cheese - the noodles were cooked perfectly and it was immaculate. I wish I had ordered it for myself. Once we finished, we didn't feel rushed at all. We took our time and the staff was very patient. 8/12/2025- Stopped in to the Nordstrom Grill in Downtown Seattle -- the first Nordstrom store -- for a quick bite and was greeted by an incredibly friendly hostess. At 5 PM it was pretty quiet, but by the time I left around 6 PM the place had filled up with diners. I ordered the French Onion soup, and it was excellent -- loaded with onions and topped with a generous layer of perfectly melted cheese. The flavor was rich and comforting without being overly salty. Service was top notch from start to finish. Everyone was attentive without being overbearing. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other menu items. First, the food for the Mother's Day brunch was phenomenal. We will return every year we can. The add on fun of a Photo Booth and friendly staff handing out samples and bouquets was like icing on the cake. I like to come to the Nordstrom Grill at DT Seattle. A very relaxed atmosphere and good service. I came for lunch with a colleague and ordered the salmon from the kids menu. We have a good amount of kids menu and drinks are included. Weekend lunch hours can get busy, so a reservation might be a good idea. And it's a female hostess, too. . Well, I said, there is a woman sitting in a large booth by herself; why are you relegating me to the very least you can do? After spending more than $60 on the Nordstrom Grill Fillet, my experience is a caution. The "steak" was oblong instead of round and varied in depth by almost 1/2". Since I order rare meat, cooking an irregular piece of meat is impossible. It is well done on one side and medium well on the other. Add seven stalks of Asparagus (about 1/2' in circumference at the bottom) and a sprinkle of salty potatoes. This is the most disappointing meal I can remember. It was 'to go,' so my wife already had it home before I saw it. The drinks may be great, but I suggest that you have several. When you are forced to pay almost $65 for garbage, you wonder what has happened to Nordstrom's Grill? read more

I seriously have to say, Nordstrom grill has recently become one of my fav spots to eat at in downtown seattle. No joke when I say this - EVERYTHING is made so well it's art. I can't say I have tried everything on the menu but I intend to in the next few months. Their happy hour is amazing. Last time I went with two ladies and we just ordered all snacks on the HH menu. I just love this place. It's a cafe with cafe food and vibe which we don't have a lot of in Seattle (in comparison with California for example). The food is consistently delicious and the the dining area is no fuss and quick but still nice. I have so many good memories of going shopping with my mom or friends and grabbing a quick and delicious bite at the Nordstrom cafe. Even took my newborn years ago - Nordstrom makes everything easy with their amazing customer service and clean facilities (A+ Mothers rooms) and the restaurant is no exception. I mean sure, a coffee or pastry but we happened to be spending all afternoon walking downtown and well, hungry strikes where hunger wants to strike and since we were mid window shopping spree we decided to try it. Nordstrom downtown has made a comeback from last year's crazy looting. There are so many restaurants in this one department that are uniquely different. The grill is located in the basement of the store and reservations can be made through open table. On a Sunday this place was not busy. The wait staff and hostess are so very nice and friendly. I think they made the experience of eating there enhance the likability of the restaurant. We ordered crispy calamari, hamburger/fries, kids chicken and fries, fried fish and chips and summer strawberry salad. The kids fried chicken dish was definitely not prefrozen but prepared with fresh chicken. The strawberries, creamy goat cheese and organic tasting lettuce was refreshing and a yummy combination. The hamburger meat was thick on a brioche bun and definitely filling where we could only finish half. The calamari though was a little on the greasy side. The fries were definitely addicting. However, the only drawback on this place are the sticky floors..think they may need to do a little better job with the floors. We will go back for the food and libations! read more
