Clean and bright set up. Delicious Spicy beef noodle soup with thin noodles were my favorite. Hubby loved his fat noodles lol. Excellent flavor, wooden furniture, wooden chopsticks and spoons so the only plastic used here was for the cups of water with lids and straws. Would definitely revisit. You can buy your own set of wooden spoon for soup and wooden chopsticks for $5 in its cute little cotton bag. Enjoy! read more

This place is more like 3.5 stats out of 5. While in Fullerton the wife was craving Asian food. There were a lot of choices but you'd have to go tk the Fullerton side that touches Buena park. This place isnt too far from cal state Fullerton and the 57 fwy. When we first got there we were able to get a seat very quickly, but this place slowly got packed as we ate lunch. We ended up getting the items below. Cucumber salad Dan Dan noodles Pork juicy dumplings korean zha jiang mian The cucumber salad is very flavorful. I would highly recommend getting green onion pancakes so you can dip it into the sauce. The pork dumplings were alright, don't expect din Tai fung quality. The Dan Dan noodles were a big let down. Typically when I get Dan Dan noodles it's dry and it's cooked in a peanut sauce. The Dan Dan noodles here is soup based. :( no me gusta You will also need to tell the servers what kind of noodles you'd like. The fatter ones will be more chewy. I like the chewy ones since it picks up more flavors. They have an open kitchen, so you can watch the chef cut noodles from a block into the wok. I don't think you'll see this store from the street. Knife noodles w choice of 4 veggies: bean sprout, mushrooms, spinach, and tofu, 1 protein: pork really was the best noodle dish I've eaten ever. This place to fame are their noodles and I agree. The 4 star rating is going to be broken up into 5 different categories: ambience, service, food quality, flavor and overall experience. 1) Ambience of the place is very much alive. The music is loud, top hits playing and the view of the cooks are seen through a glass. You're able to see the noodles being rolled and treated with care before it hits your plate. The music brings you a positive upbeat feeling. It's like a dinner and a show combined making the restaurant feel so alive. 2) Service, the staff was extremely friendly and looked very hard working; they kept busy and didn't just stand around. The only thing that I would recommend is have them try the dishes and explore they're flavor palette, when asked for they're option on a dish we got the simple, "yeah it's good" I would love to hear a little more, especially because the craft of the noddles are made in house. 3. Food Quality, the ingredients of each dish were beyond what I expected. Fresh. Clean. Great quality. Definitely felt like I was eating a gourmet meal for a great price. 4. We ordered 3 dishes, each packed with great unique flavors. I will break down each dish below. Beef Roll Pancake: Packed with sweet flavors, the beef is nice and tender not chewy at all. The wrap that it's rolled in reminded me of a fried crepe. The wrap itself added great texture to the dish, the beef was sweet and juicy which complimented the crispy wrap. Sichuan Cold Noodle: Very unique and surprising. This dish has a mixture of spicy flavors as well as a fresh hint of garlic & cucumber. The dressing of the noodles is made up of pepper & a red chili that brings a kick to this dish. The cucumbers help bring a fresh cleanse to your palette and a nice crunch to the dish. The garlic balances the spicy dressing by softening the flavor. Stir Fry with Beef: Very flavorful, the sauce that the noodles are dressed in we're mellow and a little sweet from the beef. It was not at all too oily which can happens from a stir fry. So I was really impressed. 5) Overall, I enjoyed my time at Noodle St. other than the staff not really describing the dishes everything was just what we hoped for and even more. If you love hand-pulled, chewy noodles, this is the place for you. (Of course there are other options too, but the noodles are truly the star of this place.) We got the Beef Pancake Roll, Cucumber Salad, and the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with Knife Cut noodles. Everything was so delicious, flavorful, and just right! The beef noodle soup wasn't that spicy (if you are worried. Just a tiny kick). Instead, it was flavorful and complemented the noodles so well. The noodles were so chewy, fresh, and absorbed the flavor well. The Beef Pancake Roll was so delicious as well. It was crispy, but chewy and tender. It was packed with beef and scallions. It was not drenched with the sauce, and the balance was just right. The beef was tender as well. The ratio was great so you weren't getting so much of the pancake and little of the meat like most places. The cucumber salad was flavorful, crispy, and refreshing as well. This restaurant makes fresh hand pulled noodles in front of your eyes! I loved watching the guy make different types of noodles using different techniques. We tried the spicy beef noodle, chicken noodle, japanese pork noodle, xiao long bao, and scallion pancakes. See breakdown below: -Spicy beef noodle: the soup was very flavorful and spicy, although a bit on the salty side. I recommend this if you're feeling something very flavorful. -Chicken noodle: soup was too bland for me. -Japanese pork: don't expect ramen broth. It's tasty but there is a very strong flavor of menma (fermented bamboo). I personally love the taste of bamboo but just a warning. -Xiao long bao ("juicy pork buns"): Not a big fan. The flavor was fine but at least half of the buns popped in the steaming process so they had no soup. The soup is the best part of xiao long bao. -Scallion pancakes: they were nice and crispy but I felt like they could have had more scallions. I love my scallion pancakes to have a generous amount of green onions. Overall the food was pretty good but I felt like I'd prefer the round and flat noodles to be more chewy. I don't know if its the dough or if they were overcooked. The knife cut noodles were my favorite though and I thought they were perfectly chewy. It was a Friday night, and we were hungry and in the area. Found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. It was a full house when we got there but only had to wait 15 minuted to be seated. The menu is limited to soups and stir-fried noodles. We ordered the lamb kabobs as an appetizer - definitely recommend. My boyfriend tried the Spicy Beef Stew while I tried the make-your-own Stir Fried Noodles, where you choose what kind of noodle, protein and veggies you want. I think the coolest thing was being able to watch the chefs make your food through the kitchen window. You can see them making and weaving the dough for the noodles. Felt more authentic. This is my new favorite spot! The noodles taste AMAZING because they are made right there in front of you. We always end up sitting right in front of the noodle master and it's such a pleasure to see them go to work! I typically get a chicken stir fry noodle dish and it's honestly one of the best I've had in a long time! We like to get the beef scallion pancakes and juicy pork steam buns as well. The pancakes are PACKED with green onions and give you a fresh bite every time. The juicy steamed buns are 100% accurate in the naming--one bite and you'll have water running down your mouth from the pork. They are very flavorful too! The chili paste they serve is such a good complement to the food, we always need to ask for me because we put it on everything! They also have really tasty drinks. I've tried both the passion tea and the water melon juice and they both are so refreshing. The watermelon juice is literally a blended water melon so it's fresh (cut right then and there) and isn't one of those gross processed watermelon beverages. The tea is really nice as well and right now (probably because of the pandemic) they have a cute little to-go cup for you that's actually pretty tall! Beef roll! I've been to their other location in Monrovia. This time, my driving route took me to Fullerton. And because I really like their beef roll, I had to have one lol This thing is pretty big. Filling. I only had this and I was satisfied enough to keep me going but didn't get full. The quality of meat and ingredients is impressive. A little too much cilantro and scallions (green onions) but not worth complaining about. The sauce they use and the freshness is perfect. The place is clean, covid safe and my server "Meagan" was so polite and professional. Great service makes up for most of my stars on my reviews. Thanks to her and the good food, I'm a big fan. So my review will be based to my visit prior to covid 2020. I had been working only 5 mins away from this place and had been super curious because the times I walked by I saw them making their noodles from scratch! Yesssss! You read right, from scratch. I had told my bf that we should check it out, so for lunch we met there. The service was great and the inside of the location was very clean. We ordered almost immediately since my time was limited. I remembered we had the spicy beef noodle. Very flavorful and the beef was tender and soft. Our server would check in on us to see if everything was good and from where we sat we were able to see them work on the making of their noodles. Now here's the sad part of my review my photos from that time were deleted. :( I know I know what a dummy but I am going back soon and I will be taking many photos as it will be my kids first time there:D read more

The kim chi fried rice was quite flavorful; just wished it had a fried egg on top. The dumplings were very tasty-- eat them while they're still hot and slurp of all that delish soup inside. When we eat at Noodle St, my husband and I always like to order: 1) Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - broth is flavorful and has a spicy kick but isn't too spicy (reminds me of the Vietnamese dish bo kho) and the noodles are hand made and fresh. You can watch them make it in the kitchen! We like the triangle noodle which has a great chew. 2) beef roll pancakes - they are really good. I LOVE noodles! Especially chewy ones, which Noodle St definitely delivered. We ordered the Chicken Noodle Soup w/ knife cut noodles, Stir Fried Noodles w/ triangle noodles, and Pan Fried Shrimp and Pork Dumplings. Firstly, I love the fact that customers are able to pick out the type of noodles to accompany each dish. These noodles are handmade, and you can see the chefs making these noodles right at your seat! My favorite dish was the stir fried noodles which had an assortment of veggies. I'm glad I picked the triangle noodles which held the sauce extremely well. The pan fried dumplings were my second favorite. Very crispy on the bottom but juicy on the inside. Super yummy with their dipping sauce. The chicken noodle soup was also pretty good but not quite as rich as others I've had. However, the broth was clean and still made for a solid dish. The food is always finger licking but unfortunately today when I went with my family we ordered the chicken stir fry and as my dad was taking his first bite, a long hair came out from a piece of bell pepper. My dad then brought it to one of the workers attention and they brought us a new one. Usually the respectful thing to do is to comp that dish (take it off the bill) instead they only took one drink off the bill. I was honestly disappointed in the service. First off service is a liiiiittle lacking, but it's ok, I'll let it go because they're just slammed with to go orders and they're trying to keep up with the customers rolling in, so it's a bit chaotic. I'm just glad to see a little joint like this doing well. Their noodles are made fresh in house. It's so therapeutic to watch them make the noodles through the kitchen glass window. I actually really enjoyed ONE dish there: Stir-Fry noodles Knife Cut. VERY worth trying if you want a different noodle expeirence but also having a very very well created stir-fry dish. My friend and I really thought this was such a delicious dish. I'm also not going to factor in the sub-par and odd service we received since my 4-star rating has to do with food only. Food: - Stir-Fry Noodles (Knife Cut): THIS WAS DELICIOUS. And knife-cut always is such a bouncy noodle experience and they did a fantastic job coating it with sauces that really brought out a hearty flavor. Just the right amount of oil (and for us, chicken) - I could honestly come back JUST to eat this. It's craveable which was also quite surprising. Every bite was fragrant and very charming in its own way. Also quite comforting. Go for it! - Scallion Pancakes: This was an appetizer and a pretty light option if you dont want beef pancakes. Thinly crispy and wets your pallette for your other food items. Not a bad choice - Japanese Miso Noodle Soup: Okay this was not that great. First off, go with their recommended noodle option (standard round) because what we got was a little too thick (small flat). It was like kalgooksu noodles which is NOT what you want for ramen. Second, the broth was WAY too watery and really bland in flavor. I was quite disappointed. The noodles probably didnt help. Disappointed and wont go back to this. When you come from having hearty and deep flavors in Japanese ramen, this is way too bland. The meat and veggie fix-in options did not help. Service: - Dont expect any grand service. In fact, you may get weird pressured feeling from them to order, eat, and leave. They dont want people loitering and spilling out life secrets and resolving trauma in their restaurant. There's not a lot of seating when there are swarms of people..so they will make MANY hints that you should leave. Like they will begin taking your dishes away, give you a check right when you're finishing up your meal. Weird - wont dock a star, but just had to make note. Pros: - Food items (certain ones) are delicious! And craveable! - okay price for the food. - Service is quite quick. They want you in and out! - You get to customize some of your noodle options which is fun. Try out the knife-cut if you havent tried it yet. I tend to really enjoy the textures of it. Met up a friend for lunch on a Sunday at noon and it wasn't busy. YET. Around 12:30pm the place filled up. And because social distancing is enforced, there's limited seating inside and outside. Plenty of parking around since it's located in a plaza with other places to eat, snack, or get coffee/boba. It was missing the hoisin sauce. juicy pork buns - Pass. Disappointed in these as they were on the smaller side and just not as juicy. stir fry noodles with pork (knife cut) - good flavor with a good serving of veggies. Our kid ate up the noodles and the spinach with it. signature beef noodle soup - Good! Nice flavor and not too spicy for those worried about spice. Overall, we'd come back if we're ever in the area. You could tell all of the love that goes into food, and every dish is handcrafted. The food is such a good price, and it comes in big portions. The spicy beef broth that I order was lacking some saltiness but nothing a soysauce can't fix. The chicken wing is crunch on the outside and moist on the inside. The lamb skew however was a little dry. Pork dumpling skin was a little thick but flavor is good. Now anticipate some waiting if you order other dishes beside noodle. I ordered the Korean Jajangmyeon and the Signature Beef Noodle Soup, both with knife cut noodles. I enjoyed the chewy texture of the knife cut noodles, but I also like that they offer different kinds. The Korean Jajangmyeon had a good flavor, though I think the noodles could have used some more sauce. The flavor of the Signature Beef Noodle Soup was also very tasty. I was soooo excited to try this! I've never had handmade noodles before. The broth was very good and the noodles were great too. But when everything was put together with the beef chunks and greens, it just didn't seem well paired. Also, the beef chunks were large and nothing compared to the photos on their website (much smaller portions). On top of that, 1/3 of the meat chunks I were fat, which reduced the meat-to-carb ratio. However, it's a large portion and the noodles are filling, so still a good value. I just wasn't that impressed. The garlic wings were good however, so I do recommend those. read more

I was pretty disappointed with my experience. Walking in, I was excited to see the window with people making the noodles fresh. The lamb noodle soup ($10) was, in plain words, TERRIBLE. I'm not sure if we were just unlucky with our order? When it was set in front of us it already looked pretty off putting color wise, with pieces of tomato floating in it which was also pretty weird. It tasted as if I were eating noodles in stale water with three or four small chewy tough meat pieces. The "broth" (more like lukewarm water) was so tasteless and bland, even dumping heaping spoonfuls of chili oil in it didn't help. Pros: pretty swift service, good chewy noodles, and delicious beef rolls ($7). Unfortunately, the terrible experience with the soup kind of overshadowed this :( Ironically, If I were ever to come back I'd steer clear of the soups. read more
