Recently, our family visited a restaurant for Friday lunch and experienced remarkable service from a server named Yuki. Despite being the sole staff member attending to all customers, Yuki managed to take excellent care of us, demonstrating precision and attentiveness to our special requests. Her kindness and efficiency made the dining experience truly delightful, creating a sense of blissful hospitality. However, this situation raises important questions about the restaurant's management and staffing policies. It is unusual and concerning that only one server was responsible for the entire dining room, especially during peak hours when the restaurant was nearly full. Adequate staffing is critical to maintaining service quality and ensuring customer satisfaction without overburdening employees. read more

I've been coming to Super Juicy Dumpling ever since I was in middle school and the high quality and reliably delicious food is why I always come back! All their dumplings are handmade and I loved watching the ladies make it when I was a little kid. I always get the Pork Soup Dumpling (non-sweet) and Green Onion Pancake. For veggies, I like the Stir Fried String Beans and the Sprouted Beans. If you like yogurt drinks, try the Beijing Yogurt, you will not regret it! It's tangy, refreshing, slightly sweet and not heavy at all. Their rating does not speak on the deliciousness of the food and Super Juicy Dumpling continues to be a local favorite for me in Brea! read more

Super Juicy Dumplings - Stir Fried String Beans, Green Onion Pancake, Pork Soup Dumpling (Non-Sweet) - Dim Sum Near Me - Brea, California

This is my favorite place I've ever accidentally stumbled upon. I came right as it opened for dinner, 5:30 pm. They let me choose my seat. I received a menu where you can write on to order or there's a stand at the table where you can scan the QR code & order directly online. They provide you with a pitcher of water & a cup. I ordered 3 items off the menu, the Pan Fried Pork Pot Stickers, Wonton w/ Spicy Oil & Chocolate Dumplings. That first sip of the spicy oil from the Wontons had me saying "oh my gosh". Flavor 10/10. EVERY dish was sooooo good. & to my surprise the chocolate dumplings were a variety of chocolate! I tasted milk, dark & white chocolate. So so so good. Edit: I posted this before finishing my chocolate dumplings. It seems there's also a hazelnut or chocolate/peanut butter flavored one! read more

While on my mission to renew my wardrobe, I spent part of the day shopping at Nordstrom Rack and J.Crew Factory. Of course, all that shopping worked up an appetite, and because I wanted to stay on budget, I stopped by Super Juicy Dumplings for lunch. What a great find! Their lunch special is an incredible value at $12.99. I enjoyed Kung Pao Chicken which comes with soup, and in addition to water, they also serve complimentary green tea, which was a nice touch. What impressed me most was how clean the restaurant is. The staff are constantly cleaning and maintaining the dining area. As someone who gets annoyed when I sit down and notice crumbs under a table, I really appreciated the attention to cleanliness. The restaurant felt fresh, tidy, and well cared for. The employees were friendly, the food was delicious, and the overall experience was excellent. Great food, great customer service, excellent cleanliness, and very reasonable prices--it's the complete package. If you're shopping nearby and looking for a good lunch spot, I highly recommend Super Juicy Dumplings. I'll definitely be back! read more

Decent, but not as juicy as I would like. I ordered potstickers, pork dumplings, and the house combination noodles which were recommended by the server. The noodles were reminiscent of fast food Chinese chow mein. I took a few bites and was over it. The dumplings and potstickers had a good filling but the wrappers were chewy. I hope the owners can look into ways of improving the way they cook their dishes. It felt overdone. read more

I've had this place on my list for a while, so I was excited to finally try it. It's located in a shopping center, which is actually super convenient on days when there's a long wait. Luckily, the day I went we were seated in under 10 minutes. The seating inside is pretty tight, not too many tables and they're pretty close together. The food did take a little while to come out, but nothing too crazy. We ordered the juicy pork dumplings (non-sweet), juicy chicken dumplings, crispy beef rolls, and the cucumber with garlic sauce. I wasn't overly impressed by anything, but overall the food was good. However, regarding the soup dumplings, the skins were very thin all around and ripped pretty easily at times when I tried to pick them up with my chopsticks, so I ended up having to race to catch everything with my spoon. Overall, a solid spot for soup dumplings and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. I'd happily come back and try a few more dishes next time. read more

I'm not usually write a review but I feel that you need to know before you buy wonton soup in this place is the worst I ever try. I order to go & the way they take my order was rude & the people is not happy to see Spanic people I know is very rare to find this kind of service but they are very rude & I didn't felt welcome. Super Juicy Dumplings - 1. Shrimp Wonton Soup (10) - Dim Sum Near Me - Brea, California

This inexpensive place is a hidden gem! They serve cheap, traditional dishes that are much more cheaper -while still being delicious- baos, so Din Tai Fung has some competition! Additionally, they serve steaming dishes pretty fast and efficient. To add on, it is family-friendly and chill, which is why Super Juicy Dumpling is so awesome! They have traditional flavors from sweet juicy pork buns to Spicy Mabo Tofu! All in all, I highly recommend coming here for a chill and quaint experience! P.S I forgot to take photos because the food was so good we ate the food itself before actually remembering to take a photo, sorry! ;D read more

We've been to this place a couple of times since I discovered their juicy pork and crab buns. They're large soup buns with thin skin filled with pork and crab meat. You're given a straw to sip the crab roe soup while it's still hot, a special treat that's hard to find elsewhere around here. This time, I brought my son. He tried these buns when he was little but doesn't remember them, so I wanted to bring back some childhood memories of the Shanghainese food we enjoyed on our visits. As expected, he loved them just as much as I did. We come here for one reason: the juicy buns are excellent. Unfortunately, the service has been a letdown sometimes. We asked three times for clean plates, and they still weren't quite clean. When the waitress set our food down, she was looking elsewhere, and the soup nearly spilled onto the table. It's the kind of service you tolerate only because the food is so good. Despite this, we'll probably still return whenever we're craving a good pork and crab soup bun. read more

Why haven't I tried this place until now? I've always seen Super Juicy Dumplings in this plaza and been like "we should try that one day" and that day has finally arrived! We came with our two kiddos at 11:35 and there was already another family seated (also with two kiddos lol) Food was pretty darn good. Portions are great, flavor is great and it's really nice that they have a dumpling making window like DTF! Easy parking and family friendly (we were able to park our stroller next to the booth without it being too much in the way) and there were several other families eating as well. Also kid friendly if your kid is obsessed with XLB like mine is lol. Was also a fan of their dandan/sesame noodles. Will be back! read more

Four pickleball friends decided to eat at Super Juicy Dumplings after pickleball drills. We ordered one lunch special dish - black pepper beef with a bowl of rice (didn't try but it looks good), Shanghai fried buns (very good), crab & pork dumplings (good), spicy beef noodle soup (good - soup is not spicy and maybe too much water. The restaurant is modern with open kitchen design where they make dumplings and buns. With lots of seats. Service is better than average as they are very busy during lunch time. Overall all, most Chinese dishes met expectations. read more

This place has been on my radar for a while. I used to eat dumplings with my dad when I was a kid in LA when I'd visit him for work, so when I saw this spot I knew I had to try it. I was not disappointed. If you're not used to the way they do orders here, it can be a little confusing at first. The staff is super nice, though. There is a bit of a language barrier, but it honestly doesn't get in the way, they still give great service. Now the food... the name on the front does not lie. The dumplings are crazy juicy and full of flavor. The chicken chow mein was so good I could've gone through two or three plates if I had the time. I also tried the broccoli beef since that's one of my go-tos, and they nailed it. Overall was a great experience, the restaurant was super clean and the atmosphere was casual so come here in my hoodie I did not feel underdressed. Definitely coming back and for sure going to recommend this place to anyone who wants to try dumplings.. read more

I have ordered takeout from this restaurant many times and have always been satisfied. However, this was my first time dining in, and unfortunately, it was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. The staff was unable to accommodate our specific requests for the dishes, and communication with the servers was extremely difficult. The attitude and lack of attentiveness made us feel like our concerns were not being taken seriously. Whether it was a lack of training or simply a lack of care, the level of service was very disappointing. I hope the restaurant can improve its dine-in service, because the food has been good enough for me to order many times, but the customer experience needs significant improvement. read more

This is the best dumpling place I've ever been to. I've tried dumplings in Orange County, Corona, and Seattle... and these beat them all. It's clean and neat inside, with super fast service. Don't look for chatty servers. They're going to take your order and bring out delicious food. Everything I've tried here has been great. Their sweet pork dumplings are my favorite but the ribs, the chow mein, the soups... everything is good. read more

Super Juicy Dumpling: a chinese restaurant that specializes in handmade dumplings made fresh to order. Located in the Brea Union Plaza, the restaurant is very simple, streamlined, and clean. From where we were seated we could watch the cooks hand stuff and shape the dumplings as they were being ordered. So of course we got dumplings, but we also got a couple of delicious Chinese dishes as well. Of the 3 savory dumplings ( pork & shrimp, beef, and pork) our favorite was the pork. We also got the chocolate dumplings. I've never had a sweet dumpling to be able to compare it with, but I've gotta say this one was quite tasty. Since the chocolate is melted by the steaming, I'd recommend letting it cool a bit before popping it in your mouth lest you burn yourself. For the "main" dishes we ordered the pepper beef (delicious!!) and the garlic sting beans. I must admit, I've never had any veggie dish as amazing as this! While the other things we had were delicious, the string beans were beyond delicious! On a side note, I want to express my appreciation for the complimentary pot of tea for the table. This is not standard like it use to be back in the day. But, in my opinion, that pot of tea really rounds out the Chinese dining experience. read more

What we ordered: Walnut shrimp Juicy pork dumpling Pan fried bun Shrimp fried rice I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. Tried super juicy dumpling for the first time local Brea Chinese restaurant located in Home Depot Plaza Atmosphere is traditional, Chinese restaurant decoration a bit dated Service is very good We got the steam pork bun and pan fried bun. Both are very juicy. Shrimp fried rice is very large portion with big pieces of shrimp. Sweet-and-sour soup is very authentic Chinese. We also got the beef roll, which tends to be slightly sweet with sweet bean past sauce. Average dish is $16-$19 definitely a local Chinese restaurant I would often visit 5/5 stars Good alternative to budget friendly ding tai fung style food like the xaio long bao read more

Super Juicy Dumplings was the lunch meeting location for a group of Yelpers earlier this month. I had never been to this part of Orange County before so it was all new to me. The corner suite was part of the Brea Union Plaza off Imperial Hwy 90. We sat at a booth that could comfortably hold the six of us. At least one person in our party had dined here previously which made her the expert at the table. The menu featured items expected for a prototypical Asian dumpling house with rice and noodle dishes along with entrees to supplement the dumplings and wontons. Our meal consisted of the following in sequential order of when they arrived from the kitchen... * House Combination Fried Noodle * Green Onion Pancake * Juicy Pork & Shrimp Dumplings * Juicy Pork & Crab Dumplings * Crispy Beef Rolls * Pan Fried Pork Pot Stickers * Pan Fried Meat Wonton I liked the first and last items the best. The noodles were lo mein with beef, chicken, shrimp, and choy sum. The meat wontons were folded into an envelope shape before being pan fried. We don't see this variety very often down south in SD unlike the pot stickers. The juicy dumplings were xiao long baos (XLBs) that were of decent quality. The restaurant was mostly full during our entire time there. The service was good while the company was excellent so we hung around and chatted for a while. read more

Lunch in Brea, California... Since we were in the area, we decided to get some dumplings to share because the six of us wanted a variety of food. If we were by ourselves, we couldn't have tasted everything like we did! Service was great! The staff let us hang out for quite a while. They were efficient and attentive! They tolerated our tea-pouring antics! We got Green onion Pancake, beef roll, house noodles, pan-fried dumplings, and XLB (Xiao Long Bao). The pan-fried dumplings were the best. I've had better Asian cuisine, but the bright ambiance and fun company can't be beat. We had the best time at Super Juicy Dumplings! read more

I have come here before but it's been a while. Came here with friends, and we had such a delicious and fun time together. We ordered so much delicious food I can't remember the names of everything but it was all delicious, our service was good and it wasn't too busy that day either. It was a cloudy cold day so everything we ordered was so comforting and delicious. Was so much fun talking and eating this amazing meal together and just catching up with everyone! I'm so grateful for my friend who picked me up to meet me for this special lunch with everyone. I'm so thankful and happy I got to see all of you and spend time together eating good food and good vibes. We were super hungry & needed a quick bite. I'm surprised there was no wait on a Friday night; I've gone in the past & there's usually a wait. We lucked out! Service is very quick & the food is authentic. I like that you can see the kitchen & watch them make dumplings! Although I love their dumplings, we tried something more substantial this time. The house combination noodles were good & packed with goodies - chicken, beef, shrimp, bok choy, mushrooms, etc. Their honey walnut shrimp is a little different - they add pineapple - which is kinda nice cuz it cuts the creaminess of the mayo. The pork wonton soup had some good flavor on its own, perfect for the kiddo, but we spiced it up with some Sriracha & hot chili oil for us! The kung pao chicken had a kick, but it wasn't too hot at all... great for a delicate palate. It had a nice balance of meat, onions, red& green bell peppers, & peanuts. It's a typical hole in the wall... mostly booths, yummy food, quiet enough to hold a conversation, they leave you alone, but are quick to come when you raise a hand, & they keep the tea coming. read more

For Chinese New Year, we decided to give Super Juicy Dumpling another shot. We arrived around 5:15 PM and found the place relatively empty, with just two other tables occupied. By 5:25 PM, we had ordered five dishes, but after a long wait of 45 minutes, we had only received two. A large broccoli stem was found mixed in with the spinach too. (See picture) When we inquired with the waitress, she explained that they were overwhelmed with orders for Juicy Pork Dumplings. By 6:35 PM, she informed us that our dumplings hadn't even been made yet due to the rush and asked if we wanted to cancel our order. It was definitely a mistake to return here. read more

I went to dinner there with some friends. I'm glad we had a table reservation because this place is very busy. You order as a table by marking items off of a menu card. I arrived last and wanted to order something but had questions. Getting a server to attend to us proved to be difficult. Multiple times we tried to wave someone down and they helped another table or didn't see us. When our server finally did come to our table to take our menu and our order, I finally got to ask about a tofu dish. I wanted to know it's spicy level and if it's vegetarian because there was no descriptions of the dishes in any language. My server answered my spicy level question then marked our menu and left as I started to ask the next question. I never got to find out and visually I couldn't tell if the sauce my tofu was in was mushrooms or meat. While the restaurant was busy, I didn't feel the speed at which the servers moved about was necessary. Then came the wait for our food and other items. The service was a strange mix of too fast and then slow. We needed utensils and it took three attempts to get the attention of someone. When we meet we like to chat and catch up and the location was a bit too loud and busy for our usual chat. Descriptions of food on the menu would be helpful and more attentive servers would be appreciated. read more

In comparison to other Chinese restaurants I've eaten at, Super Juicy Dumplings ranks on an average tier, but their food still tastes reliably good. The dishes we had included orange chicken, sliced bean curd with cilantro, and their juicy pork dumplings. They serve family-style portions, so it's great to come here with a group. With the sliced bean curd dish, I think added flavor and a corn starch slurry would've made the dish much better. Their soup dumplings tasted good, but the wrapping for a few seemed weak as the contents started to fall off. Also, it would've been nice to have a higher soup temperature. Lastly, the orange chicken dish was solid, and I'd recommend. There's plenty of parking, and the restaurant was almost full when we went. It's a popular spot in the area, and they have a Yelp check-in kiosk at the front. Service here is fine and meets my expectations. read more

Came for a business meeting and it didn't disappoint. Got seated immediately to very nice sized table which gladly they have as we filled the table up with so many delicious dishes. Wait staff were quick and nice, the second part sometimes at Asian restaurants doesn't exist...:) AND very clean which is always a plus to start out the meal. Highlights of the meal were the spicy green beans, wontons in spicy seasame oil, pork and shrimp xlbs, steamed pork buns and beef soup with vermicelli noodles. Great lunch spot but beware you may have a food coma after. I would come here again anytime. Come here for your dumpling cravings and you wont be disappointed. read more

This is our ultimate favorite dumpling place in the area! Their pan fried buns are always our must order when we visit. I love the texture to them and hot juicy they are. The baby choy and mushroom was very tasty with just enough salt and garlic to them. They offer complimentary hot tea as you sit down. The sesame balls were good, but their dumplings and buns are our favorites. They bring you a paper to select your order when you sit down and take it from there. We have never had something we haven't liked. This was the first time we got the wrong order as we ordered the sweet pork dumplings and got shrimp and pork instead. Since we like all their dumplings and the buns are our nonnegotiable, we were ok with the mistake. This is a family friendly restaurant with plenty of tables and an open kitchen where you can see someone doing the dumplings and buns. It's entertaining to watch them work their magic. Overall this is a local place in Brea that is very tasty. We went to Din Tai Fung in downtown Disney and we concluded that we stay with this place instead. read more
