Was hungry and was looking on yelp for a restaurant that was open when this name cropped up. I had not much expectations except to find something to eat. The restaurant is in a quite mall opposite Ikea and was quite busy when I reached almost at 12:00 AM. I ordered pork sandwich and viet coffee. They made everything fresh from the scratch. The sandwich was bomb and had a lot of meat filling along with veggies. They also provided homemade special sauce to go with the sandwich which was good. The coffee was good too. The fries dish was really good especially the meat but the price they charge for a fried egg was kinda insane. $3.45! The garlic noodles were really weird, not like any garlic noodles I've tried and even smelled a little weird and stuck together. It might've been spoiled but I didn't get sick so maybe not? Everything was self served from ordering to get your order from the kitchen n cleaning up putting tray away once done so I don't see the reason to tip even though I did. Giving a 3 star since it was our first time at this specific NK so not sure if me and my girl came in on an off day for this spot. Ordered takeout online, and got our usual order at : 2 orders of wings, shrimp garlic noodles, and the chicken banh mi. Extra green sauce on the side. The wings were tiny compared to other locations. Taste was pretty good. 6/10 The Chicken bánh mì was off. The bread didn't taste as fresh, the chicken kinda tasted like it had been left under a heat lamp all day, and the cucumber in it was prob a day away from going bad. 2/10 The noodles in the shrimp garlic noodles were over cooked and under seasoned. The shrimp was the saving factor though and was good as always. 3/10 The green sauce was lacking its usual spice level, a lot chunkier than we remembered, and underwhelming in terms of flavor. Though his voice was a little soft, he had a good attitude to him and super helpful. So glad that this place opened! If you know the area, it's cluttered with subpar fast food garbage, and getting a decent bite to eat after 7 pm on a Saturday (or any day really) is close to impossible. The food is above average quality and I order fresh because I hate having my food sit in a hot container and getting "weird" while I try to time when it might be ready. It's not a bother because the kitchen is fast....certainly faster than any of the fast food options that litter Avalon Blvd. My only issue is that the music is a bit loud at times and makes it difficult to communicate when trying to place an order - and I'm loud. read more
