We always get the bulgogi and never disappoints. The chicken is really good too. Lots of flavor and good portion. Everything is always fresh! So, I thought I'd give it a try, and it did not live up to the expectations. I ordered the garlic noodles and beef bulgogi short rib steak bowl. The garlic noodles were overcooked and soggy. It was like clumps of pasta noddles by the time I ate it (ordered takeout). The bulgogi bowl was fine, but nothing that made it stand out. When you walk into an Asian restaurant, and they don't have rice, you probably should just turn around and walk out. The workers and the kitchen staff seem like an amazing crew, and look like they were having fun. I'm just not sure how restaurants make it with bad training of the staff. read more

I usually love Nguyen's Kitchen, the first time I tried it was at the OC location with a friend because they raved about the garlic sauce and offering. As I live in long beach I don't make my way out to the OC area that often, but was delighted to find out that there was one in Dominguez. The environment itself of the restaurant is a lot nicer than the other location. I went a time that wasn't so busy so the workers were very attentive and the atmosphere was very mellow. I ordered my usual chicken bowl, which was really good however, I typically douse it in the sauce, but for some reason at this location, completely different and was greener and spicier. The Fried pork bun I tried was burned a little as wellOverall, I would say the food itself was relatively the same, but the sauce really changed a lot for me in terms of satisfaction. read more

Such a nice addition to Carson. Nguyen's Kitchen is located across IKEA in a big plaza with lots of parking space. They have indoor and outdoor seatings available. This location is actually a duel concept between Nguyen's Kitchen and Pur Bowls Açaí Bowls which is great because there is something for everyone. This place seems to be still in soft opening so your food may take a bit longer but it's worth it if you love garlic. Will definitely be back. read more

What they fail to say when you get there is they Charge you for your choice. It is NOT Included. 2. PUR BOWLS Which they also own - same employees and in the same area. Their board says the Acai Drink is $6. When I went to pay they tried to charge me $7. There is no way to get to $7 if you charge $6 + Tax. Should be about $6.60. I caught them and even the manager who looked into it on the computer said under her breath "It used to be $6." Next thing she says to me is very matter of fact "It's $7." There was no apology. No sense of sincerity. She didn't fix it. She didn't care that it was wrong. She then walked away. Absolutely UNREAL. Too bad it's too small to file a Class Action because they must have Cheated a LOT of People NOW ON TO THE FOOD WHICH WAS JUST AS BAD AS THE MANAGER'S ATTITUDE 1. **BAD EXPERIENCE** I called this location at 10:45pm this evening prior to sending my husband all the way there to place an order because I wanted the GARLIC CHICKEN BREAST SANDWICH. The website says, only specific locations sell it. Otherwise, they only offer nasty thigh meat. The young lady who answered the phone gave me a confident, "yes we do". My husband gets there, reconfirms they have the Garlic Chicken BREAST Sandwich and proceeds to place the order, along with the Jumbo Tiger Shrimp. He gets home and we open the bag...they gave us the House Marinated Chicken THIGH Sandwich & tiger shrimp that were NOT deveined! Imagine eating tiger shrimp that weren't cleaned! We're both disgusted! My husband goes back to the restaurant, at this point it's past midnight, to get our hard earned money back. Great spot! I've been sleeping on this place but glad I finally tried this place! I've always come to this plaza for the pho but the other day I decided to grab the grill pork and grilled chicken bowl. It came with rice, salad, pickled veggies and cucumber. It was a refreshing meal, not too heavy. Having the veggies made it lighter and healthier. Plus the sauces were delicious. One was a lemongrass sauce and the other was Hoisin sauce.
