Used to love this place. Now is more expensive (which normally I wouldn't mind) but the food is not the same anymore. It lost the original flavor. It seems like these guys are cutting back on ingredients. The service was soooo slow it took forever to get our food. It is sad to see how they are sacrificing something that always made me comeback to this place (their orinal flavor) just to increase the profit margin. read more

Everything we ordered was delicious. Period. We are not living in the area but will gladly get off the 405fwy to eat there or pick up some delicious food. The entrance was a bit confusing but customers would be able figure it out easily. The parking side entrance has an açaí bowl restaurant name and the patio side entrance shows "Nguyen's Kitchen". So glad that this place opened! If you know the area, it's cluttered with subpar fast food garbage, and getting a decent bite to eat after 7 pm on a Saturday (or any day really) is close to impossible. The food is above average quality and I order fresh because I hate having my food sit in a hot container and getting "weird" while I try to time when it might be ready. It's not a bother because the kitchen is fast....certainly faster than any of the fast food options that litter Avalon Blvd. My only issue is that the music is a bit loud at times and makes it difficult to communicate when trying to place an order - and I'm loud. read more

My favorite is the bahn mi chicken sandwich. Comes packed with juicy chicken and veggies. The sauce really brings it together. There's also a good amount of chicken in the sandwich. The popcorn chicken is dry spiced and you can get it spicy. They also have like beef and chicken bowls. They have different drinks like lemonades and milk tea. Open really late and you can eat there and it's clean. There's also an Açai place in there. Recommend it for sure. read more

Food was delicious. I ate it so fast I didn't get a picture. My husband and I ordered the garlic noodles with shrimp prawns, a side of egg rolls and the chicken wings. One more side or dish would have been better, the portions are good, I just didn't realize I would like it so much and want more. read more

We were heading back home and I quickly found this spot on yelp, we made a stop, and the spot has plenty of parking, the space has a good amount of seating it's clean and open, they have the Nguyens kitchen and then next to it inside they have açaí bowl spot( would love to try that next time) I got the steak rice bowl with veggies, my husband got the garlic chicken noodle and we shared a mango refresher (so so good) Everything was delicious, and flavorful. I really liked the sauce that came with the steak rice bowl. We enjoyed our dishes very much. We would come back again. Service was HORRIBLE! The cashier was on her phone texting the entire time then after we finally got our order in there was no clean tables to dine in. We had to let her know that there were no clean tables available. We waited by the table we wanted to be seated at; she clean every table and went to the table we wanted cleaned last. I love the OG Nguyen's Kitchen in Orange, but this place was a super disappointment! The restaurant was very noisy. Music was so loud it made ordering difficult. Since we've enjoyed their other place, we tried to let that slide. The food was not what we expected. I ordered garlic noodles with shrimp. The shrimp smelled horrible, there was no cilantro and the garlic sauce was extremely sharp/spicy. Not the same flavors that we are used to from Nguyen's! My wife ordered a chicken salad. The chicken had no sauce, just dry and bland. The rest of the salad was fine, but I think the overall outcome between franchises should be consistent. I hope they do better here soon! read more

Decent place, was clean, food is all fried, not authentic. Lots of oil used while cooking in the kitchen, so if you like that, it might be a decent choice. Drinks were good. Service was nice. Usually, when we order from here. It's good. But the last couple of times, it's not so great. Last night, place an order online to save me some time of having to wait. I was running a little late. Got an email saying my order was ready. But when I got there, they couldn't even find it... and i guess the other girl was new. So np. I didn't trip. Food was going to be fresh n hot anyway. And she's new....but when we opened our food in the car....like within a couple of minutes after getting our food after having to wait cause she has to input it into the register. Man, I was mad. I was very upset. Spent over 70 bucks. Fries, with beef and fried eggs, garlic noodles with beef, popcorn chicken, banh mi grilled pork. Omg, unbelievable! Fries were freaken cold and stale and bland. I didn't even bother trying it with the beef n fried egg. That's $16.35. Got to the garlic noodle.....paid extra $ for the beef. Cause we ordered it before and it was good. But damn, food was not even warm!! It was still cold. Tried tasting the noodles. ..uhhh it ain't like how it used to be. So there goes $15.45....and I got to the popcorn chicken expecting it to be hot....freaken cold too. There goes $5.45....and I love my banh mi grilled pork. But I couldn't even bite that because it was hard as hell. Can't even press it down to take a bite....had to bite 1 side at a time.....but I only took a bite. Can't even call it a banh mi. And lost my appetite to even force my myself to eat it or my family. Just the thought about how much I spent for dinner to end up with nothing...the drinks were fine. But not cool. We even waited for our order that I placed online and said it would be ready between 6:55 and 7:05 pm...like i said at the beginning I was running a little late. Got there around 7 20 or 30 something. You know how it is when you gotta get the little one ready. But I expected my food to be there on the counter...but nope...so we waited after she was told that she had to input that order. I didn't trip and I was ok with it. And she's new....try hiring a new cooker or talk to him or something. That food was colddd u can't see any heat or feel the tray being warm or anything that indicates that my $77.18 dinner was hot and ready to eat....we don't even live far. And besides within a couple of minutes after receiving our food...it was already money down the drain. Food use to be good here. Don't know what happened. But start with that cooker. Ugh not ordering from here anymore. FYI. Just realized that you can get it for a cheaper price at the store than online. read more
