This is by far some of the best Chinese food you could get and they do not hold back on serving you. The portions are huge the lead sometimes barely close. They are not stingy for sure and the food here is really good and they have a lot of options to choose from read more

$11 for 2 items - what a good deal! I recently checked out China Bowl Express when I was in the area. It's a typical Chinese fast food takeout spot with many classic favorites such as Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken and egg rolls. I got a 2 item combo with half fried rice, half chow mein, along with Orange Chicken and Mushroom Chicken. They were super generous with their portions , and the 2 item combo was perfect for sharing. Overall, the food was solid. While I've had more flavorful Chinese takeout elsewhere, the generous portions and good price make this spot worth checking out. read more

I got this as a delivery order and I gotta say the food was amazing and perfectly packaged and we'll portioned. It was hot when we arrived and even tho it was delivery the service was amazing. I asked for extra sauce and utensils and they even gave us free fortune cookies how nice of them. Anyways I definitely recommend this spot I heard it's always fresh because of foot traffic give it a try! read more

I ordered food from here through DoorDash. I want to say that when I received my food delivery, it was well packed and sealed. The amount of food that was served was great and was well worth the price. The temperature was also awesome meaning it was hot and not cold. Food taste was also great. Mind you that this is my first time doing delivery because unfortunately I can't drive due to my surgery, but I will definitely continue to order from here. Thank you so much to the restaurant!!! read more

Came here during my lunch and the lady only gave me one serving of teriyaki chicken, and I told her I'm only getting that one item she didn't add the second serving. I don't like to write bad reviews but cmon now it was a basic order no way . Next time I'll just go to panda express read more

The food smelled off, the taste of the food wasn't flavorful and tasted old. I ordered the spicy orange chicken and kung pao, it was really not very good. read more

Never ever come her....the women that work here are so rude, don't waste your money! The lady was trying to tap my phone but moving it to quick and telling me it didn't work. I told her you are moving it to fast. She said i do this all day, i said well you have to wait a second with my phone, then she gets rude and nasty and tells me i don't have to get an attitude i have a attitude cause im black? I was telling you to give it a minute and you snapped at me.. Moral if the story, don't spend your hard earned money with a busy that doesn't appreciate it. And the rude lady's name is Marlo, or so I was told. read more

Not the worst Chinese food out there, but there's certainly better. The chow mien is pretty much the only thing I can recommend. It tasted better than panda's, but everything else is completely flavorless. The orange chicken is just sweet with no actual substance, needing to be drowned in sriracha sauce just to get any flavor from it. the broccoli beef tasted weird, and not in a "unique and new" weird, more like a "it was cooked six hours ago and has been sitting overcooked on a hotplate" weird. I have to appreciate they load up your bowls, and an a la carte orange chicken, chow mien and sprite was only $16, so decently competitive in terms of pricing. overall its not the worst chinese ive had but there is definitely room for improvement. read more

Don't get me wrong I really love the food here and get 2 meals from but only thing that happens every time and I mean every brine without fail is oily juice from the Mongolian chicken which makes it a mess I. The worst kung pao shrimp I've ever had. It was very salty and fishy with hardly any shrimp

Gracias China Bowl! read more

Love this place, food is delicious. The amount is worth the price and the service is very fast, kind, and respectful.

Been a customer for over a decade, this morning was the worst customer experience I have ever had in any restaurant. The lady with the big nails and piercings should not be customer facing, she was not listening whatsoever and talked about us behind the counter. There were three employees working and we were the only customers in the restaurant. It was like pulling teeth, she moved so slow with no sense of urgency and she really left a bad impression. I will not be back and if I do come back if that employee is there I will walk right back out. read more

terrible service, rude workers. food is also bland and tastes terrible. found a roach at the bottom of my plate, please improve the cleanliness and the workers' attitude of this place. will not be coming back. just go to panda at this point. read more

The kung pao chicken was really good. Chow mein was great and they gave good portions.

It's pretty cheap, but also I noticed that the Togo box they put the food in is significantly smaller than at other fast food Chinese restaurants. I guess you pay less for a smaller portion. The chow mein does satisfy my cravings, however, the orange chicken didn't live up. It had too much sauce. It was also too sweet and sour at the same time. More sweet than anything.. I would come back but probably wouldn't get orange chicken again): And good orange chicken is so important!! read more

The lady that checked me out was nice, it was clean , but the food wasn't that great :( It wasn't awful, but I probably wouldn't make it a "go to place". I was pretty disappointed that they water down their Sriracha sauce because it definitely takes from the flavor of the sauce and the food. The chow mein was just okay. Unfortunately, the food looks better than it taste. I wouldn't write this place off, but I think I'll stick my regular fast food Chinese spot in Wilmington. read more

Overcharged! I ordered combo A and small drink. Combo A is 8.99 and small drink is 1.75. That makes a total of 10.74. With sales tax that is a total of 11.84. I was charged 12.94!!! I guess they figured a senior would not notice. That is called a rip off. I did not complain but they get this review instead to warn others. They will overcharge if they think they can get away with it! Avoid this place!!! read more

I'm picky with my Chinese food but this place is good! First the staff is friendly and there's always customers inside. Their fried rice and chow mein is good and not greasy like many other places. I could honestly just eat that and be in heaven. I've tried a few different entrees choices and haven't been disappointed. I even brought food to my boyfriend who doesn't like Chinese and he approved! The portions are fair and the prices read more

Poor quality "food" & mighty bland. I can't say I'll be coming back. You're better off going to Panda Express -even if their "food" comes precooked , you'll at least get some flavor. My 9 year old gave it a 3 out of 10. I'm giving it 2 for the added rude service. read more

I come here every now and then during my break from work....Honestly, it's not the BEST Chinese food, but it's OK... POSITIVES: -They have pretty good prices. -Cool choices of Chinese food. - A good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. -Nice workers that give cool customer service! NEGATIVES: -Sometimes, the food can taste a little stale, but when it's not, it's OK. -sometimes you have to fight for parking, since it's right next to other places such as L&L, Wingstop, Starbucks, etc. -the fortune cookies taste kind of old. FINAL THOUGHTS: It's not bad...it's a million times better than PF CHANG's! hahaha! I recommend the orange chicken and green beans. The pepper with onion chicken is not bad aswell! The other chinese fast food place down the street towards Avalon, next to KFC is kind of better to me. read more

HANDS DOWN this place makes the best Chow Mein. This is my go to when I am craving Chinese food. I just wish their kung pao contained more chicken and peanuts rather than being mostly veggies but they are very prompt when it comes to last minute catering orders. read more

FIRST THINGS FIRST. Can we get a round of applause. 6 DOLLARS post tax for 2 ITEM COMBO? How the hell do they make a profit? That's less than the price of 2 cups of coffee! Feeling healthy? China Bowl Express got you covered. Skinless teriyaki chicken + Brown Rice and some beef and broccoli. Eat Chinese food without the guilt! You know how sometimes you walk into a store and the employee looks at you like he hates his job? Well not here, the dude was friendly. You could have a decent short conversation unlike the typical rude chinese joint. Definitely a good stop for lunch. read more

I live a city over from this establishment. But since I found out about the house special fried rice I stopped eating Chinese food in my town. Now I drive here, which isn't a long drive either way, but totally worth it. House special fried rice extra spicy is where it's at. 12 bucks or so, but that will feed 2-3 people. I get it for me only so I have lunch and dinner from one plate! Totally worth it. Comes with chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp. So good! This is my new Chinese place to go, has been for a couple years now! read more

Quick and easy.. lunch combos are a great deal! You get a choice of chow mein, fried rice, or a combo of both and a choice of two sides for less than $6! My favorite would have to be chow mein, teriyaki chicken, and the spicy chicken wings!! So good. Also their hot and sour soup is amazing!!! You get a huge portion for a pretty fair price. I usually call ahead to order the soup cause it can take a while since they make it from scratch. I've also tried the veggie spring rolls and cheese wontons which are sooo yummy with the hot and sour soup! read more

Cheap, good, and excellent service. You can't really complain when you're paying $7 for heaping amounts of fast Chinese food. I had the already made orange chicken, broccoli beef, and Kung pow chicken. I also ordered a side of the spicy wings, and the Mongolian beef and egg flower soup made to order. You can really taste the orange in the orange chicken and it's not too battered like some places. The Kung pow chicken had a nice kick to it and was full of veggies and had good chunks of chicken. The broccoli beef was whatever, in my opinion. The egg drop soup actually had good flavor but it had too many peas and carrots for my liking. Mongolian beef actually tasted like beef and had a nice little kick to it. And the wings were good, but had a taste of vinegar that was a little overpowering. One thing I really noticed about the food was that a lot of it was bright ass reddish orange: the kung pow chicken, the wings, and the egg flower soup. I sense a theme going on. Hahaha What I really loved about this place was the customer service. The guy at the register made small talk and he was really nice. He saw that one of my bags was leaking on the inside and told me to hold on while he changed the bags and wiped it a bit. I'll definitely be returning. read more

Been coming here since high school! After tennis practice and my god daughter loves their chow mien and chicken here. When she wants noodles this is the place she wants to eat, portions are awesome and yup it's less than 6 bucks for a two item! WINNING!!! The fact that they have been here for that long just makes me happy, what more can you ask for great food, big portions and service is great. I am right outside this restaurant. It is 8.30pm. I was told that it is closed. It's funny that it says here in Yelp that it closes at 9pm. So much for trying to bring in business. UPDATE: If these were unusual circumstances, I wished I had been told kindlly. Because I did base my previous comment on the level of service received, and because I did not rush to write it after only one such experience, I feel that it is fair to let the public know of the customer service they will receive so that they can make informed decisions. read more

Overview: +Beef Broccoli +House Special Fried Rice +Wonton Soup +Friendly Environment China Bowl Express is an absolute gem and a perfect quaint Chinese restaurant without all of the widespread corporate flaws that most other Chinese restaurants are plagued with. This very friendly, family run, restaurant is very reasonably priced and perfect for anyone wanting authentic real Chinese cuisine with the utmost quality. The House Special Fried Rice was to die for and my whole family absolutely loved it. My kids won't eat fried rice anywhere else and always request to come here! As well we are big fans of the Beef Broccoli and Won Ton Soup. The only thing I would say is the owners don't speak very good English but that does not take away from the incredible culinary experience they offer every day! Do yourself a favor and treat yourself with some real authentic Chinese food here at China Bowl Express. read more

The server was handling and when asked to wash her hands and wear gloves, she refused and rolled her eyes. Do not go here.

Not as good as it used to be. They used to have a lot of variety no it's just 6 variations of chicken.
