It had been months since I last stopped in, but, judging by how Lin immediately knew my order, you would've thought I was just in yesterday. I always order a 2 Eggrolls, and for my Patient, just a small side of Orange Chicken 'cuz my Patient doesn't like chowmein or rice ... crazy, I know. It comes PACKED in the standard, white paper take-out container. & for me, I always get about a scoop and a half of chowmein and Barbecue Pork on top. Lin NEVER disappoints!! I ate here on a Saturday after 1pm. The place is pretty straightforward and chill for a quick lunch. I ordered a 2 item combo meal with Chow Mein, Steamed Rice, Mushroom Chicken and Beef w/ Broccoli. The items still looked fresh and neat. The lady gives generous portions of each item. My total was a little above $13, and can be paid by cash or card. The chow mein was savory and both entrees were not greasy. The steamed rice was fluffy and perfectly cooked. The Thankfully, the broccoli saved me from feeling bloated. It's unfortunate I have to write this review as I have come here many of times and enjoyed the quality of food however that does not make up for the lack of quality in service, so much so that I'm having to find a new place in my area for those reasons . I say this respectfully but I have been served by the shorter older lady and I understand this is a quick service however she can be rude regardless if it's busy or not . This last experience as soon as I walked in there was a line ahead so I patiently waited and when it was my turn right away as they usually do they ask what you are getting starting off with the chow mein and rice , then once proceeding to the sides I had asked for the steamed vegetables and I wasn't aware if they had it or not because I've ordered it before and there was no issue but this time they so happened to be out she then seemed irritated and made a comment "next time you need to tell me first to put it the order" with a rude tone . In my defense I didn't get that chance as they right away start and ask with the rice and chowmein like I previously stated , and made me feel rushed so that comment wasn't fair to have made,she could've simply said if I wanted that item I would have to wait and that's all. I feel that I have given this place many chances for other times for example on two separate occasions I have paid for my order and then immediately after they(the same worker I previously mentioned) will say they forgot to charge for something I wasn't aware they missed and by the second time I've questioned them because this has happened before and again there was no apology from their end for this mistake she had rolled her eyes . This last experience truly was unfortunate to have received having been a loyal customer but something needs to be fixed in that area and hopefully this review helps . I hope the owner knows this is not to be confused with "miscommunication or misunderstanding" this was just one of their workers unfortunately displaying rudeness which is not excusable when I wasn't treating them that way . About 4 or so years ago i moved from my old town to lomita and the only thing i missed was my old favorite chinese food place. Eventually I found this place and loved it! It's always so cheap, portions are beyond generous, and no matter if i come in close to closing time, or early in the morning they always serve with such kindness and make me feel welcome no matter what! Only think i wish for this place is if it had just a little more life on the inside so more people would dine in and that it we open mondays! It's the typical experience of selecting noodles or rice (or "half and half" with half noodles and half rice), and some entrée items. None of the items really stand out in my mind, but they're all fresh and nicely made. Recently I asked for white rice rather than the regular fried rice, and they said they didn't have white rice; however, they had brown rice that was much healthier, and which I found tasted pretty good too. Following the departure of the supermarket next door, and eventual more major construction for a new business, this location won't seem quite as lonely sitting in the corner of the large parking lot. I've been here quite a few times and the food never disappoints. Personally I think their entrees and sides taste much better than Panda Express. The portion sizes they give are also very generous - my boyfriend and I always share! Sometimes when we're extra ravenous we get the salt and pepper wings, which are crispy and on par to wing places. The customer service can differ depending on who's working, but there is one lady who is so friendly and I appreciate the effort she makes with her customers to make their interaction better. I used to enjoy going here for a couple years, recently it's starting to head downhill from good customer service and prices. First the prices went up dramatically which is understandable with the economy and then no long after prices going up. The serving container got extremely small in size. The containers are packed with rice and noodles and very little of the entree. The food has become bland, makes me wonder if the use of spice has been cut also. The restaurants a dreary look and boring. I would only get food to go, the only reason I gave 2 stars is because there is one polite woman working there. And on the flip side there is an older woman that is very snippy, so after I got my order I gave a $5 tip of which will be the last dollar spent here. It's too bad this was a great friendly place.
