Chicken Chow Mein Broccoli Beef Teriyaki Chickenteriyaki
Betsabe H.

My heart breaks because my intention isn't to put down a small business but I had high hopes based on the reviews. As another reviewer pointed out, the chow mien was more veggies than noodles without any flavor and mostly salted. I love chow mien so I was looking forward to it. I really was. But it didn't meet my expectations. The food was overcooked and I got half and half, beef broccoli, and chicken teriyaki. I was grateful to have food but it wasn't what I thought it would be. The lady was so friendly and happy to serve but I think they need to double check the cooking process.

The BEST Fried Rice in town!

This place has the best fried rice in town. I went here on a fluke and glad I stumbled in. Whenever I'm in the area I have to stop here. They give you a healthy portion and it's very flavorful. Also had the beef and broccoli which was very tender.

YOOO I been coming here ever since I was little!! Let me tell you--they NEVERRRR MISS! Man the barbeque pork is the best barbeque pork EVER, it had to be said! with the fried rice it doesn't get better than that.. I know it's looks like the most unassuming place ever but mannn this spot hits like no other. & these portions can easily be shared or saved for later! amazing! When I went in today I kid you not I walked out of there under less than a minute. SERVICE WAS THAT QUICK!! & the lady was smiling the whole time! the best hole in the wall ever

Not delicious...I'm from the east coast so I guess my standards are high because we had some good Chinese food back home. I was disappointed despite the reviews. Also there wasn't no egg in the egg fu young!!!

Small but mighty! Small but mighty is my description for Chinese Deli. This small spot in Carson has some mighty delicious food! One can easily miss the tiny building that houses Chinese Deli. It would definitely be sad though to miss out on this place because they offer some delicious food for good prices! A combo with two entrees, fried rice and chow mein runs for under $13. Entrees include yummy dishes like Orange Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken and BBQ Pork. Aside from entrees; one can get sides like egg rolls or soups such as Wonton Soup and Hot and Sour Soup. I found the food here quite tasty! I enjoyed the BBQ pork. It was good in flavor and was very tender. I also liked the Mushroom Chicken. I found it to be quite savory and paired well with the fried rice. One other thing I noticed here is they are continuously cooking and so you are sure to be getting fresh food. Sometimes for small places; food can sit for hours under the heat lamp. That is not the case here as I personally saw them bringing out newly prepared food from the kitchen. This place may not look like that much from the outside but I highly recommend checking this place out for their mighty delicious food

Small standalone store, set-up with prepared food in steam trays that you pick from....just like a lot of other fast food chinese places all over LA. It's a stand alone building with some parking, as well as spaces in the back of the nearby KFC (there are no signs threatening towing if you park there as a non-KFC customer, so the businesses must get along OK). We were doing some errands in the area, and this place got good reviews, so decided to stop-in for dine-in. There isn't much room inside, but there are a few tables set-up to the side for dine in. It is a Panda-Express/Hong Kong Express set-up, where there are already food prepared that you choose from. Usually a 2 or 3 entree combo can be shared between us, so got the two item combo plate ($13.47) with half fried rice and half chow mein adding broccoli beef and teriyaki chicken. One impressive thing was that the fried rice had bbq pork in it, instead of it just being plain. Portions are large, and everything tasted OK. Drinks are cans only ($1.79). It was quite busy while we were there, and everybody chose something from the steam trays, so the food seemed to be turning over pretty fast.

It's not the glitz and glamour type of restaurant it's the kind of spot that instantly brings you back to childhood with the smells, the sounds, and that familiar mom-and-pop energy. You walk in and it just feels like home. The food is the real reason you come here, and it absolutely delivers. The salt & pepper shrimp was the standout for me crispy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and honestly so good it feels like it's in its own world. It has that nostalgic taste that hits in a way newer restaurants can't recreate. Nothing about Lucky China feels mass-produced or corporate. You can tell it's run with heart, history, and pride. It's the kind of place you keep in your rotation not because it's trendy, but because it makes you feel taken care of. If you're looking for a true mom-and-pop experience with amazing food and that old-school charm, Lucky China is it. I'd absolutely recommend it.

They have lunch specials so I ordered the Kung Pao chicken for 13.99 which included egg drop soup, a fried wonton, and an egg roll! Depending upon your appetite, this could easily be two meals for light eaters. I also ordered a BBQ pork fried rice for mi amigo who loves it and it was the entire container (didn't take a pic). My KP chicken was good and satisfying. As for the restaurant. It's a good size with plenty of parking and a big dining area so you need not worry about waiting for a table. I had a lovely conversation with whom appeared to be one of the owners and she was so friendly! She apologized for the wait time on the steamed rice and I told her no apologies necessary as I was not in a hurry. I will definitely be back again!

I was googling Chinese restaurants in my work area and I have only tried one other across the street and wanted to try another mom and pop but place my order online for pick up. This place was the only one that had a website (out of the ones I searched) that you could place an order online and pay for (I could have called in an order I suppose at the other places). Located in a really tiny strip mall with a convenience store and a couple of other restaurants, parking is super tight and made me super nervous driving through it (blink of an eye). I opted to park at the USA Gasoline station next door (at a gas pump) as there were no parking spots available. When I walked in, the place looks like a complete dump (sorry, being honest here) with clutter everywhere! One family was dining in and there is one long table and two other separate tables so I would not plan on dining in (just take out). I was not worried about the food quality cause as they say, hole in the walls have the best food! So I placed my order at 11:29am & it was supposed to be ready by 11:43am; however, it was not ready until 11:55am. I got a lil nervous due to where I parked (at the gas station) so I noticed a couple of open spots in their congested parking lot and immediately moved my car. Magic happened upon my return: my food was ready! I ordered the kung pao chicken with steamed rice (brown or fried is 1.00 more). I also added on the hot and sour soup, egg roll, and fried wonton for 1.99 more. With tax, my order came to 20 bucks and some change. For the portion size, it equated to two meals for just the kung pao chicken (not the rice nor apps). As for flavor, I ordered medium on the heat level and it was not spicy and it was good but lacking a bit on flavor. The owner who served my takeout was very nice but you could tell she was a bit busy manning to go orders. Not opposed to trying this place again, but the parking situation is a major stress fest.

I have always loved their food but today the rice had a mushy texture. The food (cashew chicken and…read morebroccoli chicken lunches) were very tasty. The veggie Egg rolls were a little salty. Every restaurant can have an off day. Would recommend them and they are reasonably priced. The boys are very friendly and helpful.

There was eight of us, and we ordered a lot of dishes to share. I'm gonna break them down, but I have to say that nothing we had was not top quality. I haven't had food like this in years. First was the Kung pow chicken. Wow, it was just a perfect blend of spice and the chicken was perfect. No gristle. And that is the theme of this entire meal. I hate gristle, this Kung pow was sublime. Sweet-and-sour pork. I basically given up on this dish because no one gets it right, and it's always an excuse to hide gristle and fat. Not in this case. It was super tasty and for the first time I can remember there wasn't 1 ounce of gristle in this meat. It was just crispy tasty wonderful. Hong Kong style chow mein with pork. Another dish I haven't had in years, and this place nailed it. Reminded me of my old China house restaurant in Alameda. I mean it was really good. The pork was awesome, the gravy was perfect. What a great dish. The fried rice was excellent. Not greasy at all. I believe we got a combination fried rice and man was it good. Shrimp with lobster sauce. This was excellent, God this dinner was just so great, and this dish was right in there with the rest of them. I can't wait to go visit family again so I can eat at this place. It was spectacular. Oh and the last thing, the hot and sour soup was amazing. Again haven't had this type of food since I left the Bay Area. I give this meal a triple wow!!!
