Decided to try this place since was I was hungry and waitin for my laundry, and as they had finally reopened and fixed up the front where someone had crashed into their place which closed 'em up for a while. Anyways Theyre super nice people, I ordered the teriyaki sandwich! Chicken was great texture, perfectly moist and not dry at all. Comes with fries and drink for like $10+tax, Its a bit more than I would expect spend on this, but the value of the sandwich made me forget about the cost. I am happy to say that dons is still terrific! I recently went in following their "remodel" and was worried that they had gone the "corporatized" route. The inside dining and counter area are perfectly clean and the menu is now riddled with photographs, and of course instead of noodle soup they call it Ramen. That being said, the beef noodle soup is still terrific, the short rib dish is wonderful, and they are as friendly and attentive as ever! read more

I went to this food spot for almost 2 years. I loved the food. The spicy pork was delicious, as well as the pork katsu and chicken teriyaki. The portions were great, and the price was affordable. Anytime I was in the area, this was a spot I enjoyed eating. I recommended this place to a couple of friends. However, for the past year this food went downhill. The portions are smaller and the food quality has lowered greatly. The spicy pork is mostly fat. Before, I would have given this place 5 stars.. but sadly not anymore. Juicy teriyaki place on Lomita This place is hard to find since its a small place inside a plaza and the sign is hard to see. However, you'd be surprised at how good the food is. The price is decent, same as other teriyaki places. The service is great and very homey with the cute Korean older lady who looks like the owner. The food is excellent and is very clean. Love how it tastes like Korean bulgogi, chicken, and the ribs is like galbi. It looks like it would be Hawaiian but it tastes like Korean food which I love. I got the combo plate for $11, but their bowls are about $5-6. The food has great quality where the chicken is soft and juicy. The beef is tender and tasteful. The ribs are marinated and delicious. It is not overpowering of teriyaki sauce which brings out the flavor of the meats. I also tried their beef wrap which is wrapped with clear rice Paper like Vietnamese rolls. The rolls are about $5 and very delicious. Food looks and tastes very clean and fresh. Definitely found my lil teriyaki joint by work.
