Good restaurant Good food Good service Clean restaurant I like to eat here I eat here often

Flash fried green beans, spicy tofu and savory mushrooms, with peppers and carrots, to veggie spring rolls, and a Thai iced tea: $14.50.

I delightful surprise: tasty, affordable ($5.59 lb) clean and friendly. More vegetable choices than any recent Chinese express restaurant. /Fried green beans in a sweet tangy glaze, spicy silken tofu sauté, and savory mushrooms with carrots and peppers! The loyal customers haven't completed their finishing school field work but future incarnations will permit them the opportunity.

Compared to other fast Chinese food places I would rate King's Wok Express with four stars, but compared to most Chinese restaurants it's more average, probably just a three star experience. There are three basic food areas. Normal combination plates, a Mongolian bbq, and smoothie drinks. There are the classic fast-food Chinese items. From several visits there, the best item I've had is the Kung Pao Chicken. Personally, I didn't care for the Mayo Shrimp, shrimp mixed with pineapple and mayonnaise, but someone else I was eating with really liked it. For the Mongolian Wok experience, enter the items you want on a clipboard, and someone from the restaurant will select the items from the food counter at the side of the restaurant. I tried this one time and the result was rather lackluster, and I've not tried it again. Service has usually been good, though I did once have communication difficulties with one person, and another time someone forgot my smoothie order and had to be reminded.

Food need some work, mainly the rice which was very bland, but then again you get what you pay for. You pay by the pound of food u get. That box ran me around $9. Service was quick and efficient.

I ordered a Milk Tea and It tasted really sour and weird. Idk if it's supposed to taste like this but I suggest you go somewhere else if you want milk tea. The food from here is good though!

I love fake Chinese food. My favorite place was King Wok in Altadena but that one closed down during the pandemic so I thought I'd give this a try. The food was very mediocre. Good portion for the price though. Beef + Broc: 6/10 Orange Chik: 8/10 Not bad, I'd get this again Shrimp: 4/10 No thanks, it's mostly dusty tasting outer batter. Pineapple and sauce is sweet and tasty. Just the shrimp and batter sucks. Fried rice: 7/10 Not bad. Not good. Chow Mein: 5/10 Was looking forward to this the most, but it was the most disappointing. No taste or seasoning. Just tastes like straight boiled pasta. (That's right no flavor)

Receipt showing food overcharged and not weighed and not eaten because it took too long to cook

Location not efficient in phone orders, overcooked fried items, slow service on requested cook items, and overcharged by a new set price and not weighed items.

    That shrimp was incredible!!!

Have you ever wanted to try more then just the 2 sides most Chinese food places give you when you order a combo plate. Well you hit the jackpot! This place lets you order your food and pay by the pound. What does that mean exactly that means if you want a bite of orange chicken, beef broccoli, bbq pork, black pepper chicken you can choose as much or little as u want and have the ultimate fast food Chinese experience. I recommend you give this place a try. The shrimp with pineapple dish was maybe one of the best thing I have ever had from a Chinese restaurant.

From many of the Chinese food places that I have tried in the Torrance area, this is one of my favorites. The food has a good flavor, and it is not as salty. It is in a small plaza that has decent parking spots. The dining room is quite large and has many small tables for smaller parties and many big tables for large gatherings and groups for parties. Food - The food was pretty good compared to all the other Chinese places in the Torrance area. It has a good balance of flavors and is not as salty as the other Chinese restaurants in the area. The prices are reasonable if they are lunch special prices. The dinner prices can be a bit pricier. The tangerine chicken and the sesame chicken both had great flavors, but could be a bit crunchier, though. The duck was decent in flavor, but the portion was a bit small. The other dishes that we ordered were all very good too. Overall - I would return to get more Chinese food here because the prices are reasonable and not too bad. The service was good, and the staff were wonderful in trying to help us order the food if we had questions.

The dish was absolutely delicious! Just as good as the prior owners - probably even better tasting food with the new owners! I saw the old servers - which was great they everyone kept their jobs! I continue to be a huge fan of this place! Absolutely delicious food, nice quantity, authentic tastes, and super friendly new owners!

Overheard several people ordering the fried chicken and fried salt and pepper shrimp, so maybe their deep fried foods are good. Cons: The Hong Kong Style Crispy noodles and Fish with Black Bean Sauce were a 2 out of 5: The flavors weren't really there, mostly a sugary "gravy" taste. Not bad tasting, perhaps similar taste profile to Panda Express but with less distinct flavors. Overall may be crowd pleaser dishes but if you're used to good Chinese food, you may be disappointed. Service was friendly but slow during lunch special hours on weekends; servers seemed overwhelmed by the crowds.

There was eight of us, and we ordered a lot of dishes to share. I'm gonna break them down, but I have to say that nothing we had was not top quality. I haven't had food like this in years. First was the Kung pow chicken. Wow, it was just a perfect blend of spice and the chicken was perfect. No gristle. And that is the theme of this entire meal. I hate gristle, this Kung pow was sublime. Sweet-and-sour pork. I basically given up on this dish because no one gets it right, and it's always an excuse to hide gristle and fat. Not in this case. It was super tasty and for the first time I can remember there wasn't 1 ounce of gristle in this meat. It was just crispy tasty wonderful. Hong Kong style chow mein with pork. Another dish I haven't had in years, and this place nailed it. Reminded me of my old China house restaurant in Alameda. I mean it was really good. The pork was awesome, the gravy was perfect.
