Love this place! The food is delicious & it's a great price for AYCE. Make sure you come on an empty stomach. Highly recommend!

The station where they make your food.

This is my go to place for Mongolian! So good!! I'm always greeted when I enter and then taken to a table. The staff is very friendly and always aware when your drink is getting low & brings another without asking. On the tables it reads you have to ask for rice but they also give bread. All pretty good comes pipping hot. The place itself is a decent size has a few T.V's and a busy street view. When you're all done eating they will bring you the bill. The station has gloves to put on so you don't have to touch the bowls your food goes in & utensils with bare hands to pick up the items you want in your bowl, it does help to stop spreading germs and such. There are plenty of items to make a plate this time I saw shrimp and that was a new item to me. I even ask for my broccoli to go a little longer to make it soft and they do. I always give a tip when I'm done because they work non-stop it does get busy. Overall I love it and I keep coming back!

Atmosphere: Clean, inviting, spacious. Staff: Very friendly and quick. They kept re-filling our water and brought out rice lickity-split. Food: This buffet is awesome. You can be super-healthy, not-so-healthy, or go bodybuilder style. For example, you can do some chicken and all veggies (like I did on my second helping) and feel great about your life choices. I saw a guy with two bowls of meat only and I asked him if he was a bodybuilder. My first plate was noodles and veggies with chicken and it was awesome. Price: didn't break the bank and was well worth the cost. I went to the buffet twice and didn't feel like I was cheated at all, very fair pricing. I will be back.

The Baseline: For Mongolian BBQ restaurant the grill meats must be quality, the buffet item table set up must be functional, and the chefs must cook the food well. Food: I love Mongolian BBQ and the only thing that would make it better is if they were cooking on a shield. Big ok is a big food and big flavor establishment with a great selection of meats and veg that will go great with the pile of noodles you give the chefs to cook. Pour on the garlic and ginger water to make your pile of tasty selection marry each other in flavor. It is all you can eat and worth the price point to eat here. Service: Great service and water refills were made several times. Ambiance: Busy at an All-you-can-eat level. The chef put on a show for cooking your buffet selections and it is a fun experience to watch you meal get cooked on the massive cooking flat-top grill.

The food was alright but wasn't that flavorful, even with the variety of oils/waters available. My big complaint was the cost. I was there at lunchtime on Saturday and was charged for dinner. When I asked, the woman said on weekends they didn't have lunch prices, though it didn't say that on the menu. Then there was a tip jar by the grill that said they don't split tips between the seaters and cooks. With an iced tea, my total was a little over $34 f or just me.

Nice sit down All You Can Eat Mongolian BBQ. Everything is always clean, and the service is prompt. There is a lot to choose from even if you don't eat meat!

This concept is just like at the mall where you get whatever meats and veggies you want and they grill them for you except it's ayce. For the price of ayce I think this is a great deal. You get seated when you first walk in and then you can go to the food bar where they have different types of raw meat and veggies. After you get the foods you want you can add various sauces for your food to be grilled in and then you wait in the line around the wok where chefs take your food and cook it for you. There are only one cut of each meat (i.e., one beef, one chicken, one lamb, etc) and they aren't the best quality but honestly still really good for the price you pay. They have a wide range of veggies and I can't see how anyone would have trouble finding something they like here. The chefs rotate around the grill, cooking the meat and veggies together first and then adding in things like noodles so they're not overdone. They'll also clear a part of the grill to make vegetarian dishes or portions for kids so it doesn't cross with other people's dishes. I made my dish after someone who used a lot of chili flakes so my dish came out pretty spicy but the nice thing is they'll allow you to make a new dish without charging you for the leaving the last one. You can also order rice and Chinese buns at the table to eat along with your stir fry. Inside is pretty spacious but it can definitely get to be a longer wait to get your food if it's busy. Everyone has to get their food cooked on the same wok and there were up to 5 chefs working when I was there. I would recommend getting two bowls each time so you don't have to wait multiple times in the line. I went in the line twice and was stuffed by the end of my meal. This restaurant wouldn't be the best place to go if you're trying to enjoy someone's company over a meal as most of the time you're waiting in line but the price and the amount of food you get is a steal! One thing I wasn't a fan of is the chefs don't get any of the tip you leave on your check. If you want to tip the chefs you have to leave a separate cash tip at the grill and in my opinion the chefs deserve the most tip. The table service is good but they just come around and give you rice or water refills, while the chefs are moving around the hot wok and actually making the magic. I definitely would come back here and would recommend this for any big eater.

Review #956 2026-020 Rates: Dinner, Weekends, Holidays Pricing: $23.95 served with Rice & Chinese Biscuits $22.95 vegetarian & senior $16.95 ages 10 - 12 $13.95 ages 6 - 9 $10.95 ages 3 - 5 Free ages 2 & under Lunch Weekdays Pricing: less $3 from dinner pricing We have this annual girls lunch/dinner to celebrate our birthdays, & just stay in touch. B picked Big Wok Mongolian BBQ as a midpoint between the 3 of us, & Winnie said it was AYCE, which was a good thing because I got our dinner date mixed up & didn't really eat lunch beforehand. BWMBBQ is located in Manhattan Beach, off busy Sepulveda Blvd. & 10th St. I was apprehensive driving through residential streets directed by navigation, thinking that there's a restaurant here until I saw the moniker's bright lights. A moderate sized parking lot is shared with 2 other restaurants out back. There's no front entry off Sepulveda Blvd. so you enter from the parking lot. Process: The diner selects from a buffet of proteins (chicken, pork, beef, lamb, shrimp, tofu; meats are frozen) & fresh veggies (onions, mushrooms, shredded carrots, spinach, bell peppers, zucchini, broccoli, cabbage, bamboo shoots, tomatoes, green onions, baby corn, corn, cilantro, water chestnuts, celery, bean sprouts), & of course, noodles. There's a sauce station to season your bowl(s): House Special, Spicy Sauce, Ginger Water, Dragon Hot Sauce, BBQ Oil, Teriyaki Sauce, Curry, Garlic Water, Lemon Water, Serrano Chili Hot Sauce (with a 3 sauce menu suggestion); along with condiment jars at the end: vinegar, minced garlic, red pepper flakes. There's bowls on the left with disposable gloves (kinda wasteful) to mashed down the ingredients, just get an extra bowl & don't overfill. Our plates were pretty loaded so we didn't ask for rice even though it's included with the rice. My 1st round was chicken, tofu, spinach, onions, bell peppers, broccoli, green onions, bean sprouts, & noodles; sauces: 2 House Special, 2 Spicy Sauce, 1 Garlic Water, 1/2 Ginger Water, 3 Dragon Hot Sauce. I was surprised at how much food I had even after cooking down the chicken & spinach. The grill was clean so I kept my intended flavors. I love their fresh, hot shaobing (燒餅)... flaky, nutty aromatics, & soft. It seems kinda hollow, so I bit along the length edge to create a pocket & stuffed it with chicken & veggies. Damn... it made for a great mini burrito! But I didn't want to fill myself on carbs, & not be able to finish my plate. I eventually clean it & went back for a refill with less noods, more tofu & veggies in 1 bowl. I was so stuffed after grazing about an hour! I needed a walk (I did) to get rid of my food baby. I also had GERD driving back (yikes!) & took a pause to purge for relief. Whew! To think I wished they had dessert (ice cream macarons or pudding) like in their olden days, but then I would have kept to 1 plate. Like most AYCE restaurants, food must be consumed on premises & no boxes will be provided for leftovers. What's different was that we were not charged for my pregnant friend's leftovers, which was nice. Not sure if they have a policy to charge for food waste, though it would have been nice if my friend could box her plate instead of wasting it; it looked like there was a full serving left. Decent price point for AYCE with select options, & how much can you really eat? Price point is a bit high for the kiddos, at mine wouldn't be able to even eat close to that value. Service was friendly but not readily available; need water & shaobing refills. There's a separate tip jar for the cooks, so the receipt tip likely goes to the servers & possibly back kitchen. Big Wok Mongolian BBQ was even mentioned in Eater LA (09/2023) as possibly the last remaining Mongolian BBQ buffets in S. CA. They're not; there's Mongol King (Torrance), Caesar's Mongolian Bar-B-Q (Cerritos), Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ (Westminster) just to name a few. BTW, did you know Mongolian BBQ (蒙古烤肉) is a Taiwanese novel dining creation inspired by Japanese teppanyaki & Chinese Beijing-style BBQ, & marketed by comedian Wu ZhaoNan? He couldn't call it "Peking BBQ" after his hometown due to political sensitivity & ended up with "Mongolian BBQ," though the restaurant does have their version of its history. Would I come back? Maybe. If I do, I have a plan to minimize the noods & stuffed the shaobings instead. Nom, nom, nom!

Food is great, people is very friendly and fast service. Love this place! Using plastic gloves to choose food is ok , but it's more trash to our planet. Wouldn't be better hand sanitizer hands? Just an opinion here. Love their orchids!!

Every time I come in here I get better and better at making my bowl bomb! Recently I've only had to go from here and I'm hyped that it's still warm by the time I come home. It's hard to take the whole plate down cause I always end up with 1 plus pound of food so I make two meals out of them. Pro tip: add sauce generously for the best flavor.

Big Wok is a solid choice for Mongolian BBQ. I appreciated the quality of the ingredients and the variety in offerings. You make your way down the line and fill your bowl with as many meats, veggies and noodles as you desire, then finish it off with one of their plentiful sauce options. They suggest 1-2 scoops per bowl but I would go with around 6. Meat options are chicken, beef, pork and lamb. If you go during prime time the grill may be a little backed up but the cooks are working as quickly as they can over that hot grill and you shouldn't be waiting too long. Bring some dollar bills to tip them. We enjoyed the sesame bread provided at the table and washed it all down with a crisp beer. Come hungry to take full advantage of the AYCE.

This is an OG spot of mine. I love BBQ in general but something about Mongolian BBQ hits different! My usual order consisted of noodles, chicken, veggies, and topped with sesame seeds. I went around 6pm on a Monday and it wasn't crowded surprisingly. It's always a vibe and the workers are very fast paced and friendly. I love coming here to have dinner.

Big Wok Mongolian BBQ is such a great spot! The food is fresh, flavorful, and you can customize everything just the way you like it. Portions are generous and the pricing is very affordable, especially for the quality and variety you get. Free parking is a huge plus and makes it super convenient to stop by. The staff is friendly and the overall experience is always satisfying. Definitely a go-to place when you're craving Mongolian BBQ!

I ordered the following items from the menu: St. Louis-style ribs, Beef rib, brisket, potato salad, coleslaw, and chili. The St. Louis-style ribs were very easy to bite into and flavorful. The beef rib (only available Fri.-Mon) was perfectly tender, smoky, and fatty. The bark wasn't excessively thick, which I appreciated. The brisket, which I got the fatty part of (they ask you if you want the lean or fatty cut) was my favorite of the three. So fatty, juicy and satisfying to eat. None of the meats really needed the sweet bbq sauce I got with the meal. The side items were spot-on as well. The potato salad, coleslaw and chili were the best I've had in quite some time. I regret not getting some chili to go. I have a sneaking suspicion a nice helping of it on hotdogs would be amazing. Can't wait to come back to this place. The place is really cute, clean and just a little upscale - great for locals and visitors alike. As we seated, we ordered our drinks. They were all great and quickly served. They do know how to make a nice, dirty martini. We started with the house made focaccia and cheddar biscuits. That focaccia was warm, light and delicious with butter. Everyone loved it. Then, the biscuits showed up and stole the show. Order the biscuits. I ordered the sea scallops dish, very tasty and light. The other standout on the table was the Monday night special of fried chicken. My peer and boss split that dish and it was plenty. Half of a chicken, perfectly battered and fried! For dessert, we all shared the cheesecake and budino. Very cute place for brunch events as well. All of the staff were very good and multiple people helped serve the table. Go there, get some. Life is too short for boring food.

Me and the OG girls had planned for our "end of summer" beach bike ride from Santa Monica Pier to…read moreManhattan Beach; stop for lunch at Rockefeller and return back to the pier...but, "Hurricane Marie" had other plans. The rain storm caused the bike rental company to cancel all bike rentals. We called Rockefeller to cancel our lunch reservation, and they were kind enough to offer us an 11am brunch seating. So, the 8 of us decided to make the 45 min drive (in the rain) from the San Fernando Valley to Manhattan Beach, and what a time we had!! *We arrived at this very cute, rustic and cozy pub and were seated immediately. *We were greeted by our fabulous host, Kenn...who kept the mimosas and champagne flowing throughout our meal. *We started with the fried zucchini, chips and guacamole, truffle fries and sweet potato bombs.. Delicious! *Our main consisted of the infamous Sancho Burrito (lived up to the hype), chicken & avocado burrito, French toast, chilaquiles, steak & eggs, cheese omelette and washed it all down with more mimosas! We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at The Rockefeller and will definitely be returning soon, not just for the food, but to see Kenn!! His friendly, energetic personality made our day so special...he is an absolute gem!! Thank you Kenn!

I've walked past this place multiple times seeing their $2 burger Tuesday deal and I was so excited…read moreto finally try it out! Turns out it's $2 full size burger with purchase of drink that is $6 or more (or any drink and it will be charged for $6) which is such a great deal! It's a cute lil sports bar right by the beach and for the area it's in, it's surprisingly not crazy expensive. The food was also quite good and such a reasonable price. The burger of the month was delichous and it wasn't just a normal burger since it had arugula, pepper, and other sauces. The queso dip was also decently sized and proportionate to the chips ratio. Absolutely would visit again, especially for $2 burgers or happy hour!

Drink orders were taken quickly and everyone found a delicious cocktail to begin. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and fried deviled eggs to start. Everyone loved the dip as there was hardly any left by the time I eyeballed it. That was ok though because I was focused on those eggs. I love me a devlled egg and had never tried a lightly fried one before. The quick fry does heat the entire bite up so just be mindful. It was good but I'd likely try another appetizer first. Then, we got down to the entree orders. They do offer a bistro plate that has a 4 oz filet on top of a little piece of garlic toast. It comes with a side of soup, corn chowder, and a bistro salad. I have to admit, it was a perfect size for me. The corn chowder was creamy and delicious, not too much roasted corn and just perfect amount of heavy cream ans spices. My filet was perfectly cooked, medium rare. I asked and received some creamy horseradish for it, which was delicious. The bistro salad had an Asian vinaigrette and was perfectly crunchy to pair with the filet. My peer ordered the Reuben sandwich which looked pretty amazing. Another ordered the meatloaf special on a bed of mashed with gravy which also looked incredible. We split two "butter cakes" which were so good. Yellow cake with an external crunch of sugar crystals, topped with a berry compote and whipped cream. Now, THAT was a standout among desserts. Go there. Get some. Life is too short for boring food. The staff were all incredible as well, very attentive. This place may become a "must do" while we're in town moving forward so keep it up, Nick!
