    Pork Melt

Excellent dinner. I had a half rack of St. Louis with a side of Mac n cheese (which had a little spice to it)! If I had any complaint, it was that they auto-sauce your ribs. I don't like sauce, but either way, the food was delicious. I have a beard, so I much prefer dry ribs. They were tender, great marbling and pull-off-the-bone! The spice in the Mac n cheese was an unexpected delight! My better half had the pork melt, which has Mac n cheese in it, pork, chipotle sauce and more. We had sides of cornbread, as well. She loved her food! Service was pretty good! Not a lot of dining space, but absolutely perfect! Thanks, Britt's! I will be back when I'm in L.A. for Iron Maiden in September! Cheers from the Bay Area! You outshine our prime bbq joints (other than my own back yard) :-)

    Habenaro chicken bowl!
    Sokna S.

Food: 5/5 Ordered the habenaro chicken bowl. First off, this chicken was really spicy. The flavor was sweet, spicy, the chicken was cooked perfectly. The corn, was an awesome addition. The rice was great too! Perfect portion. Service: 5/5 Great staff, quick service, everyone is really nice! Ambiance: 3/5 A bit tight and parking isn't the easiest but definitely worth trying. Looking forward to coming back!

One of the best BBQ on west coast . Britt's bowl is world class award winning bowls with gourmet meat and beans complimented with home made bread . Their southern style sweet ice tea is taste like straight from grandma's kitchen. Plenty of parking outside and restrooms clean. I wish though they had the music on but that's ok . Atmosphere was amazing a rustic and cozy interior. Overall highly recommended. Service took very long because there were only 2 employees available.

Honestly, this is one of the best smoke chicken I've had consistency is amazing. Always the same. Great food same great service chill ambience employees are courteous, and helpful. Prices are fair and the food is delicious. I want to gate keep this place every time I come here, but I want them to get all the business they deserve. Also, don't forget to tip the staff for the great energy and service.

Two meat combo with sides and 1/2 rack of baby back ribs corn bread and salad
    Ruben S.

Bought the 2 meat combo....brisket and BBQ chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and a side of BBQ beans..and a half rack of baby back ribs side salad and corn bread...food was on point...loved the chicken and ribs over the brisket..mashed potatoes were tasty no gravy available but not necessarily a bad thing...the beans have hint of spiciness that slightly kicks in...dipped a piece of the buttery corn bread into the beans and oh man that hint the spot..paid $63-$67 bucks..it was a lot of food..good deal easily would feed 3 people..food over all was good ...parking in the back...nice clean location...service was super good I initially tipped at the register dropping a few bucks into a plastic container but I left a second tip at the table cause the young man working there was super attentive and genuinely a good person even offered the availability of the restroom and brought out a box as he observed that we had three ribs left over...honesty food was crazy good ...im a big fan of Harris Ranch off the 5 freeway up in the central valley ..but im from los angeles and out at the beach in the el segundo area several times a week...definitely will stop by again

Parking was easy, the ambiance is cute with the brick wall. The woman who took our order was very sweet. We got the 3 meat combo; bbq ribs, pulled pork, and tri tip along with the macaroni and the potato salad. They even threw in free corn bread. Everyone was delicious and it was at a great price too. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone.

    Pork Melt, Tater Tots
    Winnie K.

Britt's BBQ has classic Southern comfort food. It's a small shop with friendly service. There's a parking lot in the back and metered spots in the area. For the food: The pork melt is decadent with cheese crusted Texas toast, mac & cheese and pulled pork. The tater tots are crispy and delicious.

Awesome sides: potato salad, coleslaw and mac and cheese
    Steve S.

Found this spot randomly on Yelp while I was in the area. Pretty small place with 6-7 tables and with excellent customer service. I decided to order a 4-item combo for me and my wife. The portion was huge and could have fed like 4-5 people. The St. Louis ribs, which I tried a lot of, were just okay, as they were hard to bite on, with the outer layer feeling too chewy and over-smoked to dry. The lean brisket was just okay and not on the tender side either. The STARS OF THE SHOW, however, were the baby back ribs and tri-tip. Now those were incredibly delicious, tender, melt in your mouth kind of meats, which made it worth coming for. Another standout was their potato salad side, which was unbelievable. Probably the best potato salad I've ever had, with potatoes boiled to perfection and submerged, along with a few other flavorful ingredients, into their delicious sauce base to create the Champ of all potato salads. Will come back for more!

Are they open as of May 17,2020?

    yes

Does this place actually smoke their meat? I've never smelt anything coming out of here. Update: I…

One supposes that the breezes through Maybury by the Sea, and the "deodorant" effect of the refinery nearby help considerably. But, seeing (and tasting) is believing —- https://www.instagram.com/brittsbbq08/

Last time i was in the area this was closed. Was it permanent or just remodeling? Is this place still open?

    Yup, just went on Sunday.

My bartender and server was named Elise and she was fabulous. I asked her lots of questions about the restaurant and she was happy to answer them. I also want to add how big this space is. We ordered one of the large platters that more than fed all of us. The barbecue items and the sides were all pretty darn good. I didn't drink this time around because I had to drive somewhere right after but they do have a great selection of drinks. Just a really solid place if you want good barbecue in a fun atmosphere. Seemed like there's plenty of parking in the area, which is also a plus.

Came through for happy hour with me, the Mrs., and two friends and we basically made it our mission…read moreto run the entire happy hour menu top to bottom... and I'm telling you right now: it didn't miss once. Every round that hit the table was a "pass it around, everybody try this" moment. The kind of happy hour where you're not just snacking -- you're accidentally having a full-on dinner because you can't stop ordering "one more thing." Food: Legit. Everything we tried was solid, but the wings were the standout for me -- the kind you keep reaching for even when you tell yourself you're good. Great flavor, cooked right, and they held their own against any wing spot that claims they're "known for wings." Whatever they're doing back there, keep doing that. Service / experience: This is where they really won. Trent was our guy tonight and I can't say enough about him. Manager supreme is the right title -- he wasn't just checking boxes, he was running the whole experience. He served, suggested, kept the pacing perfect, and made it feel effortless while still being locked in the entire time. You can tell when someone actually cares that your night is going well, and Trent is that dude. Major asset to this business and the kind of manager that turns first-time visits into "we're coming back next week." Atmosphere was exactly what you want for Manhattan Beach happy hour: lively, comfortable, easy to settle in, and perfect for a group. We came to try the menu and ended up staying for the vibe. Only complaint -- and it's not even on them, it's on the "beach cities trying to save the world one soggy sip at a time" vibe -- the paper straws. I swear those things last 11 minutes before they turn into a wet napkin. Let me live, Rockerfellas Bottom line: If you want a happy hour that actually delivers, Rockerfellas is it. Bring friends, come hungry, and if you get Trent taking care of you? You're in elite hands. We'll be back.

If I can tack on a 1/2 star or 1/2 point above, I would. And the only reason WHY I am not giving a…read morefull 5-star rating is because of The Rockefeller's cockamamie rule of "yes, we're dog friendly" but "you can't have your dog or your party block the sidewalk" and "we're not allowed to have the chairs out to here (indicating a particular distance on the sidewalk)", etcetera, etcetera. GIve me a break. JUST SAY that The Rockefeller isn't dog-friendly and be done with it, ok? By the way, this incident WAS on Mother's Day 2026, so the staff was particularly overwhelmed. . . so there's that timing. On a previous time my husband and I had brunch here about 4-5 months ago, we DID take our little doggie without any issue. So the staff either has to get their stories straight for next time or just say that The Rockefeller IS dog-friendly, BUT ONLY for a two- or one-person party. Other than that, The Rockefeller's Chilaquiles are phenomenal. It was flavorful and filling. Also, the Bacon & Eggs (two eggs, any style) -- which I had my eggs over-easy -- were outstanding. Bottom-line: Don't bring your dog. It's just too complicated for The Rockefeller to handle. Leave your dog at home.
