Excellent dinner. I had a half rack of St. Louis with a side of Mac n cheese (which had a little spice to it)! If I had any complaint, it was that they auto-sauce your ribs. I don't like sauce, but either way, the food was delicious. I have a beard, so I much prefer dry ribs. They were tender, great marbling and pull-off-the-bone! The spice in the Mac n cheese was an unexpected delight! My better half had the pork melt, which has Mac n cheese in it, pork, chipotle sauce and more. We had sides of cornbread, as well. The tri tip was nice and smoky, and very lean so it was definitely a healthy choice. We also ordered the "large" 4 piece fried chicken, which came with 2 small breast/wing pieces, a thigh and a leg. I loved the smokey flavor of the chicken and the crispiness of the skin, but the breast pieces were a little dry. The corn bread and the tots were perfect. Today we had the beef brisket and BBQ chicken, along with potato salad, fries, BBQ beans, mac and cheese, a brisket quesadilla, and they even hooked us up with some cornbread. It was way more food than I had room for, but every bite was worth it. They're always on point, and beyond the food, the customer service is consistently great. My husband and I moved to the area nearly a year ago but only just tried Britt's BBQ in October 2023. The restaurant is small and unassuming, located on the main strip of downtown El Segundo. It's very easy to get street parking nearby. We came in on a Thursday night around 5:30 - 6 pm. There is not a lot of seating inside the restaurant, and there were some people inside already eating. We ordered and paid first at the counter before being seated. The staff were friendly and prompt. We didn't wait very long before receiving our food. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich with two sides. I had the one-meat combo. Both of our dishes were excellent and full of flavor. The servings were generous and we both had leftovers to take home. This is probably the best American BBQ place that I've tried in Los Angeles and I definitely plan to return. read more

Found this spot randomly on Yelp while I was in the area. Pretty small place with 6-7 tables and with excellent customer service. I decided to order a 4-item combo for me and my wife. The portion was huge and could have fed like 4-5 people. The St. Louis ribs, which I tried a lot of, were just okay, as they were hard to bite on, with the outer layer feeling too chewy and over-smoked to dry. The lean brisket was just okay and not on the tender side either. The STARS OF THE SHOW, however, were the baby back ribs and tri-tip. Now those were incredibly delicious, tender, melt in your mouth kind of meats, which made it worth coming for. Another standout was their potato salad side, which was unbelievable. Probably the best potato salad I've ever had, with potatoes boiled to perfection and submerged, along with a few other flavorful ingredients, into their delicious sauce base to create the Champ of all potato salads. I only leave reviews when they need work. If the food is good then you're doing your job. But here's the deal with this spot. There are many places to chose from with that in mind. They priced their food like they were the only spot in town. There was no soul in the food. You leave there with a feeling that its just a job to the chef. I couldn't taste the pride in the food. I wanted to get the half rack but its $30 bucks. The full rack however was $39. So either your over charging me for a half rack or your over charging for a full rack. I can get huge BBQ dinners for $21 and the food at least has soul. Now if your BBQ is heavenly you can get away with that cause most people are gluttons for financial punishment. {Ribs ok, not enough, mac n cheese nope, pulled pork dryer than dry.} But if you're cutting corners on portions and over charging. Gas and time to drive there and then see $30 for kid size potions is quite a let down. Then the food is underwhelming. You may as well close the doors. Basically we felt like we got played $85 for two people. We left still hungry but hungry for real BBQ and Mac and Cheese. This was not that. A great local bbq restaurant on Main Street in El Segundo, I have been going here since I was in high school just up the street. The staff is extremely friendly and they have both indoor & outdoor seating. I strongly recommend getting a full rack of ribs. You get to pick two sides, and I went with the cornbread, which is covered in melted butter and has real corn inside, and the vegetarian bbq beans. The ribs have the perfect sauce-to-seasoning ratio, and they were well cooked. I had enough for leftovers, and I'll definitely return again soon. read more

I ordered two meat combo, rcvd one meat. Called to ask about it and a rude lady said impossible. She puts the chef on the phone bc she couldn't tell me herself???? I heard her in the background talking, saying oh now she's saying this and that. That is impossible. Actually, yes it's possible. We're all humans. Errors happen and it's not a big deal, I was asking - NOT COMPLAINING!! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to be eating pork. I told her, I heard you in the background talking, you don't have to be rude. Well, she was beyond rude at that point. Literally, confrontational. I'm glad I wasn't at the restaurant because I would have been scared of this lady. I ended up getting sick within 15 minutes. My partner within 4 hours. For a few days after that, my stomach had issues. So did his. I loved Britt's.
