Amazing BBQ spot in El Segundo downtown area! Once you arrive, you can order for dining at the counter or for pickup. You can also order online ahead of time as well. Ordered: 4-Meat Combo with 3 Sides St. Louis Ribs Beef Brisket Tri-Tip Smoked BBQ Chicken Served with 2 homemade sides - Mac and Cheese & Buttered Corn Corn Bread Potatoes Salad Coca Cola The portion size was perfect for family of 4. The meat was so tender, flavorful, and juicy. The sides were yummy and delicious, too. Friendly staff and great service. Ambiance is nice and clean. They have tables inside and outside. Parking - all street parking. It is nice they do catering for any events. Highly recommended! Will be back.

Food: 5/5 Ordered the habenaro chicken bowl. First off, this chicken was really spicy. The flavor was sweet, spicy, the chicken was cooked perfectly. The corn, was an awesome addition. The rice was great too! Perfect portion. Service: 5/5 Great staff, quick service, everyone is really nice! Ambiance: 3/5 A bit tight and parking isn't the easiest but definitely worth trying. Looking forward to coming back!

Super cute BBQ spot on Main St with an expansive menu of smoked bbq plates. Menus are on the wall, but more descriptive print menus are also available on the counter. Order at the counter and eat in or take out. Our server was very nice and attentive. We ordered the house salad to share with tri tip. The tri tip was nice and smoky, and very lean so it was definitely a healthy choice. We also ordered the "large" 4 piece fried chicken, which came with 2 small breast/wing pieces, a thigh and a leg. I loved the smokey flavor of the chicken and the crispiness of the skin, but the breast pieces were a little dry. The corn bread and the tots were perfect. We noticed more customers were going for the bbq plates and specialty bowls in addition to large catering orders so we'll change our strategy if we come back.

If you want some great bbq near the beach, this is the place to go. My favorite item on the menu is the pulled pork sandwich. Stop by, you won't regret it! That corn bread & Mac & cheese is delicious too.

One of the best BBQ on west coast . Britt's bowl is world class award winning bowls with gourmet meat and beans complimented with home made bread . Their southern style sweet ice tea is taste like straight from grandma's kitchen. Plenty of parking outside and restrooms clean. I wish though they had the music on but that's ok . Atmosphere was amazing a rustic and cozy interior. Overall highly recommended. Service took very long because there were only 2 employees available.

Honestly, this is one of the best smoke chicken I've had consistency is amazing. Always the same. Great food same great service chill ambience employees are courteous, and helpful. Prices are fair and the food is delicious. I want to gate keep this place every time I come here, but I want them to get all the business they deserve. Also, don't forget to tip the staff for the great energy and service.

Parking was easy, the ambiance is cute with the brick wall. The woman who took our order was very sweet. We got the 3 meat combo; bbq ribs, pulled pork, and tri tip along with the macaroni and the potato salad. They even threw in free corn bread. Everyone was delicious and it was at a great price too. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone.

Britt's BBQ has classic Southern comfort food. It's a small shop with friendly service. There's a parking lot in the back and metered spots in the area. For the food: The pork melt is decadent with cheese crusted Texas toast, mac & cheese and pulled pork. The tater tots are crispy and delicious.

Two meat combo with sides and 1/2 rack of baby back ribs corn bread and salad
    Ruben S.

Bought the 2 meat combo....brisket and BBQ chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and a side of BBQ beans..and a half rack of baby back ribs side salad and corn bread...food was on point...loved the chicken and ribs over the brisket..mashed potatoes were tasty no gravy available but not necessarily a bad thing...the beans have hint of spiciness that slightly kicks in...dipped a piece of the buttery corn bread into the beans and oh man that hint the spot..paid $63-$67 bucks..it was a lot of food..good deal easily would feed 3 people..food over all was good ...parking in the back...nice clean location...service was super good I initially tipped at the register dropping a few bucks into a plastic container but I left a second tip at the table cause the young man working there was super attentive and genuinely a good person even offered the availability of the restroom and brought out a box as he observed that we had three ribs left over...honesty food was crazy good ...im a big fan of Harris Ranch off the 5 freeway up in the central valley ..but im from los angeles and out at the beach in the el segundo area several times a week...definitely will stop by again

My husband and I moved to the area nearly a year ago but only just tried Britt's BBQ in October 2023. The restaurant is small and unassuming, located on the main strip of downtown El Segundo. It's very easy to get street parking nearby. We came in on a Thursday night around 5:30 - 6 pm. There is not a lot of seating inside the restaurant, and there were some people inside already eating. We ordered and paid first at the counter before being seated. The staff were friendly and prompt. We didn't wait very long before receiving our food. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich with two sides. I had the one-meat combo. Both of our dishes were excellent and full of flavor. The servings were generous and we both had leftovers to take home. This is probably the best American BBQ place that I've tried in Los Angeles and I definitely plan to return.

Awesome sides: potato salad, coleslaw and mac and cheese

    yes

Does this place actually smoke their meat? I've never smelt anything coming out of here. Update: I…

His espresso martini was so delicious! It was my first time trying one and it did not disappoint. My partner and I had the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the shrimp taquitos, while on the pricier side it is definitely worth it. The spicy tuna crispy rice was so rich in flavor, and the crispy rice truly was crispy. The shrimp taquitos were unlike anything i've tried before! I was expecting some classic taquitos filled with shrimp but this place really goes above and beyond with this dish. The shrimps were wrapped (as you can see in the photo) and it was so good!! I definitely plan on coming back if i'm ever in the area. The ambience of this place is beautiful too, we came during the day but I really want to see how it is at night. I would say this is a great spot for a date night with a partner or friends.

The day of the reservation, the host manager called to confirm that we wanted to share the news at dessert, and if there were any other accommodations we needed, which was very sweet. When we arrived at our table, they had a card signed by staff congratulating us, and it was a night to remember. Great food, great service, and the warm hand towels after my dad demolished the baby back ribs were the cherry on top! Our group also ordered the chilean sea bass, salmon, and bistro plate. 10/10. One of our final meals as a family of two was Valentine's Day 2026. It was our first time being seated indoors, and the ambiance was dim and romantic. The meatloaf special was fantastic! Fast forward to June 2026, and we brought our 3-month-old son to his first NIck's meal (unfortunately, he could not partake) and to celebrate my husband's first Father's Day. On this reservation, I put in a request for outdoor seating that gave us enough room to park our stroller and car seat, and they were able to accommodate that. They were also understanding when me and my husband were running a few minutes past our reservation time due to fhe baby, and we appreciated the flexibility. Noise level was moderate, but definitely quieter outside. If you get nothing else from this review, just remember this: ORDER THE WARM BUTTER CAKE. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT. Thanks for the consistent hospitality and great meals, Nick's!

The Strand House offers good food, goodservice, and amazing views and vibes at reasonable, but upscale prices. We came with my family for an early dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Off the lunch menu we had the Italian panini ($29), which was a surprisingly complex sandwich with mortadella, salami, onions, lettuce, fresh Marzano tomatoes, and many other vegetables. It was served with an exceptional set of fries, which had a great amount of garlic and the perfect blend of crisp on the outside and softness on the inside, along with tangy ketchup. The children got the pasta bolognese ($14), which was a standard bolognese, although the pasta was a little overcooked. We also got a child salmon ($21), a surprisingly generous piece of fish, well cooked with a somewhat crispy exterior and soft interior alongside broccolini and whipped mashed potatoes. The service was decent - our server collected our order, checked on us appropriately, and generally took care of us throughout our visit. As the pictures suggest, the interior is quite upscale, scattered across three floors with a view overlooking the main road and the beach itself. This led to an excellent, breezy atmosphere and spectacular views, perfect for a hot day. Prices are a little on the elevated side, but not excessive, given the highly popular location of this restaurant and excellent views. Overall, The Strand House offers an appropriately upscale lunch or dinner at an elevated price for the discerning customer looking for good food and excellent views with a price to match. We started with the ceviche in Clamato with pieces of crab and avocado served with a delicious tortilla chips. I absolutely loved the flavor profile and couldn't get enough of the Clamato sauce. I'm usually indifferent at best to sea urchin, but this was excellent Then we shared the Jonah Crab Fusilli, another winner. I was driving, but hubby ordered a banhattan and it was another winner. Definitely suited our sensibilities to be close to the heart of this treasure, plus it can get cold out there! When our friendly and helpful server learned that we'd never been to FwD before, we were both treated a tasty amuse, a Peruvian scallop, one of their specialties. Served chilled, absolute heaven. Simple, fresh, delicious, and very pretty atop its shell. We ordered an appetizer, a different scallop dish, Pan Seared Diver Scallops. (Parsnip-potato puree, brown butter ponzu, capers). So good. Succulent, perfectly cooked and devilishly satisfying with its rich, savory flavor. We enjoyed the one dish that have been on their menu since the beginning, Koshihikari Rice. (short-grain Japanese rice, overnight chicken dashi, shrimp, uni, blue crab, cage-free egg yolk.) Wow. So much happening here, and yet it's a complete package. All the ingredients meld together sumptuously. It akin to Paella, or perhaps to a stuffed Risotto, although the Koshihikari Rice was very much its own dish. The server swerved and mixed the egg yolk on our plate, and we loved it. Our strategy to try a number of dishes and yet still have room for dessert worked. Many great choices, and I doubt we'd be disappointed with anything. However, we had heard from the table next to use that the key-lime pie was must. Happily, they were right. This Key Lime Pie is just sweet and just tart enough. Though I am not Key Lime Pie expert, this one struck me as imaginative with its meringue colony crowding the pie's surface for additional dessert debauchery. There nothing overwhelmingly citrusy about it, and it was light enough to help you feel satisfied and just right. The coffee was good, too. This is a low-key yet lovely dining experience in Manhattan Beach.

And that much is true, I went in 2023 because I wrote a Yelp then for that experience. And I continue to believe it is a "solid choice." I can see how it can lend itself, and be enjoyable, to many eaters. And how its beach adjacent location draws many sandal wearers and surfers gone business casual for the night. So I will begin my focusing on what I thought was our servers faux pa. My friend Conrad and I hang out on spin mode, with the cycle never really stopping. So we kind of have an implicit expectation that sometime during our time together we will break bread. But on this ocassion, I had already eaten and he had not. This does not mean that his hunger would be true until we parted ways. We could eat together, even if I was not eating. We were by the joint so we decided to eat there because I wanted to share with him what I have found to be consistently solid and pleasant. While we were there we got a table for two. We informed our server that only Conrad would be eating, since I had already. And he gave a look. Yes, a look that I interpreted as a mix of confusion and judgement- which together makes out of place bewilderment. Why? I can totally see a pair of folks being too embarrassed to go into a restaurant, especially, a nice place like Manhattan Beach Post if only one was eating. Again, I can understand that easily. I mean people are shy and unwilling to insert themselves in situations that are non standard. But then there is other people. The people who wear PJs to the store, who rock hair of a purple shade, and well, others have grown so old that eating with a friend while they are not eating, is not embarrasing, rather just the steps of an unplanned evening. To be more specific, I think the server should have saved his "not even a drink" and proceeding confused face to himself. Conrad and I had valid reasons for entering and not dining as a duo and he should have responded with undersstanding, not just like I had said I was so hungry I could eat bigfoot raw. In short contrast, I offer the host of the place, Crystal. While eating with Conrad I did taste just a wee bit of his four cheese ear shaped pasta- Orichette- and his biscuit. The biscuit is strong but with the maple butter it sings hard, give this buttered biscuit a stage at Madison Square garden or that famous opera house in Sydney. The Orichette was also super good but one of the cheeses had like this chalky taste. It did not taste bad, but also not good, which made me engage with the dish at an analytical way. And personally, when food makes me think, I love it. Crystal heard a version of this dialogue and engaged with me saying that she feels the same way because it makes her feel like a food critic. She also asked me to go when I was hungry. Service like hers makes a place shine. Service like the server gave us makes me question why there was no guard at the door ensuring that both of us had an appetitte. The decor of the place is one that I have seen in the recent the weeks---- brown with live plants. It is lovely. It is both muted and alive. This place has been around for years and will survive my review. And I do plan to go again. And I will make sure to be hungry. I am not sure if I can guarantee that for the person I take but I will try my best.
