I have always loved their food but today the rice had a mushy texture. The food (cashew chicken and broccoli chicken lunches) were very tasty. The veggie Egg rolls were a little salty. Every restaurant can have an off day. Would recommend them and they are reasonably priced. The boys are very friendly and helpful.

This is my first time trying this place. I ordered online for pickup. They are a takeout-only restaurant. No dining in. Everything is made to order, so be prepared to wait. I suggest calling in or online. I ordered the Combination Chow Fun with Shrimp, Chicken, and Beef and General Tao 3 Meat (Chicken, Pork, and Beef). Combination Chow Fun: The portion size was very generous. Fresh and still hot when I got home. It was too salty, I couldn't even tolerate it after a couple of mouthfuls. Tried to add Sriracha, but did not help. General Tao: Too sweet and too much breading. What a waste of my hard-earned money. So many other worthy restaurants in the

The hubster wanted shrimp fried rice and I was determined to find a place where it was sold fresh and not sitting in warmers all day. I searched and searched and found this place . The reviews were pretty good so I thought I would try. Upon arrival, I was like what the heck, heck nawl. It just did not look the best, I saw an A in the window so I was like ok. When I walked in I immediately noticed a whole ass bike and a scooter, kids were riding in the establishment, I was like ok, I will still try , uncovered noodles on the table. The place was sectioned off so you could not sit down but it was still a bit uncomfortable, I was like ok, I will order. I ordered combination fried rice, egg foo young, kung pao chicken, and chow mein. The food was EXCELLENT, served to perfection, seasoned very well. Everything was good. This was definitely don't judge a book by its cover.

Ever heard of "dry aged bbq duck"? Well...........me neither As a Chinese American who had great to average duck before, what i got served today was.............dry aged, to put it politely. I ordered a "House Special Crispy Duck" with fried rice. The duck is obviously left-over re-heated. The fried rice? has that smoky and burnt flavor. How do i know? When you reheat duck, the fat will have this rainbow color reflection when you shine it under the light. You maybe able to fool American, but not this Chinese guy who lived in China for 15 years. I know you are a small restaurant and i dont like to leave negative review. But come on now. It will be Lunar New Year Soon. So 恭喜发财

Food was good but kids took our order and it wasn't correct. Still liked it even though we received 2 fried rice dishes instead of 1.

If you're in the mood for Chinese, look no further. Lucky China is your restaurant of choice!!!…read more I've been eating here for over 20 years, and they have not once failed. I was reluctant to leave this post in hopes of keeping it a secret, but it's time to share this treasure. The same family from the 70's owns this restaurant which is now in their second generation of family owners, their children. Their cooking tastes like it's always tasted, extraordinary. No other ethnicities are in the kitchen cooking. To me, that says a lot about the continuity and quality of food. Trust me, this is not Panda Express with high school kids.... lol. This restaurant is authentic. Food: 5/5... my favorite is their Mongolian beef, peppered pork chops, and orange chicken. They are the best I've tasted (and I love eating Chinese). They have an old school menu with plenty to choose from, nothing disappoints. All is good. Service: 4/5... there are time where things get busy, this may cause some delays. But for the most part, food comes out hot and their family servers are working both kitchen and service. Price: 4/5.... They offer a family dinner special that serves 4 people.. two dishes, fried rice, chow mein, eggrolls, wonton soup, and fried wontonsz. A lot of quality food, for an amazing price. Rest of menu is decently priced. Food 5/5: here it is, the best in the South Bay. Hands down. Pick anything on the menu.. I'd say orange chicken, pepper fried pork chops, or Mongolia. However their sleeper dish is the "three meats king pao". All fire. Ambiance 3/5: No frills, or fluffs... basic Chinese restaurant seating. Nothing special with the ambiance... it's the food that counts. You won't be disappointed.

It's not the glitz and glamour type of restaurant it's the kind of spot that instantly brings you back to childhood with the smells, the sounds, and that familiar mom-and-pop energy. You walk in and it just feels like home. The food is the real reason you come here, and it absolutely delivers. The salt & pepper shrimp was the standout for me crispy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and honestly so good it feels like it's in its own world. It has that nostalgic taste that hits in a way newer restaurants can't recreate. Nothing about Lucky China feels mass-produced or corporate. You can tell it's run with heart, history, and pride. It's the kind of place you keep in your rotation not because it's trendy, but because it makes you feel taken care of. If you're looking for a true mom-and-pop experience with amazing food and that old-school charm, Lucky China is it. I'd absolutely recommend it.

If you've ever had popcorn chicken from a good boba shop, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. Highly recommend checking out this local gem!!!

We asked for not spicy and there was only a hint of white pepper. The only negative was the presentation. It is served in a large paper cone. That's fine if you're eating and walking with it. But at a table, the cone was so tall that you have to stand up to see the chicken inside. And you have to rotate the cone if you're sharing since one side of the cone is taller than the other. The stinky tofu was serviceable but it could have been stinkier. The beef noodle soup was okay. The beef was very tender and the soup was good. But it's not as flavorful as the ones at Sue's Kitchen up the street. The only miss for me was the Dan Dan noodles. I was warned it was spicy but it was a bit spicier than I anticipated. That's ok but the sauce had a weird sour taste to it that was kind of off putting. The service is very attentive. I wish they served boba drinks. Overall we will definitely be back. I can't wait until they open their new branch up in Palos Verdes later this year.

There was eight of us, and we ordered a lot of dishes to share. I'm gonna break them down, but I have to say that nothing we had was not top quality. I haven't had food like this in years. First was the Kung pow chicken. Wow, it was just a perfect blend of spice and the chicken was perfect. No gristle. And that is the theme of this entire meal. I hate gristle, this Kung pow was sublime. Sweet-and-sour pork. I basically given up on this dish because no one gets it right, and it's always an excuse to hide gristle and fat. Not in this case. It was super tasty and for the first time I can remember there wasn't 1 ounce of gristle in this meat. It was just crispy tasty wonderful. Hong Kong style chow mein with pork. Another dish I haven't had in years, and this place nailed it. Reminded me of my old China house restaurant in Alameda. I mean it was really good. The pork was awesome, the gravy was perfect. What a great dish. The fried rice was excellent. Not greasy at all. I believe we got a combination fried rice and man was it good. Shrimp with lobster sauce. This was excellent, God this dinner was just so great, and this dish was right in there with the rest of them. I can't wait to go visit family again so I can eat at this place. It was spectacular. Oh and the last thing, the hot and sour soup was amazing. Again haven't had this type of food since I left the Bay Area. I give this meal a triple wow!!!

We ordered the xiao long bao, broccoli beef, beef rolls, and chicken chow mein. The xiao long bao was excellent with a good amount of soup in each dumpling, and the beef rolls were probably my favorite item, especially dipped in a mix of black vinegar and soy sauce. The broccoli beef had a nice flavor, though I wished it had a little more meat. The chicken chow mein was the weakest dish for me: the noodle texture was great, but the overall flavor didn't stand out as much as I expected. Ordering was easy and the menu was very approachable thanks to the pictures. The restaurant is on the smaller side, which actually made it easier to get a server's attention when needed. Food also came out pretty quickly. The ambiance is straightforward and comfortable -- nothing fancy, just a solid neighborhood restaurant. Because it's small, you may have to wait if it gets busy, but tables seemed to turn over quickly thanks to the fast service. One practical tip: the portion sizes are bigger than they look.
