My favorite pho place in Long Beach. Not just for the delicious food, but for the exceptional service. The pho broth is always so flavorful and they don't slack on the protein and veggies. Great Customer Service! Loved the Family hole in the wall Pho Place! Parking is decent, there's a nice parking space right next to their restaurant! Pho is decently sized, the prices are just right! The broth was delicious. Spring rolls are a bit under the smaller size though, wish they were big as the ones I can get at other Vietnamese places as well. I paid approximately $10 bucks for all this though. I think that was a grab. The owner also gave us some banana's that we've never tried before. I ran to yelp to make this review!! New Pho is a must try if you live in Long Beach or if you are ever in the area. It definitely is a whole in the wall type spot but it did not disappoint. The owner thanked us for coming in before we even sat down and the service was impeccable the entirety of our visit. The thai tea was bomb and the pho broth was rich and flavorful. I was driving-by this little restaurant and decided to give it a try. OMG this restaurant, New Phở puts out some ready good food, and at modest prices! I had the grilled pork bún/vermicelli, the fresh spring rolls and the grilled chicken and rice. Enough food for 4 meals! And everything so fresh. The broth is hearty and flavorful and their meats are so tender. The hot soup wakes me up better than coffee. The staff is super friendly and the prices are reasonable! Most pho is priced between $6.80 and $7.50. They have a wide variety of other dishes which I can't wait to try! Came upon this place by accident. Looking for a pho spot and this one was the only one still open in the area on a Saturday evening. Ordered ToGo. I always ask for extra jalapeños, basil, and limes for my Pho Tai. Some places get stingy when it comes to that stuff. This place didn't. They loaded me up!! The BROTH!! My wife & I see Vietnamese. We've eaten in Little Saigon and know intimately Viet cuisine. We ordered Pho, bun thit nuong (rice vermicelli with grilled pork), & 2 Vietnamese ice coffee. The Pho had a cloudy broth, as if it had been reused, and lacked flavor. My vermicelli dish had red dye #5 Chinese BBQ pork (char siu) instead of grilled Viet pork, was too sweet, and somehow tasted off. Our coffee lacked depth and flavor. To excel in food is one thing, but the customer service here is PHO-REAL so good!!! Their Food: Delicious. I've ordered their seafood pho, rare-steak pho, and combo pho and none of them have ever disappointed. Apart from their pho, their spring rolls are equally as delicious and their peanut sauce is one the best I've tried (it is a little one the sweeter side than normal, so I will say that). COVID: Like most locations, indoor dining is still closed but they now have outdoor seating! Masks are worn at all times by employees and the service is QUICK. I wonder why other places cannot do that... The place is far from fancy so but it is clean so just come for food but expect nothing else. They do have a private parking lot by the side of the restaurant. Like other Yelpers mentioned, your food comes quickly and the service is friendly. My only complain is that you sometimes see a fly is flying around because their back door is always open I guess. But other thatched New Pho offers solid Vietnamese food. It was a Wednesday afternoon and I was craving pho. My usual spot is closed on Wednesdays, so I had to improvise and look for another spot. I've had pho at several spots along Anaheim over the years, but I can never keep them straight and I have to look them up all the time. I found New Pho and I figured I'd give them a try for to-go pho. It was delicious and was just about as good, if not as good as my usual spot. It was so good that once again I found myself craving pho and it was a Wednesday (what's with Wednesdays??) so I picked up and order for me and my husband. We were so happy! The broth was aromatic and delicious. I definitely recommend! The owners are so genuinely kind and sweet. Both times they made me feel so welcome even if I was just there a few minutes to pick up food. Yesterday I went and they had tables set up in the parking lot with canopies and coverings for privacy. So my hubby and I are pretty huge Pho fans but we only stick to a couple places. Unfortunately the quality and /or the quantity of our regular spots have been lacking, so I wanted to try something new. The restaurant was empty but it is Black Friday and raining but it's a quaint little spot. So we order what we normally get at our other spots, 2 Pho's (he got the #1 and I got the #6...regretting that I didn't get the #1) and some Spring rolls. The spring rolls aren't as thick as I'm used to but they were really good. The shrimp wasn't fishy (which can be a problem) and a perfect amount of veggies. Their peanut sauce is sweeter than other spots but it was very good. I just tried to get a bit more peanuts when I dipped. Note - my husband is super picky about peanut sauce and he really liked it. Of all the places that serve peanut sauce in LB he likes about 3. In addition, the woman who helped us was very sweet and gave us chips and guava to snack on. Bonus!!!! The Pho was super yummy! Very flavorful even before we added our extras. Also, they are not stingy on the meat at all. Very generous. My husband , that wasn't hungry, ate more than I did and was so glad I picked this spot. No amount of lime or sriracha could combat the sugary ness of the soup. Very disappointed. Based on the other positive reviews, maybe this was just a bad batch? But if so, do they not taste their soup batch and verify it's ok to serve? My husband and I ate the noodles and left almost all the soup. Definitely not healthy to drink. My husband also got an iced coffee which was also too sweet. So maybe that's just how they like it? Also low stars for the cleanliness of the place and the area was a bit dodgy. Their pho was not clean, the meat was bland (nearly gagged), I'm pretty sure the lady gave me old lemon slices, it was awful. The soup smelled/tasted very sour--not exactly the best adjectives for pho. The broth, also bland and discolored. I asked for a refund, especially since I had hardly touched it. The lady kept saying that other people order their food and there is never a problem--which is dumb argument.; and she kept insisting that I shouldn't get a refund because I intentionally ordered the food and ate some. HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DETERMINE THE QUALITY OF FOOS BEING GOOD OR BAD WITHOUT EATING SOME? If I ate half the bowl, and then asked for a refund, that'd be one thing, but I barely touched it.
