Loved this place! My brother was visiting for the holidays and always was a big fan of Mongolian Bbq style. Did some searching and found this place, and this place did not disappoint! The restaurant layout was perfect and accommodated my huge family comfortably. There is no limit on the buffet other than 2 bowls at a time and no take out for left overs. They have all the good topping options! Lots of great fresh veggies, tofu, noodles, and then the meats are thinly sliced and frozen which is typical for mongolian bbq. Lots of great sauce options! Also included is fresh steam rice and soft served ice cream. For adults it's $23.99 and kids $11.99, which is not bad at all especially if you can eat more than one plate. You bring up your raw food and the guy at the end puts it on a big round grill and cooks it up for you. My son complains he puts all the sauces on and the cook waters it all down when he pours his pitcher of water over it while cooking because the sauces are already watered down and the flavor isn't strong enough. It's fully shaded with a light breeze, and some guy playing piano (probably only on Friday evenings) making for a nice ambiance. Food is all picked yourself using one or two bowls and then mixed and cooked by their chef on the stove. You can go back all you want, and they have an ice cream machine with cones for dessert. Most of the food was decent, a couple ingredients were questionable on their quality/freshness like the pineapple. I added 4 times the sauce amount and it didn't give a flavor other than bland noodles and since the cook wouldn't add the teriyaki sauce like I requested, it was even more bland. The chicken had a lot of bones in it. I stopped eating it cause it was every bite towards the end. If you charge 16.99 a bowl for lunch and 18.99 a bowl for dinner then the least I expect is some kindness and good customer service. I don't recommend and won't be back. The only con is at lunch rush the line gets a bit long since there's only one person cooking your food. However, feeling stuffed isn't necessarily indicative of the best experience! Although the lines moved quickly, certain resources seemed to take some time to be replenished. Of biggest concern was the meat. Yes, they never were empty. However, there were significant periods of time when most of the meat basically looked like raw ground beef! The proper slices weren't there for some people. I lucked out due to a combination of my place in line and when they decided to refill, but some of my friends did not fare so well. Some other notes: - One way to make the dish a bit more low-carb is by using bean sprouts instead of noodles. I picked this one up from another reviewer here; it's seldom mentioned and to date, this is the second review that mentions this! - Watch out for the spicy sauce, because the heat adds up quickly and can slow one down from finishing the meal. - I felt like the finished product was a bit blander than expected...perhaps they were using a bit too much water during cooking. I know some reviews mentioned this in the past and it's possible they still do that. In anticipation of that I put on more sauce than the guidelines suggested, but it still wasn't that flavorful. - The ice cream here is great! They constantly ensure the ice cream machine is ready for serving. Unlike McDs, the machine isn't broken. I and my friends each got a few servings of this after the main BBQ. I've never eaten at any Asian place that does not have green onion... that's a staple. Only one guy was working and the line was long. The noodles were abnormally thick so they were rather chewy. I do feel my review echoes the other reviewers on the flavor; it's almost non existent despite the plate being so colorful. Food coloring maybe?
