Very fresh sushi. The portions on the sushi appetizer were well worth the price! Flavors great! Nice staff. During the grand opening complimentary miso soup and salad prefaced the meal. I'll be back! A lot of floor space could benefit with some decor such as a sakura tree or fountain even.

I had such an amazing time and meal here with my friends who also agree! The server and chefs were all so nice. They took the time to give recommendations, explain the potato menu history, and were on top of refilling our waters! We got the spicy jalapeño poppers, sushi tacos, rolls, crispy rice pucks, potato noodle soup, miso soup, salad, and strawberry ice cream. Everything was tasty and large portions. The only thing to note is that the sushi tacos are in a soft potato shell instead of your traditional crispy seaweed shell. There is plenty of seating inside and nice decor all around. We will all be coming back!

New to the Cascades, Lowe's Island, Sterling and Dulles Town Center area, we're blown away by the…read moresurfeit of excellent restaurants across a wide variety of cuisines, concepts and price points. Chiko is no exception. A Korean-Chinese fusion concept with bright yellow and black decor, a friendly and responsive wait staff and a unique menu that won't be found elsewhere, we're working our way through the variety of bowls, dumplings and entrees that all combine multiple sweet, sour, and spicy elements as a foundation for the dishes. We knew nothing about Korean food, moving here from Colorado where everything was with steak or burgers. (I'm exaggerating a bit). The diverse population of the area is clearly reflected in the number and variety of restaurants. If you're not familiar with Korean food this is a good place to start at reasonable prices. They have a liquor license we. Parking is ample.

I've been here twice now and tried to come last week. The website has said they opened at 11 but…read morethe doors were locked. Apparently they opened now at 12 and I checked today - the website was updated. So they lose a star for poor advertising. I went to a place next door and had a great experience. Ok - for Chiko. I'm impressed that a venue like this exists in Sterling which has void of good Asian food. Food (5/5): I've had several sides and entrees- Appetizers: Radish was great Avocado salad is a hit and it's really large. Entrees: Spicy bulgogi stir fry - are my favorite. The chewy rice cakes are my favorite! Lamb noodles are good if you're a fan of lamb (I'm not) Smashed salmon - salmon was a bit overcooked. Jjanangmyeon - the noodles were a bit too saucy. The cook made the noodles spicy. Service (4/5): Good. Sometimes has a hard time getting our server. Ambiance (3/5): It's a sterile cafeteria type place. The chairs are not too comfortable.

Wonderful experience! We were in the area and feeling something familiar. Yelp suggested this gem…read moreand off we went! The restaurant is located in a golf course clubhouse which was a surprise as the golf clientele didn't seem to match but we were wonderfully surprised to see brisk business as we enjoyed our breakfast. The breakfast Ube burger bun was fluffy Ube pancake, which would be awesome just on its own as a stack. I usually have them with coconut syrup so hint hint egg karne! My wife had the breakfast bowl with longanisa which she also enjoyed. She doesn't like atchara but I ate it up and can say that it's not as vinegar-y as traditional but probably for the best as it would have probably overpowered everything else. Only disappointment was the spam fries. It needed a complement of garlic fried rice and it would have been perfect lol.

Initially it was a bit awkward to get to since the parking lot seemed mostly to be full of golfers…read morebut there is an Egg Karne sign outside. Once opening the door, you just head to the right side to the grill. Since we visited on a weekday and fairly early, before the lunch rush, it was not crowded at all so we got to sit underneath the neat mason jar chandelier with a prime view of the driving range. I was super excited to try the ube waffles since I'm a fan of most ube flavored things. My husband got the more traditional silog bowl which I ended up liking more since I'm actually not big on breakfast food. The spam fries had a cute presentation with the canister but were extremely salty. Water and condiments were self serve. I noticed there were booster seats and high chairs in the corner so you could bring the kiddos. Restrooms were also off to the side and had cute birdie themed decorations courtesy of the Herndon Ladies Golf League.
