Came in for dinner on a Sunday evening and there was plenty of seating & even WiFi available. The staff are all very nice & friendly! My bf & I weren't very hungry so we ordered the Sushi Deluxe combo with salmon roll to share. The pieces of nigiri are big & if you're not hungry or don't eat much, sharing the combo is great for two people. Ours came with salmon, tuna, eel, shrimp and then some other fish I'm not sure of. I'm a salmon lover so I liked the salmon best. We didn't realize our combo came with a miso soup and salad until they brought it out but it was more than enough food. Everyone else was a little more hungry and got their own combos and it was definitely enough food & everyone enjoyed. Overall a nice neighborhood spot!

This is one of the many sushi places next to my office. I got what I thought was a tiny combo but was pleasantly surprised to pick this up instead!! It was ready in 15 minutes and the staff at the front had everything really well-packaged. Sushi tasted very fresh, none of that overly fishy smell. Will definitely be a go-to spot for work lunch :-)

I had never heard of Sushi Kabuki until Yelp sent a list of nearby restaurants urging me to try them. Since Sushi Kabuki was a straight shot down the road and had great Yelp reviews, we decided to give it a try after reviewing their menu online. We were here on a Saturday shortly after they opened for dinner. We were greeted and told to pick where we wanted to sit. We noticed a booth in a corner by the window, which was sort of secluded. For drinks, I had a mug of hot green tea while my husband had a Coors Lite. We were pleased to see that they serve both miso soup and salad with their entrees. So many places now only serve one or the other. I chose to try their "Dinner Box" which consists of: "one main dish of your choice - chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, bulgogi, yummy chicken, or chicken katsu. dinner box served with shrimp and vegetable tempura, harumaki, gyoza, and California roll." I chose to have chicken katsu (all their chicken items are white meat). The food, for the most part, was very well prepared. We never had harumaki, which we discovered, were Japanese egg rolls stuffed with veggies. The gyoza also had a veggie filling. The tempura portion was quite generous -- a good assortment of veggies and two large shrimp. The only drawback was that the chicken katsu was on the dried-out side. It comes with a plum sauce. We both tried it and thought it overpowered the chicken. Otherwise, the tempura dipping sauce and the dipping sauce for the harumaki and gyoza were well prepared. My husband had the "Tekka Don." His dish consisted of 12 slices of tuna sashimi and a large amount of sushi rice. He thought the quality of the tuna was excellent. Plus, his dish was attractively presented. We both agreed that the miso soup, which was served piping hot, and the salad, which had been chilled were both quite good. Portions of both were larger than those typically found in other Japanese restaurants. The ambiance was of a well-decorated place with mellow background music. One thing to keep in mind is that they have a sign outside stating that one can watch sports while dining there. We did notice the TV at the bar. If a game is being broadcast, it can get noisy. We were both quite full when we left: portion sizes were quite large. My husband willingly shared my dinner box with me, as it had a very generous amount of food. And, yes, we will go again. Service was impeccable.

Came here with a lot of friends and the food was really good. I enjoyed the yummy chicken, I will say I got some basic rolls so I'll need to go back and try more but everybody loved their food. Service and ambiance were good, slight wait time for the check.

Heard that they opened so we stopped in for dinner What we ordered * Larry's Roll - Spicy Tuna Roll With Tuna, Thin-Sliced Lemon, Smelt Roe And Scallion With Kabuki Sauce On Top * Devil Ray Roll - Eel, Avocado, Cream Cheese With Eel Sauce * squid sushi * seaweed salad * Tako wasabi The fish was super fresh and service very attentive. Enjoyed everything. The octopus was a nice treat as it's a raw preparation in a lovely wasabi sauce. Will be fun to explore other options.

All delicious: sushi, sashimi, udon, tempura, yummy chicken, and bulgogi. Friendly, very polite service. Lively, but not too loud for conversation. Their sushi was a highlight of our recent party. Sushi Kabuki is our new favorite.

I finally branched out of my go-to and tried Sushi Kabuki for carry out. I've now ordered from them twice and this is definitely a 5 star and possibly my new favorite. The miso soup and seaweed salad were the best I've had in the DMV. I didn't eat immediately and the seaweed salad stayed crisp instead of pooling juice, which is my typical experience with carry out. Sashimi was fresh with big portions and pretty presentation even for carry out. The lollipop roll was a fun healthy option and was packed with fish. Everything was packaged well (no leaky soup from the drive home!). My only (minor) complaint is that they gave only packets of low sodium soy sauce (though conveniently packaged in condiment cups). I prefer normal sodium and find the packets messy to deal with. Parking is easy because it's in a shopping complex and orders were ready at predicted pickup time (30 min during peak dinner time on a Friday). Highly recommend!

One of the best sushi spots I've been to- friendly, quick service, great portions, amazing flavors/variety, and decently priced. Went on a Tuesday night and it wasn't crowded but still a few tables filled. Bar, table and outdoor seating. We ordered edamame, seaweed salad and shrimp tempura for apps and all were great. Fresh and bright seaweed salad, warm and salted edamame and super hot and crunchy shrimp tempura. We ordered a variety of rolls and they were all amazing. They don't put too much rice which I appreciate, but they load on the fish and pack in the flavor. The Dynamite Roll is a MUST. Definitely on my go-list!

I went here today for the second time for lunch in 2 months, and the experience this time was just as good as the first! Pictures from both times to show the consistency in the portions and quality of the fish. Everything was very fresh and the service is great. The miso soup is always steaming hot as well (you get the choice of that or a salad with this meal on the lunch special and for the roll, you can have a spicy tuna or cali). For reference, this is the kabuki combination lunch meal for $20. I've sat at the sushi bar, but I've seen the staff interact with tables and service is great for both.

I've lived around this area all my life and never really expected a sushi place to pop up on Fox Mill shopping center, so I was naturally skeptical. I have also been to "top tier" sushi places like Nobu across the country and lived in Denver for years, which gets high quality fish flown in as a distribution hub for the middle of the US. Sushi Kabuki can absolutely stand up with top notch spots. The prices are really fair, the quality of the sushi is great, the presentation is great, and the staff are such sweet people. Can't recommend it enough.

We ultimately enjoyed our meal and will likely try it again the next time we need a change of pace from our go-to spot. The menu possesses a vast array of rolls, the majority of which hover between $15-18. Seeing the prices of the rolls and not knowing what to expect, we ended up ordering six, which ended up as too much food for the two of us. We found the rolls all well constructed and with generous quantities of the fish. The rice itself was passable. The sliced fish quality was decent, and we found the salmon and tuna particularly fresh. The "spicy" fish in the rolls left something to be desired in both the degree of spice/seasoning as well as freshness. The rolls all could have used a bit more saucing, but we enjoyed them nonetheless. The prices here are very reasonable, especially if you order online which yields a 10% discount. My order was prepared more or less on time. Overall, we liked what we sampled and will return in the near future to sample more rolls.
