Sushi Ohayo is an excellent option. Unlike typical all-you-can-eat sushi places where you have to get up and grab pre-made items, here you simply order the types of sushi you want, and they prepare them fresh for you. Because of that, there's no need to rush or compete to grab food, and everything is consistently fresh. This doesn't apply only to sushi--items like edamame and shrimp tempura are also made to order. The sushi here is also much more diverse and noticeably fresher than what you'd find at a typical Chinese buffet. I really hope they continue operating this way. For that to happen, they'll need to keep a steady flow of customers, and so far, it's always been busy whenever I visit. This is a very nice and quiet place to eat during the day. They have an extensive menu and your food is made fresh. We were served quickly and our drinks were kept refilled. All your food, except for your ice cream, is served to you at your table. The beef has an excellent flavor. We ate there during the noon hour, so I'm not familiar with their nighttime activities. Amazing place to get your money's worth! Continuation of the date day we Wrapped it up with a trip for sushi. I got to try all the sushi I wanted (dont be wasteful, there is a charge if you over do). Our server was super nice and helpful explaining the process. We got the combination hibachi (beef, chicken, veggies and fried rice), then got sushi (spicy shrimp roll, spicy tuna roll, dynamite roll, Richmond roll, California roll, amd a dragon roll-- prepared and served in a wooden boat! I didn't realize that my favorite Loudoun Sushi AYCE had competition in Chantilly. We read food reviews so we had to visit. Pricing is $26.99 for both lunch and dinner. The place is bright and spacious. This is a plus since our usual haunt is dark. Service was great. We weee the only ones in the restaurant... because we arrived at opening lunch. The food is comparable with my favorite Sterling restaurant. I'd say the beef was a tad more lean. The food here is cooked fresh. The dumplings came out hot. They might have been a tad more greasy. For it being all you can eat the sushi is extremely fresh and good quality especially compared to other local sushi shops - and the food is made to order. The fish was clean and flavorful, and nothing tasted like it had been sitting out. Caught up with friends over an AYCE dinner at Sushi Ohayo, and while I didn't snap any photos, the food definitely delivered. I started with a miso soup and a seaweed salad, followed by a sea angel roll, a salmon roll, and two pieces of tuna sushi. Could I have eaten more? Probably--but I tried to exercise a little self-control. The highlight for me was the tuna sushi--generous cuts of fresh tuna over well-prepared rice. The sea angel roll was also filling and flavorful. My only gripe? The salmon roll was tiny. I get that classic rolls tend to be on the smaller side, but this one barely had any salmon in it, which was a bit disappointing. I don't like to write poor reviews but this needs to be addressed. We went out for dinner over the weekend., It was quite slow for a weekend, as we saw that there weren't many tables occupied. We were seated right away. The female server approached us and inquired if we wanted any drinks to start. She seemed very displeased and struggled to taking our orders. This became more evident when she asked us to repeat our order twice each time we added something, and she even attempted to argue that my husband's drink was Coke Zero. To provide some context, it was in a clear plastic cup, making it obvious that whatever was inside was too transparent to definitively identify as Coke, Diet Coke, or Coke Zero. However, she insisted it was Coke Zero. Eventually, she took it back and brought him the correct drink, but honestly, it was already a red flag for me. I usually don't pay much attention to a server's demeanor, but it was quite disappointing when she kept slamming our drinks on the table every time she refilled them. It was obvious that she was not wanting to serve us, as reflected in her dismissive attitude. Interestingly, she became more friendlier when it was time to give us with the check. We were in search of a AYCE sushi restaurant that isn't a "buffet", meaning we prefer the sushi being prepared to order as opposed to grabbing it off a tray and Sushi Ohayo fits the bill. This is not a knock but you have a certain lowered expectation when it comes to AYCE quality. With that being said, the food exceeds my expectations and is rather delightful. Everything tasted very fresh and good quality. The sushi rolls have a great fish to rice ratio, you're not overwhelmed by a thick ring of rice, it has a great mouth feel when the ingredients are well balanced. We ordered cold and hot appetizers to get the ball rolling, shortly after we placed our sushi order and the sushi arrived before our hot appetizers. Very quick sushi preparation. The server was very nice and attentive. She kept our table cleared of empty plates, it never got cluttered. Ordered beef hibachi, the beef was a little tough but was very well seasoned and well executed, with a nice sear and a pleasant smokey flavor. We also ordered a beef yakisoba and the same applied to flavor and seasoning. The decor is simple yet cute, there's only one TV towards the entrance of the restaurant but you're not really going there to enjoy a game. Although you could ask for a table near the TV and enjoy some beer, which they do offer. After seeing an article in Fairfax News about a Sushi Ohayo opening soon in McLean, we decided to try out the Sushi Ohayo location in Lorton. The concept sounded good, all you can eat (AYCE) with full table service. At this time the AYCE is $25.99, excluding sashimi. For AYCE with sashimi, the price is $31.99/ person. We really like Sushi Ohayo. All our dishes were very well prepared, much better than you would expect from an AYCE establishment. They have several hard-working chefs at the sushi bar. Service was excellent and responsive. We loved the warmth of our server with her broad smile. The dishes I especially liked were the delicate and delicious Crab Rangoon and both the shrimp and steak hibachis. In addition to the meat, the hibachi dishes came with an amazingly delicious dipping sauce, excellently prepared vegetables, and an outstanding rice. It wasn't fried rice per se, but likely was prepared with a broth and contained bits of onion and carrot. Loved the rice!! JP loved his attractively presented sashimi. Dessert was ice cream: chocolate, vanilla or strawberry. We were a little disconcerted that their TV was broadcasting a show from far-right wing Trump lackey channel Newsmax. I think it's great that this is a made to eat sort of establishment and the spacious area allows you to be able to breathe as opposed to other buffets where dishes are flying out the window without much thought. If anything, we made the all-time mistake of ordering too many rolls at the end. Perhaps a pro tip would be to start with rolls and then to move onto the sashimi at the end but then again, the rice will fill you up regardless. Another highlight was the steak stir fry. All their tables are booth style. You order off the menu and they bring the food to you. If you order a lot of sushi they bring it out in a lovely boat. I'm always skeptical about AYCE sushi places, mainly because you never know what you're going to get at a place that charges the same amount as two rolls at typical sushi bars. My wife and I will typically share five rolls when we go: Dynamite Orchard Sea Angel King Queen Every time we've gone here, the sushi has been delicious, filling, and of good quality. I've never had an experience with too much rice being added or any sort of sickness. In addition to the rolls, I'll usually get a steak hibachi and a kani salad as appetizers. One does not need to fill up with non-sushi items, but I do it anyways. The hibachi is always cooked to perfection, and kani salad prepared the right way. I'll also sneak in a few nigari pieces throughout the meal. Those are almost always good, in a sense that the fish to rice ratio is perfect. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious and always seemingly clean. We've never had to wait long for a table or complain about any mess. The staff is friendly, attentive, and service is quick. Everything you want in an AYCE restaurant. I would say the only thing missing is the option for hand rolls, but I can live without them for the amount of food I already consume whenever I go here. read more

This place is really good. We came at around 630pm on a Friday night. It was super packed, but we got lucky enough to only have a couple minute wait while they cleaned a table for us. Our drinks arrived quickly after ordering (water and hot tea) and we placed our first round of appetizers, hibachi, and a few rolls. The miso soup came out right away, and was pretty quickly followed by the crab ragoon and shrimp shumai. The ragoons were some of the best I have ever had. They were light and crispy, held up to the sauce, but weren't super hard like a lot of places. I actually ordered a second round of them to finish with. The shumai were very good as well and not dry or chewy at all. The sushi arrived after that. The pepper tuna appetizer was good, but definitely leaves a pepper taste in your mouth so make use of the ginger to cleanse it out before moving on. The salmon bowl was amazing. It's basically spicy crab inside of salmon and topped with tobiko. I also tried a bit of my friends kani salad which was good and had some tempura in it for texture. She got the avocado salad which was literally just avocado with I think eel sauce but she loved it and mixed it with her kani salad. She got the tiger roll and dragon rolls I think, which she enjoyed. I started with the Las Vegas roll which was fried lightly but wasn't overly breaded, and was cut thinly enough you could easily fit a piece in your mouth. It was good, but nothing to write home about. The hibachi steak came out quickly as well, and was very nicely seasoned. It is just meat and veggies with a delicious dipping sauce that kinda reminds me of yum yum sauce. I might choose a different meat next time as I prefer my steak more rare and this was well done, but not too dry. But flavorful and the veggies were good. Next up I had ordered some nigiri and one more roll. Idk what it is about their salmon here but it is just amazing. All the nigiri was good tho with a great fish to rice ratio. The summer roll was good as well. There were a few more I'd love to try but at this point I was full so they will have to wait til next time. We finished up with a small piece of the "cheesecake" which is more of a cake that I think is baked with cream cheese, and a small chocolate mousse which the desserts were meh but you didn't come for desserts. They also have ice cream cups if that's more your thing. Price after tax came out to about $30 per person. Kinda wanna gatekeep this place but...it would be wrong to. My sister in law found Sushi Ohayo on IG so last night when the baby was asleep we decided to make the 45 min drive from Gaithersburg to give it a try. Yes it's far...but if you have the time it's definitely worth it. We ate an INORDINATE amount of sushi for 4. And for $25.99 per person you really can't beat it. The quality of the sushi surpassed all of our expectations. My favorite was the salmon stuffed with crabmeat (it's on the menu as a "bowl" but it's basically sashimi there's no rice, limit 2 per person/order - that does not mean 2 per person FYI, just per order). I probably ate like 20 of those things they were so good. The yellowtail had this nice sweet and citrusy yuzu glaze that paired perfectly with it, that one was my brother's fav. They have an extensive list of specialty rolls as well included in the AYCE. A number of them were fried and/or had cream cheese, which I wasn't feeling that day so I was able to eliminate a lot of them. The ones I tried were the King, Dragon, and those were good. The eel nigiris were HUGE btw. For one round we got a plate just basically just eel nigiris lol. The white tuna was like butter. The service was EXCELLENT. Our waitress was actually so attentive to us, she would come by our table to take our next order at exactly the right times. No reservations, but apparently when my brother called the man who answered said he could take his name, number, and time down and try to save a space for him, and when we got there, the guy actually had a sticky note with his info on it. So thoughtful I just had to mention it. Things I wouldn't bother with are the combination yakisoba (was a bit bland and also not really combination because there was barely any meat), miso soup (bland also). Wouldn't get the sashimi for +$6 because I don't think it's needed. Was kind of disappointed that hot tea was extra too. Thanks for the warning but I think we can parent our own kid and see the sign that encourages not to waste food which is common sense to us. If we were wasting food or not eating the rice, I'd understand the reason for the comment but to say it right up front like we're repeat offenders on our first visit was not a good start. So here comes the biggest minus of our experience... it was actually the rice. The rice was mushy... so mushy, they should have made it into congee. It was probably the worst sushi rice I've ever had. The rice to filling/topping was just ok. The Sushi Ohayo in Lorton was much better than this which pushed us to try this one. I've been eyeing this spot everytime I was in the area. It was a spontaneous decision for us to come here after biking. As soon as we arrived they seated us and gave us menus with a couple minutes to review. Then someone came by with water and took our orders. Once she brought out the orders she let us know that the kitchen was about to close so we should place any additional orders at that time. We ordered so many different roles I don't think I could even name them! They were all freshly made and delicious. The fish to Rice ratio was perfect. I love AYCE sushi, especially for $25.99. We ate so much that we ended up skipping the dessert. But they do offer simple items such as ice cream for dessert. Since they were closing, they gave us a box for takeaway otherwise we would have been there even longer. This isn't normal for them to offer takeaway packages for all you can eat though FYI. This was our second time visiting Sushi Ohayo since it opened in the Chantilly location in 2023. Overall, despite not being the best and freshest sushi we've had in the area because of its unlimited feature, it is a very good value for the price and the flavors do not lack. We continue to love the Dynamite roll, definitely our favorite and a must try. To start off, for a party of two, I would recommend starting off with three orders of all their raw appetizers if you like sushi. This seems like their higher price items and from there you can see which ones you like to order again. My favorite in order were: yellowtail jalapeno, salmon, black pepper tuna. If you like the sauces, get it. Otherwise I would skip. I did like the Crazy Monkey (banana) but probably couldn't finish the entire roll myself. I came here in a party of two around 2pm on Saturday and was seated immediately. The server promptly got our drink and food orders. Ambiance is casual. For appetizers, we ordered the black pepper tuna and yellowtail jalapeño. They were both delicious! We ended up ordering another order of the yellowtail jalapeño at the end too! It had a nice, subtle citrus sauce and not at all spicy. We highly recommend any tempura rolls! I tried 3 tempura rolls: shrimp tempura roll, spider roll, and king roll. The best was the king roll, which came with 8 pieces instead of 6 like most of the other rolls. It had the best crunch factor! We loved the regular sushi pieces (nigiri). We tried the salmon, eel, tuna, yellowtail, and white tuna. The salmon and eel were the best! If you like eel, I suggest getting the eel sushi and skipping the eel rolls. You get the best eel flavor in a sushi without all the extra avocado and/or cream cheese, etc. The salmon was quite fatty and flavorful. The fish pieces on the nigiri can be very thin, which is expected from a fairly priced AYCE sushi restaurant. We both ate a total of 70 pieces (including the appetizers), which is about $1/piece including tip. We both think it's worth the price you pay for. Went here with a few friends to give Sushi Ohayo a try since it's one of the new AYCE sushi spots in town. The Food: The sushi here was great! The fish was fresh and flavorful. All the rolls I had were filling a portioned generous. And, their appetizers were always cooked nicely and went out to us in a timely manner. All of the food options here from the fresh sushi, to the fried apps or hibachi were made/cooked very well The Service: Service was good here. Staff are friendly and attentive. We had a few check ups so we can re-order some more sushi rolls. And the wait wasn't long either. The Atmosphere: Nice and spacious. Cleaner than other AYCE sushi spots I've been too so that was nice. Plenty of tables and booths to sit at as well. Overall, a 4/5. Definitely good and delicious sushi. Not the best quality of course for being a AYCE sushi spot, but still very good and bang for your buck. Definitely recommend this spot if you want some AYCE sushi! read more

Fast service, extremely busy, and decent food! I came here on a Saturday evening with a group of 4, and while the front of house told us that the wait would be an hour, we waited nearly 2 hours - their system was on paper so I highly recommend they change to an online system! Once seated, service was incredibly fast, and we received our sushi before appetizers, pretty much within 5 minutes. I was impressed by the rice to filling ratio, and felt like it was worth the price. The appetizers were alright, I liked the peppered tuna the best, and the dragon and king roll were crowd favorites. If there were no wait, I would be more inclined to revisit, but I do not think it's worth coming for a 1+ hour wait. read more
