When I walked in, there were four associates at the front--one appeared to be a manager--but no one greeted me or offered assistance. I asked if they had dresses and was vaguely pointed toward a sale rack. I browsed and tried on a few items by myself, without anyone offering a fitting room or help until much later, and even then, the interaction was minimal. It felt dismissive and cold. I couldn't help but wonder if I was treated this way because I was in my workout clothes, looked young, or possibly because I'm a minority. The staff--all older white women--didn't make any effort to acknowledge me, which left me feeling like I wasn't seen as a "serious" customer or worth their attention. Needless to say, I didn't make a purchase. I'll be taking my business somewhere where I feel welcomed and respected. Ann Taylor, do better.

Some of my socks that are older, tend to slide down into my shoe, however, Lululemon socks never do this. My issue with socks, in general, is that I cannot always remember where I last put them - in my car, in the dirty clothes, on top of the washer in my sock bag. So, when some of my socks are in sock purgatory, I have more to wear. Lululemon is located inside Barton Creek Square Mall. Lululemon is bright, modern, and designed for a high-end shopping experience. The store offers services such as Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store, free hemming/adjustments, and returns/exchanges. Lululemon offers a wide range of women's and men's activewear, including leggings, joggers, tops, and accessories like yoga mats and belt bags. The store also participates in Lululemon's "Like New" clothing trade-in program, which is great for sustainability-minded shoppers. First, let me say Cavender's is a huge, cavernous building with a plethora of items for men and women ranging from western clothing to boots and jewelry. I walked up and down the isles looking for that ideal western top. I saw sweatshirts, coats, vests, and jackets with fringe but no fringe shirts. I felt like a cowgirl with a gun and holster on my hip. I saw my first salesperson and I said, "Howdy partner, do you know where I can find me a women's western shirt?" Why not snap into your country sounding voice, when you are in a western store? He said, "No, let me get the woman sales repr." Obviously, my imaginary gun and holster did not evoke fear where I was quickly ushered to a rounder of fringe western tops to choose from. The female sales associate came out to help me, but she said she was not sure if they had fringe western tops and helped me to look around. There were a number of western designers to choose from like Wrangler and Scully. To my surprise, western prices have escalated since I bought my western boots. Unfortunately, I did not score my western satin fringe top but it was entertaining to peruse the store. Some days you get 100% of what you want, somedays 50% and somedays 0%. I was at 50/50, so I cut my losses and headed home. That western top would be great for a western-themed party, or to add to a fashion-forward look. I will continue my search.
