Super cute store on the pricy side, but there's some great discounted items towards the back! They had a rack of bags that were 50% off, as well as a table with accessories that were half off. Bohemian rhapsody to its core! That is the only way to describe this store. Awesome style in clothes that are a little bit different then your normal clothing store at reasonable prices! Lots of selection from dresses, to T-shirts to overalls, to pants and flowing tops. It is a fun place to shop as there is always something hiding on the next rack. The people are super friendly here and willing to help all the time. This is not the first time we have come here for my wife and I know it won't be our last. read more

This Free People location has moved and has expanded in the Domain to become a huge, well-stocked store with super helpful employees. The Domain website says that a spin-off store will be opening in May 2021 to house their Movement fitness line as well, so both stores will be here in the same complex. They are taking appropriate safety precautions during the pandemic, so masks are required for employees and customers. read more

The employees treated my wife poorly and ignored her questions about a dress. My wife was in her gym clothes and we watched other customers who were dressed "nicely" get treated kindly. I walked in the store multiple times already and I've bought an expensive sweater there. I did notice that at times, when I'm going in there with my gym clothes, they don't really offer me any service. The one time that I did buy something from there, they treated me so differently because I was in regular casual clothing and make up. They definitely seem to profile their customers as they walk-in. My main complaint is that I spent quite a bit of money on one sweater that I picked out, and followed care guidelines explicitly only to find that the sweater quality was terrible. For almost $200, the sweater quality should be better than that. It was already piling, form was terrible and just doesn't look nice anymore. read more

I was so excited to see an actual Free People store!!! Apparently I drove by the one on south Lamar and didn't even realize it, but I was walking around The Domain drinking iced tea from The Steeping Room and freezin my tushy off when I saw the store. Free People is usually a line I see at places like Whole Earth and inside other stores. I never knew they had retail locations. The line is owned by the same company that owns anthropologie and Urban Outfitters. The clothes are very flowy, earthy, and feminine. This store had a lot of lingerie pieces and other beautiful things. Turns out nothing there fit me that I tried on, but I settled on an adorable winter hat in my fave color combo (grey and navy) complete with silver beads woven in and three poofy balls hanging from each side of the hat. It is so cute and girly but with dark colors. The store is really neat and the staff was very helpful. read more

Dropped by on a Thursday evening looking for a dress I saw online. Unfortunately, the girls behind the cash register were more interested in themselves than any customers walking in. I used to love coming here! I don't know what happened. :( I work close to the Domain, so sometimes after works or during my lunch break and come by and shop. Last year I was allllways in Free People and the girls were always so friendly and helpful. The past few months every time I've gone in I've just been pretty much ignored even though I'm either the only person in the store or just one of two or three people. I don't need the sales girls to act like we're BFF's or anything but a simple "Hello!" or "Are you looking for anything in particular?" would have been nice. There's a boutique in San Marco, Calli's, that usually carries some Free People clothing and they always have excellent, friendly service, so I'd recommend stopping there instead if you can handle the drive. read more

This is a huge Free People store with a large selection of their inventory. I'm usually disappointed when I visit their smaller locations in malls, but this store is beautifully decorated and the store manager Jordan is super friendly and accommodating. Staff was super friendly and helpful. There was just a very nice vibe to the place. I happened to be there when a special event was taking place and they were offering champagne and the cutest little cupcakes with frosting that like succulents (!) right as you walked in. Though I know they won't have that every time, I'm looking forward to visiting this location again. read more

Horrible experience today when I went in with my boyfriend looking to buy a new dress. I walked in dressed nicely literally wearing a Free People dress & the first employee I saw was a thin blonde woman that just sneered at us & walked right past us & continued putting clothes up. Very bad experience. Was planning on buying clothes but I got discouraged by the extremely rude & stuck up employees. Another redhead employee with a nose ring also walked right past us without even acknowledging us. Do not recommend. Their is absolutely no reason to have such an incredibly large egotistical attitude. Just a tip to this Free People location: greet your customers if you want a good & positive store location. I wandered into Free People at the Domain after seeing some things I like online. I am an avid Anthropologie shopper, so I expected the same kind of friendly, helpful customer service the minute I walked in the door. MISTAKE. There was no greeting when I walked in. There was no acknowledgement after being in the store for 5 minutes browsing their regular-priced stuff. Just 2 girls behind the counter yakking about their day, one of them trying on clothes from the store that she wasn't intending on buying. (WHAT??) Finally, someone else walked out (maybe a manager?), and asked me if I needed any help, and she asked the salesperson who had tried on something whether it was something she had just purchased. At least someone in the store was doing her job. I did leave with something from the hidden-behind-the-registers sale room. So they get another star for having a clean and well-organized sale room. But I was not enticed into trying anything else or spending any extra time at the store because of the terrible customer service. I wonder what service would have been like had I tried on something. Would they have been as awesome as Anthro where they suggest items to complete an outfit? Make helpful suggestions? Somehow, I doubt it. I will try the downtown store, as I did really like the clothing itself. Until then, I guess online shopping will be the way to go... read more

I just have to brag on the girls at the domain location!! Every time I go in they are so cheery and helpful, but this time especially I was so grateful for them!! I recently placed an order online for an outfit, I'm actually going to Paris to get engaged, very soon and I envisioned it happening in this outfit (LOL), there was a problem with the delivery and I never received the item, so I called the store to see if they had it, not only did they have the item waiting for me with my name on it, but they immediately called corporate and made sure I got a full refund before I even left the store!! Of course I didn't get the adorable curly haired girls name that was helping me, but I cannot be more thankful! I will always go to free people above many other stores for this reason, I always find what I need and the employees truly care about your experience! read more

While I love Free People, this is one location I have sworn off. The girls in here are the snootiest, least helpful retail workers I have ever encountered. You walk in, there are no other customers and the girls in the back will be chit chatting paying no attention to you. These retail girls are just plain rude. I visited the FP in Seattle and it was a totally different story, very friendly, helpful and attentive to ALL the customers. I blame this on the manager. You need to keep your employees in check and remember who pays your bills.....the customers! read more

I have to give a "shout out" to Morgan. I ordered a black velvet military jacket online and it appeared it had been returned by someone else with the extra buttons missing. These buttons which are part of the jacket's charm are very specific, and if I lost one it could not be replaced. I called customer service and they were not able to help me. I then decided to call the Free People store in the Domain and low and behold they had extra buttons. When I went to the store I found that the jacket was on sale for much less than I paid online. No problem! I got a price adjustment right away. She was very friendly and helpful. I then bought another shirt there on sale, and although I do not know the associate's name, she was very friendly as well. I will definitely be visiting again! read more

I purchased something from Free People online for my wife for Christmas. It was a bralette that I put aside on arrival. When my wife opened it on Christmas, she immediately felt it was not something she'd wear, so she set it aside, too. A few weeks later, I finally have time to return it (we have two young children), so I head to this store. Apparently, the garment had been washed (not by us), but I assumed it was sold that way. The cashier ("07766") noted the condition and when I explained it arrived that way, she was unconvinced. In fact, she offered to show me what the item should look like. That is helpful, how? The implication was obvious -- it was worn and washed and now I'm trying to return it. There are many better ways the cashier could have handled it. Perhaps show some sympathy? Perhaps apologize that a used/washed item was sent, but then state that company policy said only a credit can be given? Nope, just some snootiness with no sugar on top. I did get the credit, and I've learned my lesson to checked mail-order items carefully on receipt, but this store can go suck it. read more

These girls are seriously so helpful. Obviously Free People has the best stuff, but besides that this store has such good customer service. They have shipped things to me numerous times that I haven't been able to find online. Brooke was so nice and offered me over night shipping to ensure I got my shirt before my trip. I also came in for Coachella and left with more things than I had planned on. The girls grabbed me different sizes and brought me different cute items they thought I would like. They are all very nice and actually want to help you! This store is always first on my list for any help I need. Thanks girls! read more

The associates here are always so nice! I called earlier with annoying questions about online returns and exchanges and the girl I spoke with could not have been more helpful. She helped me locate a pair of shoes my size and style in MD and gave me good tips about online shopping. She could've easily just said "nope we don't have it," but she took an extra couple of minutes to help me out. Excellent customer service if I've ever seen it. read more
