Charming store with some really beautiful pieces inside right on 2nd Street in downtown Austin! The staff were really friendly and showed us a few items to try on out of the cases and made suggestions for pieces (stackable rings and necklaces) based upon what is in-store. They also informed me that if I needed a few things done to the pieces they are able to add some rings for sizing (like necklace length) at no charge. They have mostly gold but they do have white and rose gold as well for those who don't do yellow (like me) and some diamond and moissanite pieces. There are rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and some engagement rings as well that were very pretty and classy. There are also a few non-traditional pieces for the individuals looking to stand out. Beautiful style and options. They can do custom pieces for you if you are interested. BUYER BEWARE! This store has a few pretty pieces but if you're like me and have only a general sense of what your loved one is looking for, don't shop here. Eliza Page will not issue you a full refund in the event you get it wrong and wish to return the item. If you complain and ask them to have Elizabeth (owner) make the call, she will only give you a partial refund, requiring a 20% "re-stocking fee." This re-stocking fee is an archaic concept from many years ago when there was an actual cost associated with accepting a return. For EP, it's just a matter of putting it back in the case. Upon returning my piece, I was dinged with a large re-stocking penalty. It's a shame because they do have a few nice pieces but this sort of policy is just plain ole bad business. Eliza Page showcases some of the most elegant handmade and independently designed necklaces, bracelets, earrings and charms I've ever seen. Many of the featured designers hale from Austin (nice!), but EP also showcases artists from Los Angeles, NY, and elsewhere. Everything in the store is exorbitantly priced (seriously expensive stuff), but it's fun to drool over and dream about. If you can afford it, I'd recommend heading here instead of your brand-name jewelry store. Not only can you pick up a unique bauble for yourself or someone else, but there's a story behind every piece. Fantastic experience purchasing an engagement ring setting. We were initially drawn to the location because of it's elegant designs, far more attractive than what we'd seen in the big box stores. Ashley guided us through the entire process professionally and carefully. She took time to understand what my fiance wanted by sending us ideas and bringing in examples of settings and diamonds. She made us feel very relaxed and welcomed in the store. Once we had a good general idea of what my fiance liked, it was up to me to put all the pieces together. There are so many great pieces in this store. Maybe I just can't afford the truly awesome ones, because I have had a problem with a couple so far. The girls in here are really nice though. My first stop in, I got a brass ring and a pair of gold earrings = $100. The earrings are wonderful. I love them! I get compliments on them. The ring turned my finger green. Evidently, some people's skin has a reaction to brass. I wish I would have known this. So I took the ring back and they offered a store credit. I got a super cute ring made from rubber, cement, and silver. I got compliments on it. I joked with my boyfriend that I got it as a pre-engagement ring because "we have a really solid relationship." Since the ring is made out of rubber (like an o-ring), it doesn't really slide down your finger. Today it broke. I called and they said they would send it back to the designer to have it fixed, so that was nice. I'm at a crossroads here. It's hard enough to find something that I really LIKE that doesn't cost more than $100 (hey, I have expensive taste). Three stars seems about right for someone who can't spend more than $100 a piece. Everything is made with beautiful real stones, so I would say the higher end pieces are definitely worth it if you have the money. read more

I just left that store, after browsing on several occasions, with two new pieces. Elizabeth and her staff are consistently friendly as if I were a long standing, paying customer even when I was not. I love to browse/try on everything. Especially things that I am sure I would never like because you never know. They are always helpful and not pushy and to me that is a great store. Yes, there are pricey pieces but there are also plenty of beautiful options under $100. If you want to spend $5-20 Forever 21 has tons of fun options. Exclusivity is a big deal for a lot of us - most of us treasure those hole-in-the-wall bars we frequent because tourists have not invaded them yet and most of take pride in dressing like no one else because we create the illusion that we're hip and/or trendy. And then there's a place like this: a boutique jewelry store specializing in designer pieces you will not see on 15 other people as you walk down the street, and has somehow managed to fly beneath the radars of many people for years now. You want exclusivity? You've found it. There's a reason that opening paragraph of this write up is so long: I have no idea how to review a jewelry store. My "jewelry" is limited to the various Swatch watches I have and periodically a Ring Pop (but only if it's cherry-flavored). So why even bother reviewing a place like this if I have no idea how to properly go about it? Because with as successful a business model as they have, and with as many years in operation under their belts as they have earned, something is a bit amiss with the number of Yelp reviews I'm seeing (or not seeing, rather). At the time of this writing, I'm only the 20th person to review Eliza Page and that seems a bit odd since I know the experience I received here is one I imagine a lot of folks received, and therefore should be shared to reinforce the service and friendliness offered. We were passing through town on our way to visit extended family and my Mom wanted to duck in here to pick up some handmade designer jewelry. This was the place to go, because once you walk in, the stark design of the store gives you plenty to see, both in front of you and behind glass. The individual works are made by artists mostly within the Austin area, but a few placards said some came from New York and other states across the country. Earrings to necklaces to bracelets to rings and possibly jewel-encrusted knuckles if you searched hard enough were everywhere, and don't let the size of the store fool you: there is a lot to see here. And with the amount of merchandise offered, it is refreshing that the staff here do not suffocate you. You know how when you go furniture shopping, a minimum of 83 salespeople descend on you as soon as you walk in the door, forcing you to hide behind an ottoman until their predatory gaze loses sight of you? That doesn't happen here. The saleswomen are polite and attentive, but in no way do they shadow you or make you feel pressured into buying whatever is featured this month. A couple of saleswoman were working the floor and they were ready with answers to whatever questions we had. It took no time at all for Mom to hone in on a couple pairs of earrings and the check out was equally prompt. While standing near the register, I spotted a couple of magazine and editorial write-ups on this place, so clearly the word is somewhat out. Now, with that in mind, someone is probably going to inevitably criticize them for posting these accolades because it might make them look boastful, especially by the cash registers and blah blah blah. Oh, please. If a publication wants to recognize a business for their product, service or even their musical selection piped in through the speakers, that's wonderful. Even if I did hear Bruno Mars on the soundtrack at one point. If there is one bit of caution to the Eliza Page experience, it might be the price point. Some of this stuff does not come cheap, and I understand why: handmade designer jewelry. Those three words assuredly command a high price point, and just typing out that previous sentence made $27 magically disappear out of my wallet. Be forewarned if you go shopping for your significant other because you may end up spending more than you had planned. But in the process, you're not only supporting a business and team of artists that deserve more recognition, you're also joining an exclusive club of fashion forward jewelry wearers. WOW! This store is amazing. The product is top of the line but what really separates them from all the other jewelers is their customer service. My wife and I bought both our ring here and have loved them but one had two stones come out. I went in and not only did they remember me but they fixed the ring with no questions asked. as we continue on to find the perfect wedding band, we stop into eliza page. i walk in just a few minutes under closing time. our girl was so nice and pleasant to me during my visit, i never even realized how late it was. i spent some time looking at 2 different designers. both of them had really amazing and unique looks to each ring. you can see the slight details and embellishments that make all the jewelry here very special. i really enjoyed the fact that some of the designers i browsed were local, independent jewelers. the prices were a little bit higher than your local jewelry chain, but you can see why. the craftsmanship is amazing! i'm very excited to return after the wedding so i can focus on the other options of jewelry in the store. as i walked out, i saw so many amazing necklaces and rings. i'll be back soon! read more

I totally agree with both Clarisa and Sarah's reviews. Eliza Page showcases delicious, designer jewelry that is highly drool-worthy. I would much rather have a piece from this store than some cookie-cutter piece from some boring mall jewelry store, any day - and although the prices are high compared to most costume jewelry, if you're talking about buying a piece of non-costume jewelry, then the prices are comparative or even on the low side. I personally don't buy much non-costume jewelry, but if you have an ultra-generous relative or significant other who is wanting to buy you something special, you can't go wrong by giving them a subtle or not-so-subtle nudge in the direction of Eliza Page. My addiction started a couple of years back when the bf bought me a beautiful and unique necklace from here for Christmas. I get compliments on it almost every time I wear it. I have since bought myself a couple of additional pieces and gifts for others. The jewelry here is gorgeous! The saleswomen are incredibly nice and helpful. Most of the pieces come from independent designers, some of them local, and many of which you cannot find anywhere else in Austin. The jewelry features gorgeous materials and elegant silhouettes. I just found my new favorite store in Austin! The service was just the right mix by being helpful and welcoming without being over bearing and pushy. I really hate it when saleswomen are pushy. Just let me look around! This was not the case here, they were pleasant and informative and ready to show me any piece I wanted. I found a fabulous pair of Shaesby thread through earrings. It can be expensive if you plan on buying many things (because you WILL WANT EVERYTHING!) However they are unique pieces that will last you a life time. I could not disagree more with the negative reviews the store received. If the only complaint about the store is that someone was disappointed when they could not use an expired coupon then they must be doing something right. Expired means expired. BUYER BEWARE, This review is STRICTLY based on an experience with an engagement ring. It is also a last resort - after trying to contact the owner via LinkedIn - and exchanging several emails with Kathleen the manager. As a mid priced jewelry store for bit and baubles, Eliza Page does have an interesting assortment of very on-trend and unique pieces. I would often stop in to the 2nd street location on my lunch break to look around and loved their representation of local artisans and bespoke pieces. So when my very long time boyfriend and I became engaged I suggested he check them out for the engagement ring. My beloved took an exact image of a ring I had sent him to have made. After paying for, and reviewing CAD drawings (I later spoke with two other local jewelers who do not charge for CAD drawings) he commissioned the ring. Now this is on him, 100%. He should have put the breaks on right there - however this is a guy who has never stepped foot in a jewelry store ever and just thought this was how the process worked (later, after visiting other stores to see about fixing the ring, he confessed he had felt very pressured into the ring they came up with, and didn't realize the process could have been as simple as it was elsewhere). Fast forward a few month to the proposal - I was so overwhelmed by the love and thought put in to the ring, it took me a while to realize - it was ugly. And I mean UGLY. Yes, it was sort of in the vain of the inspiration photo that I had sent him, but the execution was WAY off. The center stone, an AWFUL morganite (their suggestion, not his) was set incredibly high on top of the carriage. This thing sits a solid 3/4 on top of my finger. Aside from making it look like a cocktail ring, it knocks in to all surfaces and snags on all of my clothing. But the worst part was the astronomical price tag (upwards of 6K for a Morganite). If you are unfamiliar with the stone, do a quick google search and you will quickly find them on Etsy, Blue Nile, and Costco for hundreds not thousands of dollars. A custom piece can surely get tweaked. But no. I asked about having the "carriage" that holds the stone so high, be lowered to a more sensible height, and was told the designer said that it couldn't be done because it would "compromise the integrity of the stone". I took the piece to Dean Fredrick who said the stone absolutely could be reset, and was confused as to why a stone so soft would be set that high in the first. I then took the piece to a jewelry buyer/reseller who said he worked with EP on loose stones who offered me $400 for the piece (he said he assumed we purchased it for $1200 because 'Eliza Page was expensive', I didn't have the stomach to mention it was $6k). In short, they wouldn't stand by their work. I understand you are unable to return an overpriced, custom piece. I understand he signed paperwork. But work with us. Buy the center stone back. Offer to consign it. (Kathleen later offered us a $500 credit to the store). I did find a local store that would consign the piece, which is where it sits now. There are other jewelers that are more helpful, more reasonably priced and offer a more enjoyable experience: Dean Fredrick Copeland Jewelers Diamonds Direct (ask for Fernado) Working with Eliza Page on this ring has really overshadowed the joy of the engagement process.
