When I walked in, I didn't feel particularly welcome. I was greeted and asked about my visit; I said needed a new bathing suit and was just directed to the walls to figure out what I wanted. The associate wasn't very warm. My experience at other locations was far friendlier--the sales associates there wanted to help me from the beginning to find what I wanted. That said, after I started picking out some things, the associate came over and noted my preference based on my selections and offered to help me find other items to try on. While trying on the suits, the associate checked my progress and brought me different sizes and other suits to try based on things I was discovering. I was really pleased with the things she brought to me to try. In fact, it was a selection she brought to me that I ended up purchasing. The selection of two-piece suits offered various degrees of coverage and support. I didn't check out any of the one-piece swimsuits, so I cannot comment on their quality. There were many colors to choose from, but sadly the truly vibrant colors I was searching for appeared to be out of season. Items are sold separately, so it's easy to mix and match items, and even buy two tops with one matching bottom to leave with two swimsuits! While I was browsing, I heard a few people come into the store and leave shortly thereafter. I can see that this would be very frustrating if this was the routine that happened throughout the day. I imagine some people walk in and get sticker shock, so they don't stick around. I mention this because this store sells quality swimwear. If you want to spend less than $20 on a swimsuit, go to Walmart. But this store will sell you items that will hold up longer than one season and stay in great condition. Great experience. Rosie helped me find complimentary swimwear. The items she chose for me were the ones I ended up picking. Im a size 4 (usually S-M) in most all brands and didn't even fit into a large here :/ the floor attendant (who is far larger than I am) looked me up and down and literally suggested I try Target instead, lmaoo I couldn't make this up! Guess you need to weigh less than 120lbs to shop here. Went next store to Nordstrom and got my bikinis there! Nordstrom has far superior customer service for this price range anyways :) read more

The retail assistants, Danasia and the other one, sorry I forgot the name, were very friendly and helpful as I tried different selections. The swimsuits are really cute and they have a great selection. The prices are high but I've bought a swimsuit from them several years ago and it lasted a long time and I used it a lot, so the price matches the high quality. A specialty shop that the main thing that they have special is that they have high prices! Everything but water is far from what the name implies.. do they have bathing suits... yep... also they have coverups... yep... do they have much else... NOPE! Their prices are high, their selection is thin, and their service is sub par! It is a small shop stuffed with way over priced swim wear! I was not impressed at all... my wife did find several over priced cover ups and a pair of lace pants for beach wear that she did buy, but I have to say I just would think that a place called everything but water might carry beach towels, beach bags, water shoes, beach hats, sun glasses, and the like. Well if you think like me you'd be wrong. If you're looking for anything besides ladies bathing suits that will cost you an arm and a leg.. I'd pass on this location. read more

Dear Franchise Owner: So many things went wrong during the 30 minutes or so that I visited your store! I get that you're paying Domain rents. I get that there's a mad rush for bathing suits as the world begins to reopen and summer is days away... But if you're going to charge me double (I checked!) for the same suit I can buy online, the one thing I expect you to guarantee while I'm shopping there is privacy. Not once, but twice other shoppers barged into my dressing room while I was trying on clothes. This could be remedied so easily in a myriad of ways. Give it a think. read more

I've been to this shop twice and just like everyone one else who has a negative review, I experienced unfriendly customer service when I walked in but thought this shop had some really amazing and cute items and would give it a chance! I ended up spending hundreds of dollars at "Everything But Water" on what I thought was good quality swimwear and merch but after wearing the first suit I realized I was wrong. The suit is bright pink and the color bled and ruined other clothing after I took it off. Summer has just begun and I will not be able to wear the swimsuit again. I called the store and explained what happened and expressed my disappointment as I really thought the shop was cute and would have easily gone back. They said there was nothing they could do on their end, their policy didn't allow for them to do returns and gave me the number and email to customer service. I entered with a purpose to drop some major $$$ on swim bottoms for an upcoming vacation. 4 associates (for a store THIS small?) continued to talk amongst each other without evern acknowledging my presence. I made it all the way around the perimeter or the store with 6 bathing suits in hand and stood outside the fitting room staring at them. I finally asked if someone could start me a fitting room and I was literally met by an army of rolled eyes. I won't lie to you, I went into the fitting room and tried on nothing. Overall I feel like this location of Everything But Water has the consistently best swim collection in Austin. I'm loyal to Just Add Water for that reason, but the above and beyond customer service I had today while shopping made the experience that much better. Tori is freaking amazing. She knew every single item of inventory in the store. She was extremely intuitive about what was fitting my body and then bringing me things accordingly. The selection was phenomenal. Truly something for everyone. If you need to do a swim haul... call and ask when Tori is working. I went in with my daughter three weeks ago and there were three employees in the store and we were helped extensively. They continued to greet every customer that walked in. She listen to what I was wanting and end up finding three swimsuits for me. I even argued that I didn't take certain swimsuit isolate good on me and she ended up proving me wrong. She was very honest with her opinions in a complementary way but would let me know when something else looked better on me. I walked out of there after spending $520. It was a last minute panic when I realized I needed 2 swimsuits today! Instead of shopping around in other shops that may-or-may-not have swimsuits in November, I went directly to Everything But Water. I knew they would have a large selection. When I walked in, Mary Jo met me with a warm and friendly smile. I described the exact kind of suit I wanted. "Support, decent coverage, etc.". Within minutes, she had gone through her store pulling at least 8 options for me to try ... each meeting what I was looking for. And the most valuable part was that Mary Jo gave me an honest assessment of which suits flattered my body most. I chose 2 perfect suits. And when I asked for coverups to go with the suits, Victoria brought over a perfect (!!) one. I couldn't be happier with their expert knowledge of what suits flatter our bodies best, and with their patience in finding the perfect suits for me. Needed a swimsuit for a fun get away and called the store and chatted with the most helpful staff member, her name was Mary Jo. She went out of her way to listen on the phone and made some selections and emailed me photos. I loved seeing the different selections she picked out and I must say, that was a really nice touch. Later when I got to the store, she had many cute selections waiting for me which was very impressive. Her attention to service and helpfulness are appreciated. Do not shop here. My husband bought a swimsuit for me as a gift. It didn't fit correctly so I kept the tags on the suite, liner etc and went to the store to return it. Even though everything was in place (exactly how it was bought) I was told I couldn't return it because I didn't have the receipt. Really?!! This is 2019. You can't look up a receipt with a credit card, tags still on, and electronic receipts from when I exchanged the bottoms? When I asked this question the response was "this is our policy" so now I'm stuck with a $250 swimsuit that I can't do anything with. I even asked if i could exchange it for something in the store and was told no. With stores like Nordstrom who have a million different ways to do a return without a receipt there is no chance I'll ever shop here again. Went to buy a swim suit and walked in with my dog and was told, "We don't allow dogs in here. Only service animals." Although strange, considering every other store in The Domain is dog friendly, I totally understand. However, my dog is an emotional support animal (for which I have a doctor's letter in hand) and after informing the employee of such, she rolled her eyes and turned her back to me.
