We are big fans of the Nordstrom Rack, but we always stop by Nordstrom's at the Domain when we are in the area. Everything is high-end and trendy, but you can find a deal now and then. I found a very nice shirt in their clearance rack. We do keep an eye out for their sales events. We have found that service is excellent in all of the departments. I do like that they have comfy chairs available, so I could chill and catch up on all the NFL Draft news while my better half continued shopping. They are dog-friendly, and most folks keep their pooches on a short leash. read more

But the great thing is that they can order them. But I wanted them now. I want to wear them tonight! But this store is also so pretty; it has an open floor plan. So you can see every department on the first and second floors. I also like the outside eating area; that's a plus. Not to mention they have an attached garage. I am a personal stylist so I frequent the Nordstrom in the domain quite often, whether for myself or for clients. * I find the women's section is very well laid out and shoppable. There are a variety of brands from Vince, Theory, Frame, and Veronica Beard on the higher end to more affordable brands like Open Edit, Halogen, or even the in-house Nordstrom brand. * The floor frequently changes. Clothes move around from week to week, and as they've been under new management, I like the layout even more lately. * There are members of the staff that can be a little bit aggressive to work with, and I often notice they grab some of the most expensive brands for customers even though that might not be the most flattering option for their bodies. (Important to remember they earn commission on purchases.) * The women's shoe section is always a little lackluster. Recently a woman was walking on the floor announcing on repeat that customers were waiting ... with a microphone. * The men's shoe section isn't big, but the staff is helpful. I find the men's clothing selection could be better. There's lounge wear and some mid range priced items, suiting, and then high end clothes. It seems the mid range selection should be more. * The jewelry and sunglasses area always has me waiting for help. The selection is great, but they aren't staffed well there. * The handbag selection is very slim. For all the brands they could carry, there is a lot of a few things (Tory Burch and Marc Jacobs). * If you have the opportunity to work with Michael, an associate, he's the best. I don't know whoever's bright idea it was to have Rob at the front of the beauty when you walk in but that needs to change. Not only is his appearance off putting but the way he speaks to people is absolutely disgusting. Came in to get presents for my family with a friend who doesn't speak very good english and was asking him where the handbags were to which he responded " I don't know; where the handbags are" like it was a rhetorical question and gave me a dumbfounded look. Considering Im not the 50 year old man who works at Nordstrom and sees those bags across the room daily so I didn't know, but he sure did. I get it he is a beauty person but you're at the front of the store and I know you could've at least pointed to a direction, it's the principal of the fact that he chose to go out of his way to be a bitch then simple say "over there" with a hand gesture". I love this Nordstrom location for its convenience. The Barton Creek one does have more options, but I'll be coming to this one specifically for Shayla. I recently wanted to change my style and don't know what size of clothes I wear and she's extremely accommodating even when I came to the store with only 15 minutes to shop before closing. On top of that she let me try on the clothes, etc., and stay in the store after hours to make sure I was happy with what I was getting before I left. On top of that, she reached out the next day to ask how I like them because she knew the link was a bit of an issue. I reached back out to her on her day off, and she assured me that she would grab some more items for me to look at when I come back to the store . Shayla really understands the Nordstrom experience and what it's supposed to give. I know she's new to this location but her customer experience is 10 out of 10 and her managers should look into her relationship with her new customers that she's already got. She is truly a rockstar and Nordstrom is lucky to have her in the men's department. I'm so glad I get to shop with her. This is a fantastic Nordstom and a perfect starting point for an adventure in the Domain Northside. The parking garage is convenient, even in peak times. My son loves shopping the clothing section. Many items are too pricey for us, but we always get good ideas. The fragrance section is notable, with a huge selection of high end brands and lots of great stuff to try on. Customer service has always been helpful and friendly. My daughter is a "Sephora girl" but she loves the huge beauty section at the Nordstrom. I had a great experience at Nordstrom at the Jo Malone perfume counter. The sales associate was very attentive and accommodating. Her friendly demeanor helped with making the decision to purchase another perfume. The store is large and I will advise that they can probably adjust the temperature of the store to be a bit cooler. It was a bit warm, but that may also be because of the harsh Texas summer. The bathrooms only had 3 stalls for women and it was shocking to know that it was the only set of bathrooms for women on that floor. Other than that I did enjoy shopping at this location! read more

I am definitely not one to write a bad review and this is actually my first time to do so. I was very disappointed in the service I received tonight (7/28), or lack thereof. As an expectant mom, my husband and I went to battled 45 minutes of traffic to get to the Nordstrom Domain tonight. We had full intentions to purchase a stroller and car seat, which can range upwards of $1500. When we arrived, the sales associate was on her last few minutes of her sale of another stroller. She didn't even acknowledge us-- fine, we kept looking. After her sale, she moved on to help a customer's child to try on a shoe. They were there after us, which fine again- we were patient and continued to wait. We were in the stroller department for about 30-45 minutes and didn't even get a hello, nothing. We even pulled up YouTube while we were there to figure out how to close the stroller and she even looked over and did not even offer assistance. We were extremely disappointed to say the least, especially since strollers are high priced and a big purchase for our newborn. I've worked in retail for years previously and it's definitely smart to prioritize a large purchase over a $50 shoe sale. We left empty handed and disappointed. Pretty mixed experience at this Nordstrom. The selection of kids clothes tends to be on the boring side, and the people in that department are absolutely no help -- even when the store is practically empty. We went to Nordstroms to try to purchase a pair of shoes and to get my son's feet measured. The attendant concluded that he had grown from a size 3.5 to suddenly a size 4.5-5 big kids. And then didn't even try to help us find shoes. We didn't end up buying any shoes from him because of the lack of any customer service. When we finally bought a pair online, the size that he had recommended was actually way too big. This meant my son had to wait another week wearing ill fitting shoes before the right size arrived. My daughter tried to return a pair of shoes that was worn once, purchased less than 3 months ago and the sales person told us the return was OUTSIDE THERE RETURN POLICY WINDOW. I love this store. It's dog friendly, and besides...when I'm unsure what to buy but know what I need, most of the time, Sale folks are up to the task. For instance, I kind of knew the type of shoe I wanted, but was unsure about function and brand. The youg kid working shoes was friendly, and pulled a few pair when asked, but wasn't really engaging. As I shifted to coats, an older associate not only found us wandering, but set us up with a coat order (size out of stock) and also walked us back to shoes where he personally worked with me asking this and that to really nail down the right pair for my needs. There's something to be said for late 30s/40s associates that just sets them apart in service these days from younger bretheren. Either way, I enjoyed dropping half a grand on shoes and a coat, trust in the quality and service at Nordstrom, and will be back again. read more

We stopped by today to buy a pair of boots, Rodd and Gunn. The sales associate was very nice and this isn't about her (maybe just a little). They were having an "Early Bird" Event but somehow we managed to slip in and shop. Upon finding the right boot we went to pay and they wouldn't sell the boots to us because we weren't "card holders". Why not have a guard at the door to make sure non card members don't get in? Total shopping kill. Her first question should have been, "Are you card holders?" Not, "What are y'all doing today?" I can't believe I'm getting around to writing this review as a now new momma. Nordstrom is my legit quintessential place to shop when I need my adult girl purchases. I always feel very put together with their personal shoppers assistance and over their years it's nice to see what past purchases I've since made since gaining raises and making more money as a grown up. I recently dropped a crazy amount during their cyber sale week for our yoyo travel stroller that flies in airline carry on cabins so I don't have to gate check a thing cause let's be real, who has time for that with a newborn? SO helpful getting me set up and the deals and accessories were worth it! Same thing for our convertible seat, the Nuna Rava, in their limited edition fabric at $500. I know, that's the price of a fancy PlayStation or a decent wedding dress. Gone are the days of buying for me when I have a baby to dress up and protect. I love the higher end baby gear and items they sell and it's much closer than trekking to buy buy baby. Plus, when doing Christmas shopping, gift wrapping is free. That's amazing! I don't have to wrap a thing and cry that it looks terrible. Bazille, their 2nd floor restaurant, is also an amazing place to grab noms and sips for convenience without leaving the store, and their front cafe is light and airy. In particular Julie O. , has a remarkable ability to work with mature skin, and breakdown simple steps for make up application for young ladies, men, and even mature ladies who prefer to keep in simple. I am please to express that compared to other department stores with counters for each brand, this store and notable Julie O, are a must see about rebranding your look to fit an easy, every day routine that is both simple to understand, and elegant to show off. I have been shopping at Nordstrom since I was a little girl. So coming to this store in the Domain is somewhat nostalgic for me. Their beauty department is lovely and usually very helpful. But often, I feel like I am not approached or helped because I look like I'm not going to purchase something, despite being a Nordstrom cardholder. Many of their staff members are very stand-offish, which is incredibly disappointing. I will continue to come back because I love the restaurant Bazille, and I love the products in store. This is one of my favorite Nordstrom's. I love the pop-up boutiques at the front and they have such a wide selection of clothes here. I'm not joking. I was at the Nordstrom's in San Antonio just the other day and left empty handed, but today I had to have a chat with myself not to overdo it. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because of the customer service. There were three employees standing around and not one of them acknowledged me and the rack of clothes I was trying to wheel to the dressing room (exaggeration, but you get it). Completely non-attentive. One thing I will say about the SA location: they're super friendly and attentive, 5-star customer service. read more

What's amazing about this place is that they have all kinds of different brands from clothing, home goods, shoes, jewelry, and more.
