Oscar helped me with jeans while another staff member helped my bf with tshirts (didn't catch his name). I told Oscar my dilemma with my 1955 jeans, and he recommended boncoura work pants to me. I think they're a new product and were made in partnership with self edge? I don't remember all the details beyond him telling me he fits women in these pants because they surprisingly fit women really well. I tried them on...and yeah. I walked out of the store with them and wore them the rest of the day lol. Everyone was super helpful while we shopped and tried clothes on. I think I actually had a better experience here than at the SF store. They have a parking lot out front, so the store is really accessible. If you're looking for raw denim, visit self edge. If you're looking for premium, well-made basics or you're into working menswear from Japan, go to self edge. They're knowledgeable, and they're passionate about the industry and products they carry. I'm glad self edge opened a store in Austin bc I'm pretty sure there isn't another store here that is within this market of clothing. I'll definitely come back as soon as my budget allows!

Good day, Wanted to…read morereach out and share my experience on a release by Sneaker Politics. There was an Air Max 95 Bandana Release on Saturday, during SXSW on 3/14. I got to the store at 9:30am and was greeted by a gentleman (smaller black guy with shades), who gave me the details of how the release was going to work. He granted me a wristband that had #3 on it. Door opened at 11 and majority of people got wristbands and lined up. Everyone lined up according to their numbers on their wristbands. With me being #3, I entered the store and bought the releases. I understand that it's a release, so I do understand one per person. When I walked out there was a Hispanic male outside who worked with the store giving out wristbands. I wanted to get my daughter a pair, so I asked could I get back in line grab another. The line was really long. I grabbed another wristband and was #76. I was told from that Hispanic male that o could get another but I had to go to the back of the line, which is what I did. I waited and waited until my turn. The line grew longer behind me. When I reached the registered, the same gentleman (black guy with braids) who checked me out the first time said I couldn't get about pair until everyone got a pair. He said if I wanted another pair then I needed to get out the store and wait back in line (which is what I did the second time and was #76). I showed him my green #76 wristband and he rudely said i needed to get back in line again to get another pair. I was not trying to argue, so I told him I'd do that but this was wrong. I was disappointed. The black guy in braids stated that he was the manager and there was nothing I could do to get another pair right then and there. I told him the guy with the wristbands said I couldn't get back in line. He said "the guy outside with the wristbands is a part time guy who doesn't matter to the store." He's not the manager, I am the guy to make the decisions." He was very rude! I walked out and got back in line AGAIN! When I got back in line, there were others who had got back in line who were in front of me and waited twice while it was my third time to wait in line for a 2nd pair. The line was long. A few guys had bags in front of me. Just made me feel upset and targeted. The line moved and I was now one guy away from the register. The guy in front of me also had a bag and pair in his hand that he bought earlier. But he didn't wait 3 times like me. When it was my turn, I told the managers in braids, "am I good now because I waited." He laughed and said he was the manager again. He gave me a speech about how he makes the calls and that I got the pair I needed. He said, "you got the pair you needed, right?" Very rude, while laughing, and it felt like he was really making fun of me. He then used profanity and mentioned that he needed to make his living. "You're not going to fucking stop me from making my money, you got your pair didn't you?" I didn't say anything, then I kindly mentioned I'm not going to argue, I just want to make a purchase and leave. He gave me my pair and checked me out. I kindly reached over to shake his hand or give him a dap. He laughed at me and didn't bother shaking my hand, so that's when I left. My experience with Sneaker Politics was very disappointing. All the other employees were great until I reached that gentleman. Very unprofessional, laughed at me, used profanity, and I'm sure he didn't have that conversation like that with other customers. I felt dumb and targeted but thankful I got me and my daughter a pair!

Staff were friendly and the overall ambiance was chill without being dull or overwhelming. Typical retail prices are to be expected, nothing too crazy. I didn't even know there was a store here in Austin. But I also didn't know how old of a boot store Lucchese is; and actually much older than some of the other traditional boot brands. So any company that has making quality products for over a century, well, it has to be quality! It's a small store and I even walked past the entrance as it's a bit unpretentious from the outside, especially when compared to some other nearby boot stores. When you walk in, right away you can see the quality. The colors, the richness of the leather... it all just screams craftsmanship. If you are looking for "work" boots, this is not really the place to come. But instead of rows and rows of boots of varying quality, here you have a nice showcase of nothing but the best possible boots you can ever own. Unlike some stores, they don't pounce on you when you come in the door. They are good at just standing back and letting you look around and when you are ready, there are plenty of sales representatives around to help. I pretty much knew what I wanted and the salesperson, Gabe, showed me a few examples of the Ostrich skin boot I was looking for. It was nice there were a few different styles and colors to choose from. Gabe brought me a few pairs to try on in my size and when you first put them on, it's like putting on a pair of boots you have had for several years. The fit was incredible. Not too tight or too snug but not loose. I walked around with the one boot and was convinced this was the right size. When I put on the other boot, I knew there was no way I was going to leave that store without them. The color was a light brown/tannish color which is nice enough to wear for something more professional, but light enough of a color to just wear with a pair of jeans to anything. Gabe was extremely helpful. No pressure and just made the whole experience perfect. Yes, they are on the high end pricewise, but on the other hand, you are going to have these the rest of your life so think of it that way. And boots like this are never going to go out of style. Great experience and there is no question I am going to be back for another pair once I figure out which type of boot I want next.

This was the first store that actually greeted me when I walked in (while all of the other ones completely ignored my presence and didn't even attempt to assist me), so we're already off to a great start. The woman who greeted me asked if I was looking for anything in particular, so I gave her a brief rundown. She asked clarifying questions and upon giving her my answers, she perked up and directed me towards the most gorgeous pair of white heels, claiming that so many brides purchase them for their wedding day. These shoes were PERFECT and even better than what I had envisioned myself wearing on my big day! She got my size and I tried them on, and I fell in love with them instantly! The only issue is that I was concerned about them becoming slippery if my feet were to sweat (a totally realistic problem in the Texas heat lol). She had a solution - $7 clear foot pads that were designed to keep your feet in place. Not only am I so happy with the shoes I bought, but I am so appreciative of the great customer service I received! The other people working in the store were equally friendly and were also invested in my story, showing excitement for me as I described how perfect these shoes are for my upcoming wedding day. However, color options were limited at the time - gray and canvas (oatmeal). I tried them on and purchased the Small size as I found the fit a bit larger on my frame. The cashmere crew was comfy and I wore a base layer underneath (cotton long sleeve tee) . I was pleased to grab the second sweater (canvas) on sale. Overall solid shopping experience and good value considering other cashmere brands are on the higher price points. It's nice to own various cashmere pieces from good value buys to high end luxury. Personally, Everlane sweaters are priced just right for those on the fence, you won't be disappointed.
