I came in looking for a new outfit after realizing the one I wore out initially was too warm for Austin's unpredictable seasonal weather! My first attempt was a failure because I had to go to the bathroom urgently and they don't have one. I rushed to the La Condesa restaurant across the street who were kind enough to let me use theirs. I returned to the store and spent my sweet time picking out options. One of the things that caught me eye ended up being a top, not a skirt. Since I was there solo, and carrying a lot of my own stuff, I asked the fitting room attendant if he could help me if sizes weren't wrong. He did this two separate times and was lovely throughout the whole experience! I decided to go with a different top as the one pictured, and in the wrong size, but I needed that denim crop. I'l probably eventually sell it but the green skirt is going to be one of my new staples for sure The other store attendant who helped me with the shirt/not a skirt debacle ended up being the one at the cash register and gave me a big shopping tote to fit my new clothes, and the personal belongings I couldn't fit inside my North Face backpack. read more

Hands down my favorite UO location. I love their clearance section. I can always count on finding unique relatively affordable pieces here. Customer service is excellent. They are all very helpful. I've had bad experiences at the GUAD location, but never at this one. Also, they have an abundance of home products. This place had me triggered at how extremely slow they were at checking people out. I came in to buy some sunglasses quickly and needed to head out. Compared to a lot of Urbans, their sunglasses selection was mostly 4 styles in different colors. Anyways, I get to the line And start waiting. There's two people on the register and a third is training a new hire. With 2 people in front of me, I assumed it would take no time as the people checking out had minimal items. 12 minutes later one of the people in front of me was allowed to check out. I'm not kidding, this place had the slowest check out of any store and instead of the third associate temporarily pausing her training and helping out they just ignored us. read more

Yikes. Let me start off by saying I have no problem with the staff and customer service. I actually had an associate go above and beyond to try and find me a special iPhone case in the back. My beef is with Urban Outfitters as a whole and how they're treating this store. Has no one read a stock to sales report? Has anyone talked to allocations? For a decent sized space it feels like there is nothing of actual substance in this store. I really do love this OU. The space is beautiful and the deals are real. There's a constant stream of clearance clothing that's marked down to the lowest of low. It's the only way to shop the brand. Other than the sale section, the customer service is on point. They aren't too pushy and they have great attitudes for people who work in retail. That takes a special kind of person, OU has it. Spacious, organized, neatly folded clothes with helpful staff. Yes, there was a few girls giving me the eye roll for bringing a baby in the store, but Mommies have to shop too damnit. Their inventory is updated on iphone-looking gadgets and they can check other stores for you if they do not carry your size. (SCOFF) A mile and some mild whining later, we arrived at the new Urban Outfitters location. The shattered windows lining the store were like a memorial to the W disaster of 2011. Before I could make that same joke to the Lady, she dashed into the store with the intensity of me at an all-you-can-eat buffet. I followed suit and apathetically scanned the men's section. "MaaAARRrrk." "Who's there!?" "MaaaaAAAARRRRrrrrk!" "Where's that coming from!?" I turned to find a casual jacket beckoning me from the sales rack. "Shut up, coat! I'm here to appease the Lady, NOT to spend money." I informed the fabric. "Come on, MaaAARRrrk. Just try me on! I'm %50 off and go with just about every t-shirt in your arsenal," he argued. "At least try me on!" I checked the price tag to see if he could be trusted. $69 reduced to $36.99. His math was a little off, but what the hell? The satin lining gently massaged my arm hairs as it traveled up my shoulders. I quickly slid on the left to avoid any awkward growth in my trousers. This has got to be the cleanest and most organized UO I've ever been in. I'm going to assume that's due to the newest of its location and not due to its staff. Overall, the place is extremely clean and well organized. It's actually almost too sanitized. I almost didn't realize I was in an Urban Outfitters then I received apathetic hipster attitude from the staff and I was reminded of where I was. The decor lacks imagination, had they put half the thought that was used to design the fitting rooms this might be an interesting location. Urban Outfitters books & knick-knacks are waaaay better than any Urban Outfitters clothing even though both are extremely over priced. Although I can't bring myself to buy a $70 tank top, I enjoy browsing around Urban and seeing the interesting styles coming out of that store. This location is very organized which is a nice change of pace from other big clothing stores in town. I stood in their huge dressing room while my cousin tried on some over priced Levi shorts and was asked numerous times if I needed help with anything by their friendly staff! I love browsing the random books & things they've got on display. This trip into UO, I picked up 2 "Mazel Tov Bitches" pint glasses for $5 each. Okay, I almost bought a Siracha cookbook & a boyfriend that grows when put in water but I held myself back. My daughter tried to buy a pair of shorts, they didn't have them in store but the store in New Orleans had them. Great! She paid for them in store and the La store was supposed to ship them. Next day her bank account had been charged THREE TIMES for the shorts!!! When we went to the store to get them to reverse two of the charges it came to light that the shorts hadn't even been ordered from the New Orleans store either. So she was charged three times for a pair of shorts that still haven't been ordered!!! It's now been 5 days and Urban Outfitters STILL have not refunded the money to her account! All they have to do is send a fax and it will be completed within two hours but they can't even do that correctly. I'm leaving this as one star until it's corrected. read more

Literally would leave 0 stars if I could... I came in with my cousins from out of town and we literally walked in 15 ish minutes before the store closed and we were just looking ( not even going to try ANYTHING on since it was about to close ) and some girl with two buns and gauges asked us if we needed help with anything. And she said "okay well I need you to either go to the line or out the door" or something similar to that, that was pretty much kicking us out when it was still 8:52. The woman on the phone was friendly and helpful and even knew what jumpsuit I was referring to and pleasantly put the item on hold for me to come try on. This UO doesn't have a very large selection to choose from, which is disappointing. It's incredibly difficult to find parking by this location, as well. There isn't much fluctuation from store to store, but I have found more of a variety at the Guadalupe location. The layout of this store is very nice, however. It is in a smaller location, but they have really done some great interior design with the space they have. read more

I don't write reviews but I was furious about this because it was a waste of my time and I had to pay for parking when I shouldn't have. I had called to put an item on hold, the employee found the item and put it on hold for me until the following night. The next day, I drive to this location and found parking. I thought it was going to take less than 30 minutes, so parking would be free... I walk inside the store, tell the employee at the front that I had an item on hold. He couldn't find it in the back. It was the only size available and it was backordered online so I was excited to hear the day before that they put it on hold for me. Another employee ended up helping us, by going through their stack of clothes out on the floor and also rechecking their backroom again to find it. No success. I am not writing these reviews about the 2 employees that helped me. I am grateful for their help. I am writing about the employee that "put my item on hold." If the item was not in the store, then do not say that you'll put it on hold. If the item WAS in the store and you put it on hold, please put it on hold in the correct location that you were trained to do so other employees can find it when I come to pick up my item. I wasted about ~45 minutes driving there, and then paying $4 for parking since it was more than 30 minutes. Please train your employees to correctly handle these situations if the item is in stock/out of stock. read more
