The clothing tends to be in the preppy outdoor vein with good selections of semi-expensive brands and extensive menswear and women's sections. In the back of the store is whole room devoted to luggage and footwear, and you'll also find everything from sunglasses to candles in other parts of the store. One of my favorite touches was the cute clubhouse style lounge for kids to watch TV while parents shop. And there's even a built-in bar in another section for events. The employees are friendly, everything is clean and new, and it's a nice place to shop if you want to browse and see how things fit.

Second Looks is clearly his baby: he's not just an attentive consultant, responding to your preferences on house, material, and tailoring (thankfully, he is not hesitant to offer his excellent suggestions on fit and styling), he's also a gentleman and a scholar, eager to share his considerable knowledge about the history of menswear, soul music, and rodeo, having been a cowboy himself before working in radio and taking over Second Looks. Michael's selection is fantastic. he showed me suits and separates from Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece, Drake's, Canali, and local Austin bespoke tailors Capra and Cavelli. He's got Allen Edmonds shoes and a great collection of belts, which seem to go very quickly. I didn't peruse his selection of casualwear, but it seemed just as well-curated and complete as his formal sections. I walked out with a Golden Fleece jacket and alligator belt having spent about $115--he gave me the educator discount. I couldn't have asked for better value. Having lived in Boston, Cleveland, Charleston, SC, Eugene, OR, Granada, Spain, and Norwich, England, I've never been so impressed by a menswear shop, let alone a secondhand store, or by its owner. My biggest takeaway, beyond the great clothing and accessories, was Jeb. This man is a GEM. From the moment we walked in, Jeb greeted us and made sure we were taken care of. He was smiling and so incredibly friendly the whole time, even cleaning the cheap glasses I bought in the end before handing them over. These were legit the cheapest things you could buy in the store, but he treated them like I got a fancy pair of Ray-bans from the glass case. They even have oat milk! They are right across from the restrooms. Look for the awesome vintage orange metallic VW bus right by the splash pad.
