    Clam chowder

My husband and I had dinner here around 5:30p on 3/15 and it was fantastic! We each had a bowl of clam chowder; which was delicious and thick, and we shared the fish and chips entree, which was huge and could feed two people. Our server was the nicest young guy and was very attentive. I can't recall his name, but he's happily married and loves watching RAW wresting (if this helps the owner recognize which great server he was around that time). If you order what we ordered, you won't be disappointed.

We were exploring the sights of Boston and came about this place while walking through Quincy Market. We wanted to catch the baseball game and it was a perfect day to sit outside to watch the game, enjoy a Samuel Adam's and have some nibbles of the local foods. We were seated right away by the host who was very friendly giving us a great table. Our server followed getting our drink orders as well as bringing us water. Both very friendly, smiling and not bothered by the larger crowd in the beer garden. We got our drinks and gave our orders and not long after that our food came out. Everything was good and hot and plenty of it. So when you are in Quincy Market and are hungry or thirsty Ned Devines is you place, and if the weather is good sit outside and take in the sights. Ciao

    Bangers and mash

Was too hungry when we went. Love Irish food and the menu looked good. The reality- very disappointing. The food was bland from the corned beef and cabbage egg rolls to the bangers and mash. The bangers were good but that was all. The gravy tasted like diner gravy either from a can or powder. Only one night in Boston and wasted my one dinner here.

This place is larger than it looks from the sidewalk and patio. Two floors and an outside beer garden. They have a good selection of craft beers on tap including Fiddlehead IPA. To sit in the beer garden on the 4th of July, I had to order something solid so I ordered a Caesar salad. It was quite good: good sized and tasty

The spot has a nice outside area to sit and people watch. Quincy Square itself is a disgrace, dirty and cheap tourist trap. I only had an appetizer, fries and curry sauce, the sauce was so good !! Worth a sit and rest, and watch the world go by.

Stopped by for a quick lunch and I thought the hot chicken sandwich was pretty good. Very juicy and pretty big chicken patty, but I don't think the flavor was anything special. Overall, it's a good place for a quick bite, but with so many other places to try at Faneuil Hall, probably wouldn't be my top choice to revisit. But not a bad place to eat if you want American food and the service was great!

In the hustle and bustle of Quincy Market food array is this quaint Irish Pub. I cozied up in a wee wooden 2 seater booth in the corner for some great people watching and a "Fool for a Mule". Quick and friendly service and delicious cocktail. Will definitely visit again l

After a long day of walking around, my boyfriend and I stumbled upon Ned Devine's. After searching through the market, we decided to go the traditional sit down route because we were hungry and exhausted. We sat in the upstairs patio and we were sat down pretty quickly. Our drink and food orders were taken pretty quickly and I was excited because everything sounded pretty good. I ordered the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and I would probably rate it a 3/10. It had the consistency of marinara sauce and the buffalo was extremely light. I also ordered the mule with raspberry and it was okay. My boyfriend ordered the Boston hot chicken sandwich and it was probably a 5/10. It would have been way better if it was hot like it mentioned in the title. I was honestly a little disappointed in the food, but the service was pretty good. They ended up forgetting the appetizer we ordered so we cancelled it halfway through our meal.

Stopped by just for a snack in the middle of sightseeing and slight hunger. We read that the chowder won some awards at some point so we stopped by specifically for this. One person in our party ordered the French Onion Soup and said it was really good. It's typically for it to be overly salty but this one was just right. In terms of the clam chowder, it was really, really good! The chunks of clam were substantial. It was creamy but not overly so. There were potatoes but it wasn't just potato! Overall the experience was good and I would come back again. The only slight nit picky thing is that our waitress was literally the energizer bunny. It was a bit over the top. On most days I would say that this is a good thing, but as a waitress, you have to be able to "read the room" and adjust accordingly.

We stumbled upon Ned Devine's today and knew nothing about it except it had air conditioning!! We were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious!!! We loved the fish and chips and the bangers and mash! Highly recommend either one!

The Interior and food were acceptable. But cocktails were awful. Never again. Don't waste your time. There are much better places to go.

She was able to find us a table after a short wait at the bar. By the way, at the bar I had the best Guinness I have had in a while - a great pour. Once we sat down, Rachel was right there to welcome us and get us started. This exceptional level of service from her continued throughout the evening. We started with the sharing platter and each item was fantastic. Everything was hot and delicious. Of particular note were the pigs in blankets - the sausage is fantastic. The only disappointment was that it came with one scotch egg instead of two. For supper, two of us ordered shepherds pie, one Guinness pie, one Guinness stew and one Fish & Chips. Everyone was very happy with their meal. Great flavor/seasoning, good portions and perfectly cooked beef and fish. We continued to enjoy the Guinness and Smithwick's on tap until the end of the meal when got a round of Irish Coffee which was delicious. Rachel was spot on with her service and attitude and even engaged in a conversation with us about our next trip to Ireland and she reinforced our desire to go the north of Ireland including Donegal where she is from. At some point my wife told Rachel that it was my birthday and that I am not a cake person. Rachel managed to get the kitchen to make a personal size apple crumble which was scrumptious and happens to be a favority of mine. In fact my wife commented after that she would have ordered it but it was not on the menu as a dessert. Another example of Rachel going above and beyond the call to ensure we had a great experience. And we did. Thank you to Rachel and all the staff and chefs for a briliant evening. I can't wait to go back!!

The shepherd's pie had no mince (just potatoes and peas), & the Guinness pie was more like a beef stew than a proper pie. The real establishment is the historic Bull & Finch Pub, which served as the inspiration for the exterior shots used in Cheers. Inside, the walls are filled with memorabilia ranging from cast photos to Boston sports history, giving the entire place a nostalgic atmosphere that fans of the show will immediately appreciate. It feels less like stepping onto a television set and more like stepping into a small piece of Boston pop-culture history. We went down the stairs and inside. No one yelled Norm at us! Even though this is a major tourist trap - the food was fine. I knew my wife wouldn't finish a sandwich so we decided to split Sam's turkey sandwich and a bowl of the Boston clam chowda. They brought us the half sandwich and fries on two different plates, which was nice. It was nice fresh bread and the sandwich was real tasty. And I hadn't had New England clam chowder in a while - which I guess they call Boston clam chowder now - but it was great. Lots of chunks of clams and potatoes and we mashed up the oyster crackers and put them in there. My wife also ordered the Lilith Pan Asian salad with oranges and noodles - it was good but we really didn't need it. I ordered it the Bull and Finch IPA - I figure if they have a signature beer I'm gonna give it a try. It was satisfying for sure. There's lots of memorabilia around the place from Boston and the Cheers show. I only took one picture of that because I didn't want to be a pain to the customers that were there! Suffice it to say that, despite it being a tourist trap and a tad more pricey because of that - the Bull & Finch pub is a great place to go and eat and drink for lunch or dinner. Check it out!
