During the call, the rep requested access to my phone to help me navigate the process. I allowed it and he proceeded to access my bank account and steal $975 from me!! He then attempted to charge my bank account through Uber $500 eight different times within the following hour. I have a bank statement, confirming this. The attempted charges come from Uber. I have contacted Uber on more than 15 occasions since the incident, never getting any real attention whatsoever. Instead, I always get an automated message telling me since the charges did not go through, they are closing the case. And just like that, I am dismissed! There is no getting a hold of a live human at Uber. It's all automated and it's all generic and nobody there cares about my situation. Needless to say, I will never recommend or use this company ever again. Ever. Uber is the most unprofessionally run business I've ever used in my entire life. My advice to anyone considering using Uber is to find a different service. This company is not worth giving your money to. They should be ashamed of themselves. Hassan (sp?), an older man, greeted me right away and offered to help me with my bags. His cab was very clean with a bottle of hand sanitizer available to his guests. Before we started to drive off, he put on a mask, which I appreciated - especially during this covid pandemic. When asked, he was wonderful about describing the areas I pointed out on the way to my destination. I arrived to my destination and my exit was quick and easy. A receipt was provided. Later that day, our group of 4 had to get to another destination in Scottsdale. We contacted both Uber and Lyft and were quoted 23-28 minutes. With 2 tweens in tow, we thought it would be fun to see which driver would show up first. After several attempts with different drivers of each company, waiting in the Arizona 100+ degree heat outside for 45+ mins, we gave up and went back inside. Once inside, I found my VIP Taxi receipt and called. They assured me they would send a taxi immediately. I asked if they could give us notice when they were 10 mins away so we could have time to head down to the lobby before they arrived and they agreed. Just to be sure of the pickup location and time, I repeated instructions several times (she did not like that at all and told me so). In any event, we waited for the pick up to the airport to no avail. No one showed up. Calling to determine the reason proved to be a difficult and aggravating experience. For the first several phone calls, could not talk to someone who was willing to help. Eventually, we reached someone who told me that the cab had been sent to the wrong pickup location. It was very late, so we cancelled them and had to drive our own vehicle and use long-term parking at the airport. Incidentally, just as we were pulling into a parking space at the airport garage we received a call from a driver asking if we wanted him to drive to our home location for pickup. Obviously, too late. Had we waited we would have missed our flight. The driver cut the call off before I had the chance to complete the brief conversation - another rude encounter. If you need scheduled pickup, when time is important, find another option. Any other option. The lack of respect and professionalism from this company is absolutely astounding!
