******DONT USE UBER!!!!!!!!! **** I called Uber customer service to dispute an unknown charge on my account. During the call, the rep requested access to my phone to help me navigate the process. I allowed it and he proceeded to access my bank account and steal $975 from me!! He then attempted to charge my bank account through Uber $500 eight different times within the following hour. I have a bank statement, confirming this. The attempted charges come from Uber. I have contacted Uber on more than 15 occasions since the incident, never getting any real attention whatsoever. Instead, I always get an automated message telling me since the charges did not go through, they are closing the case. And just like that, I am dismissed! There is no getting a hold of a live human at Uber. It's all automated and it's all generic and nobody there cares about my situation. Our company paid for 150 vouchers for employees to use this service for the past 2 years. 90% of the vouchers didn't work. My friend no longer drives because she is 84 and is on oxygen 24/7. Today, 04/02/2026, she took an Uber to a grocery store and arrived around Noon. Once her shopping was complete, she called Uber for transportation home. The driver told her that she won't get out of her car to help assist my friend and left. In total, three other Ubers were contacted today and didn't show up. She waited outside the grocery store for 2.5 hours!!!!!!!!!! Many vulnerable and elderly people rely on companies such as Uber. Their transportation is not cheap. In fact, one four-mile round trip can cost $4 from point A to B and then on the return from B to A $27. Hubby had their annual Halloween company party Wednesday night. They provide Uber vouchers to ensure the employees are safe. Since we live in Chandler & the party was at a bar in Scottsdale, and the place the boss bought out for the party is known to have difficulty with finding parking, Hubby used the Uber rides this year. When he was ready to leave about 10:30 is when things went down hill. He had a difficult time getting a ride. Multiple drivers declined him because they "can't go down the street" the bar is on. When he finally got a driver, he had to walk 2 blocks away from where he was to meet the driver. This is horrible service and super dangerous! The same thing happened to 2 other employees there That left after my husband did. You have highly intoxicated people try to get home safely. Then you require them to walk 2 blocks drunk, in the dark, and unfamiliar with the area. To top it off, the drivers drove right by the bar while taking them home. Now granted I don't know why the drivers "can't go down that street" to pick up rides. Perhaps there has been previous issues with riders. However, that has to be a better compromise for customers being responsible and not driving. Safety should be the top priority in my opinion. read more

I rated my driver 5/5 and tipped him 60%, no response about my question, calling him is a recording about phone not supported. Horrible company. This is the fake driver that Uber has on their app. He's always 5 minutes from my house, in the safeway parking lot. He always appears when it's especially busy and the rates are especially low. He's a place holder so they can buy time to find a real driver while you cluelessly wait for your ride that won't ever be showing up. I've been late to work, missed interviews, cancelled appointments, had all kinds of terrible experiences waiting for this person who doesn't exist and will never show up. I have no car so I have no choice. There is no bus that comes to my neighborhood and the closest stop is 15 miles away. I went through this routine about 5 times, finally choosing a Priority car. That didn't work either. Others are right saying it's the luck of the draw... but typically you have a decent experience with Uber. I use it to get around a few times a month when driving doesn't feel right (airport, late at night, downtown areas, car getting oil change or is too low on gas, etc). App works well. Easy interface. I work for UberEats on the side, so I see both sides of how the app works. One thing you can't say is that Uber has a bad interface, because it's extremely easy to use on both the driver and the customer side. Hot tip: cancel if your driver has a rating lower than 4.80. This usually means they are an aggressive driver or have a dirty/smelly car, insanely loud music or are vaping while you ride with them (yes this happened before). Happy riding! read more

Your company has become awful. Hidden charges. Inability to reach anyone, speak to a manager, submit a complaint and more. I can't even see a receipt for 24 hours to comprehend how my $18 order became $36!!! Tried to cancel an incorrect owner in the app within 1 minute. Couldn't. App wouldn't let me. Called to get help. The person who answered couldn't understand me. ASKED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER AND WAS TOLD THEY WERENT AVAILABLE. Was on hold for 25 minutes before hanging up. Half the time, you deliver to the wrong address. Other times, the order is wrong. Too expensive for how much you FAIL. It's become "UBER" bad. I used Uber from my home to Phoenix Skyharbor Airport and return. The ride to the airport was great and the driver was prompt and friendly. The return trip a week later was different. Despite receiving an email confirmation for that trip I never received a text message and when I checked the Uber app it said the reservation had failed. Have you ever tried to contact anyone at Uber? It's bloody impossible!!! Anyway I found a Lyft driver to take us home. I'm very disappointed with Uber and may never use them again read more

Had a small emergency emergency and needed some products quickly so I did or Uber delivery from Walgreens put the order together went through my PayPal said it was on its way. 30 minutes goes by. I look outside I walk around or come back in they say they came to my door, but couldn't deliver it, they say they called me but I didn't answer my phone. This is nonsense. I had reservation to take me to a medical procedure where they told me I could not drive home after. I ordered it for 30 minutes before I needed, just so I wouldn't be late. Driver calls and can't find my house, then another message driver will be late. Then another message that driver canceled me. Then I'M charged $25 saying that I was the one who canceled. If i could give uber a negative I would. My husband use to drive for uber and they are a scam of a company. My husband was a 5 star driver and he got kicked out of the app being of violation of their rules. When he had reported a scam and a ticket for someone scamming him out of 200$ on the app saying he was part of a promotion through uber gave him his make model of cars how many rides he completed which made him eligible for the promotion. And got scammed. When he reported it to uber the put in a ticket. He continues to drive and not even 48 hours later he was banned or kicked out saying he violated their code of conduct. He was unable to log in so we constantly reached out because he had about 200$ in his wallet from the two days of rides he did before getting kicked out. They told him he needed to log in through a different device so he logged in through my phone we got in but was unable to cash out so we went through the support option reported it and now I can no longer long in through my phone. This is crazy and ridiculous I do not recommend driving for them because they are thieves. You can't talk to a live person. And they are withholding funds that are not theirs I feel like that's son illegal. Uber needs to get the hell out of here you are playing with peoples livelihood we have 5 kids to feed and support. There is no way to contact customer service if your ride was set up by someone else. I had a ride Wednesday 10/8/25 and the driver was very unsafe. She held the phone in her hand the entire ride. I understand they follow the directions on their phone but it is illegal to drive with your hand holding your phone in PHX. It must be hands free only. At one point she even took her other hand off the wheel at one point to decline a call. She was driving with NO HANDS on the steering wheel. At the beginning of the ride I asked her nicely to please drive with both hands on the wheel and she said "Oh, I do this all the time." I even offered to tell her the same directions to get to my house the phone was giving her to go and she just blew me off. I felt very unsafe and have no way to report this ride as it was set up for me by medical transport. I reported it to the medical transport and they just said they would make sure she would not pick me up again. I do not think she should be allowed to drive if she insists on driving illegally and I have no way to report it. Uber needs to have a method to contact them in this type of situation. read more

Now deliveries are consistently late, the drivers aren't always the ones sent, food has been stolen, and yesterday the driver who spoke no English delivered the wrong order and in fact the order delivered was Door Dash on the the receipt not even Uber Eats. The response from Uber consistently is "Sorry" . The most recent screw up involved a refund of the order with Uber Cash, but they still charged me for the driver tip which I demanded be reversed and they did not. My recommendation is DO NOT expect service with Uber Eats. It's not there. read more

Will NEVER us UBER again. Reserved ride for 11:50 at GCU. Car arrived on time. HOWEVER, would not provide the ride because I didn't know the PIN #. My ride was "DENIED"! Then, I returned to my son's dorm to borrow his car for trip home. As I was just about to enter his car, I got a call from another Uber driver (running a bit late) at the entrance to university ( about 1/2 mile from my location). She refused to come around the corner to the NE entrance of the university. I'm old, dehydrated, it's 110 degrees and I can't walk the length of the campus - it would probably take me 45 minutes. She refused to wait or come to my location. Thus she cancelled that ride. I then borrowed my son's car and drove home. In any attempts to resolved this - there were no business phone numbers available to the drivers to call for assistance AND no customer phone numbers available to customers. When I got home, my account was charged! I had $48.94 on my account. At the end of this day, they were short $1.06. Thus, they charged my visa. Unfortunately, in my prior experience with Uber ( an associate?), my visa was charged $55.00, my phone became infected and my bank card was cancelled. Thus I was only going to use Gift Cards. So good luck on getting your $1.06 because my Visa ain't no more since the first crappy experience! read more
