We normally have good experiences at Nash's for lunch. We went Valentines Day with granddaughters. Fish and chip are the best I think in Chico. The prime rib was just ok no flavor and the Philly sandwich meat was dry. Salads are always good. The service was very slow. After our salads were served, it was 30min till the dinner came. Not great. Our food was lukewarm, they forgot my salad. It took forever to get our initial drink order. The place wasn't too busy to warrant the lack of attention. We heard they were open for inside seating. Went for dinner. Had to enter through a very crowded bar where no one was wearing a mask. The food and service were good but I refused to walk through the bar again when we left so we exited through a side door. We won't go there again until the pandemic is over or they change the entry so you don't have to enter through a crowded bar. read more

Came to this restaurant for breakfast on a recommendation from a friend who attended Chico State. There are 2 different entrances depending whether you're there for breakfast/lunch or dinner. Their breakfast menu has many options and they offer mimosas on weekends. It was quite active for it being a Thursday morning. Looking to have something light but satisfying, I ordered the mini breakfast and opted for zucchini shreds. It came with an egg, bacon, and the shreds. It was deliciously satisfying without giving you the over-stuffed feeling typical of restaurant breakfast. The zucchini was perfectly seasoned and not at all overcooked. The bacon was high quality and grilled to perfection. My boyfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy with poached eggs. The gravy is house made and thick, but unfortunately the biscuits are not homemade. read more

This place doesn't need my stellar recommendation because they do a great business anyway. But I was surprised to see people criticizing it, especially because they don't allow dogs which has nothing to do with the restaurant food quality or service. My wife and I have been going to Nash's once a month for the last several years and one of the more outstanding things about the restaurant, besides its high-quality food, is the fact that it is staffed so fully that service is fast and efficient. In fact this is probably the most well staffed restaurant in town. And the wait people are very pleasant always. I definitely take note of how well run this restaurant is considering how many meals they put out for breakfast and lunch each day. The food quality in my opinion is better than moms and other popular breakfast places here, the only slight frustration is that it is always busy and is a bit further from downtown so if you want to do bottomless mimosas which I highly recommend you need a DD or to walk/Uber. read more

I was here checking out Chico State campus with my high school son/graduate and ate at Nash's. The day I was there, we saw a huge cockroach scurry out of the kitchen and across the dining floor. I mentioned it to the waitress who brought out the owner (Gary?), who was in denial and really mean. We actually paid for our meal and left, uneaten for the most part. Ordered the Chinese chicken salad. The menu indicated it was made with chicken and cabbage. It was $11.50....no discernable cabbage or chicken. I made waitress aware I was disappointed in the meal prior to eating it. She simply stated "that's the way they make it". Well, they should make it according to the menu. honestly a great spot. we came at 1:30 and bottomless ended at 2. body approached for the first 20 minutes but they compensated for it. we finally called someone over and they filled us up. we were nervous to ask for more but they were at our service. all of our food came out in a timely matter and was very yummy. My boyfriend and I ate brunch at Nash's a few weeks ago. We had to wait awhile to be seated because it was really busy. We were seated about 30 minutes after arriving. Our food did take a long time to arrive once ordered but we barely noticed since we were happy to be spending time together. Their petite cakes (pancakes) were good, but their fried potatoes were fantastic! They were served as little squares and were dusted with Parmesan cheese and chives! Our waitress was very good at making sure our glasses were always topped with coffee and water and she was always kind to us. In sum, the positives were friendly staff, bottomless coffee, and tasty potatoes! However, the food was a bit pricey and the wait was long. Though I didn't mind the wait, I probably wouldn't seek this place out for that very reason; if you're hungry, sometimes you just don't want to wait! read more

Okay, so Nash's is always pretty busy and you'll probably have to wait a while to sit, have you order taken, and get your food, BUT, Nash's offers the best champagne brunch deal in town! (3.99 extra for neverending champagne, a muffin, and fruit salad). When they say neverending champagne they really do mean it! My wife & I ate at Nash' s , just yesterday. Was about 1:30 in the afternoon. I had the " brunch burger", my wife had an omelet. .My burger was still frozen in the center. There was the"butt" from an ice burg lettuce end. Pale tomato, no onion, a glop of mayo & catsup, all hidden by a bun that was supposed to forgive what was not food inside. Potatoes, frozen, deep fried, cold. When I was asked about my experience, the waitress looked like a deer with her eyes in the headlights. When I approached the owner, after waiting for a manager that never showed, she proclaimed how she has never had a complaint,& that her food was from fresh ingredients. Both lies, as I have read several negative reviews, as well as asking local peoples. ALL negative responses. Why have people responded positively ? In my opinion, ALCHOHOL . Period. I went here for breakfast one day as I was waiting for my mother to get done having a mammogram and biopsy at the breast care center across the street. It is a really nice restaurant with great service and great food. It took a while to cook my food, hence the four stars but overall a great price for the money. I would highly go back. This review is about my second visit to Nash's... Went to Nash's for Father's Day cause my stepdad loves champagne brunch. Our service today was absolutely horrible! The server's were really nice and friendly but their service was really bad! Everyone around us was getting their champagne glasses refilled but we had to flag someone down almost every time it was time for us to get a refill. It was like we were sitting at the "invisible table." You would think that they would give us a refill too since they gave both tables next to us refills! The worst part is that this happened numerous times during our meal. Our waitress also gave us our check really early and never checked up on us again. So disappointing! I think it might be time for us to find another spot in Chico for champagne brunch. The bad service at Nash's is so not worth it! read more
