Stopped in here for a quick bite before a work meeting. Didn't look up any reviews, conveniently it was on a corner and easy to find from the Main Street. Walked in and it's very clean. Pretty cute place. I ordered a "create your own" sub and let me tell ya - they don't skimp!! This sub was so loaded that half of the half filled me up! The owner was extremely rude. I went in the establishment to have lunch. I'm not good with iPhone and was very polite and trying to explain that I would like to order my lunch, but don't know how to use the bank app on my phone to purchase my lunch. I didn't have my ATM card, and didn't have cash. I needed help understanding the Wells Fargo Bank app on my iPhone 17 an thought they might help a 55 year old senior citizen. The manager came over to my table after I went out to my car to get sunglasses and I even put my Bible on the table with my note pad and when I got to the outdoor table I left my stuff at and was starting to sit down, the owner got extremely rude and shouting at me to leave the establishment. My friend David Rojas worked with the new owner before he bought the place when Miss Nicky owned it. I came in lots of times when David Rojas worked there. Apparently the new owner didn't recognize me, I was in my work clothes and wanted a nice meal. Such a rude man. I would not recommend this establishment EVER. VERY RUDE AND HURTFUL OWNER. It was so much better when Mrs. Nicky owned it. I just wanted a nice meal. No compassion from this establishment. Pretty much ruined my day. These establishments up on the ridge have really lost how to treat people. Do not go to this establishment the owner is horrible. And I've been hearing the food isn't all that good anyways anymore like when Miss Nicky owned it. I was excited to try this place, but it seemed very understaffed, hopefully just an off day. I ordered pickup and was told 15-20 minutes. I arrived about 20 minutes after ordering and saw one staff member making sandwiches and clearly overwhelmed, rushing to make sandwiches and dropping items from the stress. I was told my order still wasn't ready and needed to wait about 6mins longer. The food was just okay for the price, and overall the experience didn't quite meet expectations. We went to Nic's on the suggestion of friends. We arrived at about 11:30. We were the only customers, except the 3 woman sitting at the bar having wine. We ordered a ham, brie, cranberry and spinach panini. Other customers started filtering in. 30 minutes later we finally got our order. 30 minutes later. We watched her start it 25 minutes before. This was what I considered to be the classiest place in Paradise with a nice atmosphere. My friend has gone enough for charcuterie and wine that she owns their rewards card and the people in there recognize her. Tonight, however, they lost customers. Upon leaving, we were chased and told that one of our party members had not paid her tab when she actually had (and left a 20% tip). We returned to set the issue straight, and were held for 30 extra minutes while they searched their system for the payment and did not accept her proof of payment (banking app). Instead, they charged her again with the promise of refunding if it comes up as a double charge. We each had meals plus drinks, a charcuterie board, a couple sides, and two desserts... was $18 out of all of that really worth chasing us out and losing 4 customers? One of which was regular? I guess so. Their food isn't great anyway, and they're over priced. The pizza is horrible, the pie and cheesecake are fine, and everything else we've eaten is alright at best. The $16 charcuterie board comes with a small slice of Brie, 3/4 cup of cheddar, 8 small pieces (finger print size) of dried fruit, 2 tablespoons of honey and preserves, and maybe 20 almonds along with the crackers. Needless to say, we come mostly for atmosphere, and now that is gone. read more

I will say the sandwich "green goddess" was good but my only complaint was the customer service called the order in , and the guy on the phone had stated it would be about 10 minutes well I went there about 15 mins after to give them time and they hadn't even started my order yet , which was upsetting since my lunch break is limited . I just think being mindful of timing is key to success . They are quick to treat customers dinning in but for us who order ahead of time we get the end of the bargain . It's cramped inside and the usual clientele is already taking up any given space. It's not bad looking though, just small. The food is tastier than most options nearby, and the servers are nice. I don't remember it being too expensive, but most places in Paradise aren't cheap. I met the owner once and she was really cool, and the store's manager was nice as well. read more
