    Mac & Cheese Bites

Food was great. Came out quickly and huge portions! Was able to split the sandwich with my friend. Would definitely come back and try others! The Mac and cheese bites were tasty! Great and friendly service even though it was order at counter.

a nice family friendly neighborhood restaurant meets sports bar -- think a much smaller Pour House in a residential area; simpler menu, but plenty of beer, full bar, and if you live in the right spot? you can walk there! my first visit I tried their signature burger and was NOT disappointed; and the shoestring fries were properly salty and not flimsy! and they had $2 Coors Light drafts... I'm coming back for that! oh, and tell 'em "Angie" sent you :D

Great place for my in laws as it's right next to their home. But a little far for us. But parking seems to be good. Nice little bar inside with some sitting areas, we sat outside which I enjoyed their patio which did include a TV so I got to see the dodgers lose. The kids meal nuggets was pretty much McNuggets which was kind of surprising. Not use to places having that texture/style but the kid was happy. She loved the fresh fruit. The pretzels are solid, seem to be the same kind that Applebees has. However the beer cheese was a let down. Was not a fan of the cheese wiz style or flavor? Also bummed it didn't include any mustard. The wife had a speciality California burger which she enjoyed with pesto sauce and avocado. I had the OMG grilled cheese which was solid and made me miss the Grilled cheese place we use to visit in San Francisco. The fried green beans was the best part tho. Very much enjoyed the snap and crunch and flavor blast of those. Service was good, we walked inside and got our refills. No real issues here but nothing overly special. It was solid but did feel a little let down overall but I'd like to come back and try other items.

Service is quick. The staff are great. The Food is a good price for what it is. Accommodating to kids. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Great addition to the neighborhood. Here are some photos. Only suggestion would be options for children's drinks not just soda or bar mixer juice and ketchup/condiments station vs asking every time you needed something and then waiting. Overall, great welcoming place.

    Bread board

First time visiting here and let me tell you I was so impressed! The outside patio is so cute- lots of string lights and fire pits for the perfect ambiance. Now on to the food- we ordered the Mac and cheese bites , the bbq pulled pork sliders and the focaccia bread board (with all 3 choices). The Mac and cheese bites were post gooey on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. They came with a chile honey that paired perfectly. The sliders were super juicy and the ciabatta buns soft. They had a super creamy coleslaw that had the right amount of acid. The focaccia bread board was the surprise of the night- it was huge! Definitely could have had it with a glass of wine and been full. It was very flavorful. Highly recommend! Such a great addition to the neighborhood.

So what I did the next game I told myself I'm definitely stopping there. Once inside it's super nice and very spacious. They have a beautiful restroom it's all pink with a huge wall art you could tell they payed attention to detail. Even the bathroom ceilings have wall art on the ceilings. Don't forget to look up next time . The inside consist of pretty much 3 areas. There is one big room. It looks like it was more like a private room. There's a little section on the way to the bathroom that has this beautiful tree with lights when I looked close enough there was a little monkey hanging on one of the tree branch . Then they have the other area once you first come in that it's near the bar overlooking the outside with the big windows . Last but not least you cannot forget about the massive patio with its own huge bar with a massive TV in the middle. It's just a very great space. The food was really delicious. Their menu is pretty massive. I was trying to decide what to pick.. I went with a Rancher burger cooked to my liking which was so perfect for me . I upgraded to the black truffle fries . For drinks my favorite was the lavender one so refreshing. They have a nice Happy Hour every single day pretty sweet right ? The service was excellent from the beginning to end . I could tell this is the locals hang out spot and I see why . The prices were very reasonable specially with the generous portions . Can't wait to go back when in the area .

We ordered the Thai chicken flatbread from the happy hour menu and the peanut sauce was good (although not at all spicy as advertised), but the toppings were scarce. I ordered the Forest Truffle Burger medium rare, but it came out pretty much well done and dry. The truffle aioli, however, was tasty. The nachos loco dish was huge and they were super generous with the toppings on this one! I had made a reservation for a party of 9 on the day of Chico's graduation with no problem (they only take reservations for parties of 8+) and thankfully it wasn't too busy!

We had kids with us, so we got there an hour before it became 21+. Everyone was friendly, the food came pretty quick relative to how hopping it was. We ordered: Pho-rench dip (w/fries)--I think this was a DDD sandwich, so it's not some hidden gem, but it was super tasty. You cannot go wrong. The slight lime-iness of the dipping broth really kicked it into turbo. Also, we all likes the steak fries--a note on that later. Chicken Cheese Steak (w/fries)--my wife loved it. I tried a bite, and it was great--a little mushroom-forward, but we like that. Mac and Cheese--do not be fooled by the slightly smaller bowl, it is very filling. My son can eat his birth weight in pasta, and he had to tap out! I tried a bite--it was creamy (not grainy at all), and was just the right amount of salty and cheese-funky. Grilled cheese and tomato soup (w/fries)--perhaps the least successful for my family, but only because my daughter prefers a smoky/spicy tomato soup, and this was more on the sweet side. The griled cheese was of the "crispy cheese on the outside" ilk, which my daughter thought was really good. So, totally would go again. IMPORTANT NOTE (to people traveling through Chico, or who don't want to take leftovers)--the sandwiches are pretty big, and the add-on fry order is also sizeable. If we were going again tomorrow, we would either order 1 fry instead of 3. Or split a sandwich. Very very good pub.

The host told us they didn't have any roses but came out with a little bouquet! For the dinner part, we were expecting a little more. The complimentary cornbread wasn't great in our opinions, but I'm sure others may like it. It's clearly homemade and comes with 3 different butters to put on top. We ordered the Salmon and Smashburger and they were both definitely over priced for what it tasted like. The salmon didn't have a lot of seasoning so it sort of tasted like something we'd give our cat. The sweet potato's on that dish were also not the best. The smashburger, in my opinion, would've tasted better if I got it from In N Out across the street. The entire burger just tasted like meat..no seasoning and there was maybe a drop of their aioli on the burger so all in all it just wasn't the best. I would've had a better experience at In N Out. We also ordered the Wagyu meatballs and never received them. We thought it was taking a minute to cook but all we got instead was the check..he didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert. We had wanted to check out their dessert menu and possibly get their strawberry shortcake but I guess that wasn't in the cards for us. We also ordered a cocktail and mocktail. My wife's mocktail (Kava Mule) was great! My cocktail (Horchata Mai Tai) was genuinely the strongest drink I've ever had. The flavor was nice if you could get past the amount of Bacardi they poured in there. Every drink I took felt like I was taking a shot. So with all that being said, unfortunately we won't be returning to Rancher's Daughter. Between the bland and expensive food, the forgotten about meatballs, the check rushed to our table, and the drinks..it's just the not the place for us.

We really had high hopes but were let down. We shared the complimentary corn bread, the arancini, and the hummus crudite. I had the turkey Thanksgiving dinner plate and my husband had the tri tip Thanksgiving plate. The starters were okay - cornbread was a very light texture and the butters that came with it weren't that good. The arancini was fine, just nothing too special but didn't come out very hot. The hummus didn't taste like much and came with a ton of bell peppers, Kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, and some pita. The turkey dinner was not good. The mashed potatoes and the turkey were okay. The root vegetable medley was not good and the stuffing was terrible, it was so mushy and weird. The gravy on the mashed potatoes already had a film over it like it had been sitting out for a while and was not hot at all. I also got an espresso martini that was not good. My husband got the horchata Mai tai - he liked it. My husband said the tri tip was okay but overall the plate was disappointing. They also mentioned on the phone that they would give us a complimentary dessert for my husband's birthday but never brought anything out. Trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a busy night and might give them another chance with their regular menu entrees but I don't have high hopes.

But the bartenders and the staff were very nice and helpful. Came in on a Friday night and had some drinks with some friends was sad to see the specialty shots were all premade and not that great. The next day we came back for a late lunch only to discover it was prom night and super busy. Something has changed to the wings and they taste different than they used to. But they were OK. The garlic fries just had a glob of garlic on top, they were not tossed around in the garlic. That was disappointing too. A friend of ours ordered a burger with a turkey patty and it took forever to get from the kitchen. It took so long they gave us a complementary coupon for a meal in the future. When I asked why it took so long, they said all the turkey patties were frozen and it was taking too long to thaw out. I'm glad it wasn't my burger because I would've hated to know that I just ate a frozen patty. It makes me question the quality of the rest of their burgers at this point. If you have never been here, it is a must see experience. The place is huge and every room has hidden surprises. This is still a Chico staple and I will always come back when I visit.
