In Chico for a baseball game I drove by this nice outdoor patio restaurant with cute lights that you could definitely see when you're driving by. So what I did the next game I told myself I'm definitely stopping there. Once inside it's super nice and very spacious. They have a beautiful restroom it's all pink with a huge wall art you could tell they payed attention to detail. Even the bathroom ceilings have wall art on the ceilings. Don't forget to look up next time . The inside consist of pretty much 3 areas. There is one big room. It looks like it was more like a private room. There's a little section on the way to the bathroom that has this beautiful tree with lights when I looked close enough there was a little monkey hanging on one of the tree branch . Then they have the other area once you first come in that it's near the bar overlooking the outside with the big windows . Last but not least you cannot forget about the massive patio with its own huge bar with a massive TV in the middle. It's just a very great space. The food was really delicious. Their menu is pretty massive. I was trying to decide what to pick.. I went with a Rancher burger cooked to my liking which was so perfect for me . I upgraded to the black truffle fries . For drinks my favorite was the lavender one so refreshing. They have a nice Happy Hour every single day pretty sweet right ? The service was excellent from the beginning to end . The appetizers were the best part. Best buffalo cauliflower I've had; lightly breaded and crispy! Fried green beans were also nice and crispy. Their food leaves something to be desired, but it's beautiful inside (even in the bathroom lol) and the service was great. Their happy hour is pretty decent (3-6pm and 9pm-close). We ordered the Thai chicken flatbread from the happy hour menu and the peanut sauce was good (although not at all spicy as advertised), but the toppings were scarce. I ordered the Forest Truffle Burger medium rare, but it came out pretty much well done and dry. The truffle aioli, however, was tasty. The nachos loco dish was huge and they were super generous with the toppings on this one! We came in with a group of 10 adults celebrating a child-free evening & couple of birthdays, and somehow Ava not only survived us... she THRIVED. Seriously, Ava was hands-down one of the best servers I've ever had. She was funny, witty, quick, competent, and somehow managed to keep us all in line while laughing right along with us. She made the whole night so much more fun. The "lore monkey" (iykyk ), bathroom couches & selfies. Now let's talk food... We made it just in time for Happy Hour, so of course we had to order a few drinks and appetizers. The fried cauliflower? Absolutely AMAZING. The poke tostadas? 10/10--I'd order them every single time. For dinner, all 10 of us ordered something different, and not one person had a complaint (which might be the most impressive part of the night!). My BBQ tri-tip salad was perfection. The meatloaf is worth every calorie, seriously, it's to die for. And if you're thinking about the jambalaya... just know it brings the heat! Fantastic food, great drinks, and an unforgettable server. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Huge round bar outside with a huge patio atmosphere. My friend and I got there when they opened ( 11 am) and decided to dit inside in a booth since it was still just alittle cool outside. We ordered a expresso martini and an Irish coffee ( Jamison whiskey with coffee and whip cream). The martinis was light and cold eith coffee beans floating on top. My friend enjoyed the coffee drink. We ordered the ahi tuna tostada and the waglu burger with parm fries. The ahi tuna was fresh and seasoned just right! They were generous on the tuna! The burger was huge ( smash burger) on a nicely toasted bun. I could barely get my mouth around it to take a bite ( I am 135 pounds!). It was juicy and cooked just right! We opted to pay alittle more to get the parm fries which was a great choice! JOHNNY took our order..made the awesome cocktails and checked on us often. GREAT customer service and he is a great asset for such a busy restaurant! Fun atmosphere and plenty of tvs to watch sports. Full bar. High energy place that was almost packed by noon ( good sign! ). Rolled in on a Friday night in early March...wow this place was popping inside and outside. We were greeted by the hostess Chloe who was very friendly and efficient, quickly finding us a table for our party of 5. Walking through the restaurant most of the tables were groups of 6 or more. Staff was great and taking care of business. Before being sat I was amazed at the operational level from staff because this is a large restaurant. The Pour House knows how to serve and operate. I ordered up the short rib fried rice. Our server Crystal was great, really hard worker! I was very impressed with the short rib fried rice. It was undercover spicy, which I loved. I would give five stars to our server, who was attentive and helpful. The food, on the other hand gets a one from me, so I averaged it out at three stars. We have been wanting to have Sunday brunch here for quite a while and finally made it. We had two orders of the chicken and waffles. Both the chicken and the waffles had quite obviously been previously prepared and reheated. The waffles were literally cold. The chicken was extremely greasy and extremely dark on the outside. I know what food looks like when it's been cooked and then re-cooked and I also know what it taste like. And this was that. I'm sure when they are fresh. They are phenomenal. The sauce on the side is delicious, but I don't care to pay $20 a plate for greasy, reheated leftovers. I don't know if this is a regular practice at the Pour House, but I hope they see this comment and rethink it. As it stands, I don't feel inclined to go back. If anyone wants to ask me why I didn't complain to the manager, it's because we shouldn't have to ask for fresh food. My bf and I came here for valentine's day today during happy hour. We ordered 2 ahi tuna tostadas, a wagyu burger, and grilled cheese and tomato bisque. Everything was fine till we got home. both of us violently exploded the toilets.. I'm 99% sure the Ahi tuna tostadas were likely the problem. Service was great. I'm not gonna lie when someone told me the name I thought about it as "poor house" lolz. But not like as in outing drinking or such lolz. But the after I saw pouring it made so much more sense to me. I really loved the layout of the place!! Had sooooo much seating!! Both inside and out. I will say we did hi Kate at night and the TV was pretty bright so he warned but it wasn't an issue to me lolz. Will say they also have 2 happy house and one from 9-closing. I will see we were those costumer who stayed passed their closing time and we didn't notice the time since we were all having a good time. I love that I didn't feel pressured to leave but felt a bit bad that we stayed past the closing time. The server was nice as well!! I have no complaints at all when it comes to their service :)) Food Ahi poki tostadas 7/10 wasn't my personal favorite to be honest. I thought it would be more citrusy rather than sweet which I didn't mind but still wasn't terrible. Went with a work group for an early lunch. Inside felt a little dated until you walked into the bathrooms which were very modern and felt upscale. Our whole group was talking about it. Server was quick to seat us and get our orders. A few of us ordered Bloody Mary's and all of us agreed that they were some of the best we ever had. Food was ok but everything that was fried seemed over done and dry. Fries, chicken tenders, fish and chips even the sweet potato fries. I had the gochujang fried rice. Very tasty but again a little drier than most fried rice I've had in the past. We usually love Pour house. It's our go to spot. You will find us there about 2 plus times a week . So that's why this boggles my mind. This last weekend we went with friends and I ordered my usual lemon drop. (Mind you... I love these . Oder them EVERYTIME . ) This time I I ordered and my glass was literally 1/3 full . I wouldn't even say it reached the 1/2 mark . I didn't take one sip and actually walked to bar and said ... "I'm sorry but what happened to this drink.. Practically own stock here , and have NEVER seen a lemon drop this low. She offered to make me another which was nice . But I settled for another slash of the juice. But I prob won't return on a weekend . Then to boot . Eating with our friends , and my bestie ,(Who also eats there as much as us... ) orders a wedge salad. We are all enjoying and my friend pulls a hair from salad ., She gets a bit grossed out but continues to eat after pulling it out , as didn't want to return it . Wow!!! This place was INCREDIBLE! First time here and on my 43rd birthday! The inside was clean and organized. The outside was too but a bit more lively with the bar and huge TV screen. Awesome vibes all around. Great service and friendly. Our server made sure our water and soda cups were full and we were enjoying our meals. Keen attention to detail. Little blonde girl next to her manager was giving super rude looks as well as manger and then when we got out seats changed, the waitress was really nice at first but at the end my niece said bye and thank you super nice to her, just for her to look at her rudely and ignore.
