Visited July 2 2026. See my receipt as always. What a fun place to have lunch! It has indoor seating and outdoor shaded seating. Puppy friendly! We shared the black forest ham spatzle ( not sure if I spelled it correctly) which is a German inspired dish. It was delicious! Noodles cooked perfectly with plenty of ham and goodness in the bowl! First time I tried something a bit different and glad we ordered this ( came specially for this house favorite). Full bar and a ton of craft beers to choose from! The place is bicycle themed with a bike shop next door. Very cool and casual! When we left it was already very busy! I will come again because I really liked this dish plus the parking lot was shaded with beautiful trees and outside had a nice breeze! read more

Coworker and myself decided on this place because of pretzels! so of course that was the first thing we ordered, after our drinks of course. They are great and beer cheese is really unique and flavorful. I asked the server about the IPAs offered and he brought 2 for me to taste. He was right on. the Bike Dog was great. The server was really friendly and helpful. We finally decided on our order, I had the Brueben with potato salad and my friend had the spaetzel mac n cheese. Both were delicious and generous size. The place was simple and clean with some very cool wall lamps made with gears and cool stuff. I will go back the next time I am in town. read more

I didn't take pictures because I was stuffing my face with amazing yumminess. I had the vegan portobello mufalata. It's amazing. My parents had burgers. The fries were delicious and the sweet potato fries were waffle cut and yummy. Our service was excellent. Everyone was very helpful and kind. This place is next to a bike shop. If you sit in the far back, there is a glass wall where you can sit and look at the bikes. The ambience is pub in the front, quieter in the back. Thank you fora wonderful meal. read more

I've eaten here and had drinks here many times in the past. Most recently, my girlfriend and I came for lunch and we sat out on the patio. The young woman who was our server took our order, we both ordered burgers. I ordered medium well and she ordered medium rare. When our plates were brought to the table, I immediately noticed that the quantity of french fries offered was extremely minimal, less than what you would expect to see on a child's plate. I commented to my friend, "wow, they've really cut back on their french fries." I wasn't not complaining to the server nor was I even speaking to her, it was just such a huge difference in what we had come to expect from past experience. The server became defensive immediately and suggested that I leave a bad yelp review for the manager. I told her that I wasn't really trying to complain, I was just noticing. She went on a little mini rant about how a lot of people had complained about it and the manager won't listen and that I should definitely write a public review and maybe he would pay attention to that. My friend and I were just kind ok whatever and the server walked away. Fast forward to the meal. My burger was not medium well, it was quite rare. I don't typically like to return food but I I waited a little while to see if she came back and I could ask her to have it thrown back on for a couple of minutes. However, we didn't see again her for quite some time. Anyway, I ate half of the burger and I just couldn't eat anymore. It was closer to raw, which is not only distasteful, but not healthy. Eventually, the server came back to the table, and we were already finished eating; mine was only half gone and she asked me if I would like a box. I told her no thank you but just for future reference for the cook, this burger was not medium well that it was rare. She became extremely offended, yanked the plate from my hand, and said I'm taking it back very gruffly. I had already told her that I didn't want anything to be done about it. I just thought they might like to know. She was very offended, speaking very loudly by this time two other tables near us were filled, and she was so extremely loud, defensive and offensive that all we wanted to do was get out of there. She wouldn't let us talk. She kept cutting me off. I was not unkind to her, nor I was not rude in the least bit, but she was off the rails. I asked her if she could please speak more quietly, I told her she was embarrassing me and that if she would just let me speak for a minute that she would understand what I was trying to say and she just said never mind this is on me and turned around and stomped off. I don't remember her name, but I drove past the other day and saw her working out on the patio again so she's still there. At any rate, it was very unpleasant, the food was not great, the value was certainly not great considering the tiny portion of french fries and the raw hamburger. I might return again for a beer in the summer, but lunch is out. read more

What a cute place! I love how they are attached to the bike shop and have all kinds of fun decor - the food is rather tasty and fresh as well! All of the flavors were unique and stood out. The clucker ( I think that was the name) yummy and tasty fresh and hot! The beer cheese and pretzel was good (not my fav) but I usually like a thicker cheese. I loved the kraut salad and it's cold kraut so that was nice. The kraut that came with the sausage was warm and yummy also. We all had to taste each others to see what we were missing! LOVE LOVE LOVE! This is a superb place. We went a few days ago and it was warm, inviting and full on a Monday evening. The seasonal pumpkin spice daquiri was amazing and so was the stout on tap. I always love their salads and pretzels with beer cheese, and the new ham and cheese sliders are excellent. Our server Trent was also fab - efficient and friendly with a wicked sense of humor. We have really enjoyed our last few visits to the Handle Bar. For SO many years I had this in the "back of my mind" to try, but never did, and I'm so glad I've been able to lately. I first met friends here on a Friday for drinks and it was great. I love that they have many beers on tap, but also have a good cocktail menu with unique drinks on there. I had the Trumer Trumer Pilsner and enjoyed it. The next time I visited, my husband and I had dinner and drinks. I forget which drink I tried but it was so yummy! He got the Pilsner and a burger, I had the Caesar salad and we shared the pretzels bites. YUM! Will be getting those every time I visit haha. Their staff is very friendly, accommodating, and I've seen their stress when it comes to enforcing Covid protocols but they handle it well and with kindness. read more

Lacks consistency. On our first visit the food was quite good; on our second it was fast food level. We had been craving their German potato salad since our first visit and were let down the second time because it lacked the kick it had before. It was just regular potato salad. The first time our sandwiches were really good and very memorable. The second time we actually commented that it was borderline with fast food. They didn't have all the ingredients to make one of our sandwiches but they didn't notice that until they were nearly done so we didn't have much choice unless we wanted to wait another 20 minutes for them to make something else. The way it was served it wasn't terrible but it also wasn't anything special. What restaurant doesn't do a quick check when they open to make sure they have all the stuff prepped for their menu? Then they forgot another one of the ingredients so they brought it out on a separate plate for us to add to the sandwich. The brioche buns weren't grilled, toasted or warmed in any way. They were just room temperature buns. The pulled pork was just like the over sauced stuff they sell in plastic tubs in the grocery store and it was barely warm. The chicken sandwich without the cucumber dill slaw was just a chicken sandwich, which we can get at a lot of places. They weren't busy at all, they just seemed distracted with wanting to visit with each other. Sadly for a place that we thought was great the first time we likely won't be back. We had lunch here last week. Kind of a off the cuff lunch after seeing the ridiculously overpriced menu at Farmers Brewing down the street. We ordered a polish dog item a pulled pork sandwich with pretzel bites. The entire meal was drenched in salt. It literally was the saltiest food we've ever attempted to eat. Our mouths were sore for hours after we left from the salt. There was so much salt in the food that you couldn't even taste the polish dog or the pulled pork. We left half the meal on the plate and basically threw away $55. We looked around and a few of the tables that hadn't been bused yet were filled with half eaten leftover food where other customers obviously thought the same thing. Spot on! Try this place. Megan was AMAZING! We try to find new places and places off the beaten path. This place is in a mall type setting so we were skeptic- Totally unfounded! Food was great and the variety of local/regional beers was so fun! Try the kraut salad!! So refreshing and different..I had the short rib schnitzel that was off the chart, hubs had a black and blue burger cuz he's that way but it was cooked to perfection! The Handle Bar was a great eating experience and hangout. I went on a Friday night which was not too busy. I first ordered the Pretzels with Beer Cheese. It was great, especially the beer cheese. I then ordered the Mac n Cheese Spatzle which was very rich and good. The Mac n Cheese Spatzle is basically Mac N Cheese with Spatzle noodles, sautéed mushrooms, and bacon. If you love cheese, this is the dish for you. I also think The Handle Bar is reasonably priced as well. read more
