Despite the restaurant being almost empty when we went at 11:30 we weren't able to be seated for nearly 30 minutes because they didn't have enough servers. By the time we finally sat, we were definitely ready to order, so it was confusing trying to track down a waiter because we didn't have good Wi-Fi service in the restaurant to use the QR code at the table. When the food finally did arrive it was really good so that's the only reason it's a three star instead of one or two.

Stopped here while setting up our student for the new semester at Chico State. Easy walking distance from the campus. Location was good and they have a nice outdoor patio. Prices for meals ranged between $14-$20. We had the mother cluckin burrito , taco bowl and pesto chicken sandwich. The burrito was probably the best of the group and probably a 3 to 4 star rating. The pesto chicken sandwich was okay and a solid 3 stars. It said it came with a balsamic reduction which would have balanced out the taste profile, but it just didn't come through and appeared to be missing altogether when I opened up the sandwich. The taco bowl started off okay but quickly turned into a 1 star sloppy mess with too much liquid which made it into more of a mush bowl. They appeared to be understaffed with servers resulting in slow service and no checkins until we were ready to go. Overall it is 3 stars, with so many places to try in Chico I probably would go somewhere else before revisiting.

My girl and I stopped by Parkside for brunch before we hit the road back to Sacramento! There was no wait and it super empty on a Sunday around 12. I got the French toast with fruit. It was okay, nothing spectacular. My gf got the chicken sliders with potatoes. The chicken sliders were great and had so much flavor! And the potatoes were also soooo good and super crunchy! Would definitely recommend that entree. They also have corn hole outside on the patio!

It helps that I basically had the place to myself. The mussels appetizer dish is great. Pro tip, order extra bread So damn good, lots of garlic

I Visited parkside for a company dinner party in their banquet room, great experience! Our server's name was Lexi and she had a gentleman with her named Julian helping her out. As soon as I joined the party, Lexi spotted me as a newbie to the party and collected my drink order. Since they have those handy I pads my order was sent right a way and my drink magically appeared in less than 5 minutes! Shortly after appetizers were delivered to our party, we had a spread of Pretzels and Beer cheese and their Brussel sprouts. Holy delish pretzels!!! I don't do bread often but when I do, it'll be the soft, buttery, salty pretzels here! The Brussels were also delish! As everyone was mingling, Lexi and Julian made rounds and made sure everyone was happy. And a big plus, especially in awkward company events, never had an empty glass! Our dinner was catering style, with 2 big Salads, mixed veggies, tri tip, chicken, and salmon, and basically every kind of potato you can have. All delish! I don't usually like chicken at a restaurant but was actually my fave, juicy and flavorful. Dinner was topped with brownies for dessert, yummm. Once dinner was over, a group moved outside to the patio and joined some locals in a game of corn hole and giant Jenga. Once we moved outside, the bartender Alysa took care of us and was so sweet and made sure we all had a fun time. All in all the perfect experience! Hopefully we can get a reservation in for our Company holiday party in December before they book up!

Really delicious food! Went there with a big party and the server did great but one order wasn't put it. Food took a bit of time to get out but it was expected since there was a lot of us. The only issue was the seating as they spilt us into two tables so we put together the tables ourselves. Definitely would love to eat here again!

Just had a wonderful lunch with one of my favorite work sisters. I ordered the French dip and it was absolutely amazing. The bread had the perfect crunch on the outside to the delicious soft bread inside. The meat was tender, I could taste the mushrooms and the cheese. It was so good. My only critique is the flavor of the au jus was a little bland but nothing salt and pepper couldn't cure. Our server Abby was attentive to us. It was a great visit. Will definitely be back

Our server was prompt, polite, and friendly, which we appreciated. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of natural light and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd describe it as "Chico nice" -- casual and trendy, but not fine dining or especially refined service. The food was okay to good, but nothing memorable. We ordered the avocado toast, chicken sandwich, a beer, and a sweet drink, and the total came to about $72. Everything was perfectly fine, just not the kind of food or experience that would make me want to return, especially for a birthday celebration. Overall, it's a decent spot for a casual lunch, but it didn't feel particularly special for the price.

I've got to update my review from about 14 years ago! It took me a long time to come back, but I've…read morenow come here several times over the last several months. They have significantly improved and their food is almost always good. I believe they hired local chef, Ann Leon, which was a great choice on their part. I love their online check-in which has made it feel like such a seamless VIP experience. Now, I put our names in, monitor the time online, and walk right up and get seated. This is now one of our go-to restaurants because of it's consistency. Food-wise, we often get one of their seasonal salads. I'll usually get their chicken bacon ranch sandwich. Fish and chips are very good. When they have fried brussels sprouts on their specials, get them! Very good. Their fries are so excellent that one time they came out cold and they were still good. I do think they have a flour coating, FYI for gluten free folks. The Hot Honey Pig pizza and the mushroom one are so good. Beer-wise, one of my favorite things is they will serve a half point at the actual half price! If a beer is $7, the half-pint is $3.50. I prefer low bitterness, and if you know anything about Sierra Nevada, they are big on the bitter IPA style, hoppy beers. I always look for the IBUs that are helpfully listed on each beer, and select only the lowest ones. Lately I've been getting the wildflower wheat, my fave. They do allow samples, which is wonderful because I would have gotten many a beer I would not like if I wasn't able to sample first. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and they have good outdoor seating on their patio that I enjoy when the weather is right. One place I try to avoid sitting is in the bar area. I have admittedly very sensitive hearing and it's very hard to hear our conversation because of how loud it is there. However, they do have acoustic panels and I can tell this is something they've considered overall, and it makes a big difference everywhere else in the restaurant.

The food: Brewer's Pizza - thin slice pizza with char on a nice bubbly crust. High quality toppings. Big Pretzel - slightly chewy outside, fluffy inside. It's up there as one of the best pretzels I've had. Beer cheese sauce is great and the three beer mustards are a fun thing to try. Fish and Chips - I snagged a bite from my kid, but this was fantastic. Super crispy crust and tender fish. Broccoli Mac & Cheese - snagged a bite from my other kid. It's got the creamy cheese and the cheesy cheese. Hits the spot. Elote Salad - what makes this dish is the fresh corn. Mixed greens and the different sauces make it flavorful. My only knock on the dish was a whole tostada in ours which wasn't the freshest. Shout out to our friendly server, Destiny, who got us everything we needed including plates for sharing even before we asked. Overall, the food is really good and probably the best quality when compared to other brewery restaurants. I didn't even talk about the main reason for coming here - beer. They have a big selection and you're able to get half pints for $3, which is great for trying out more beers.

We had kids with us, so we got there an hour before it became 21+. Everyone was friendly, the food came pretty quick relative to how hopping it was. We ordered: Pho-rench dip (w/fries)--I think this was a DDD sandwich, so it's not some hidden gem, but it was super tasty. You cannot go wrong. The slight lime-iness of the dipping broth really kicked it into turbo. Also, we all likes the steak fries--a note on that later. Chicken Cheese Steak (w/fries)--my wife loved it. I tried a bite, and it was great--a little mushroom-forward, but we like that. Mac and Cheese--do not be fooled by the slightly smaller bowl, it is very filling. My son can eat his birth weight in pasta, and he had to tap out! I tried a bite--it was creamy (not grainy at all), and was just the right amount of salty and cheese-funky. Grilled cheese and tomato soup (w/fries)--perhaps the least successful for my family, but only because my daughter prefers a smoky/spicy tomato soup, and this was more on the sweet side. The griled cheese was of the "crispy cheese on the outside" ilk, which my daughter thought was really good. So, totally would go again. IMPORTANT NOTE (to people traveling through Chico, or who don't want to take leftovers)--the sandwiches are pretty big, and the add-on fry order is also sizeable. If we were going again tomorrow, we would either order 1 fry instead of 3. Or split a sandwich. Very very good pub.
