Stopped briefly with a desire to drink a few beers. High chairs took comfort out of the equation. Lady Bartender was diligent and surveying her domain with efficient service. A little later more crew arrived, as more patrons did as well. Small but obviously well patronized. 2 Modelos on tap slightly above $12, prices these days. High chairs throughout keeps you on your toes, sort of speak, but I noticed outdoor patio did offer regular seating? Weather withstanding, that is. Bathroom clean, and yes, I am aware that this place has repeat business. 6 Modelos on tap would cost $36 plus, no food included or gratuity, which easy for 2 could surpass $100. We departed fast and did not enjoyed Friday festivities. 3 Stars. read more

New Owner * New Vibe ! Park Ave Pub & Grill is a great place to watch sports, birthday with friends (there were two groups when we were there) or just get a drink / meal. Robert, the new owner, greeted us right away and introduced himself! You feel welcomed right away. I think they have 8-10 beers on tap plus bottled beer, full bar for mixed drinks, shots, or one of their signature drinks! SPORTS Enthusiasts there are tvs everywhere! Including the outside patio with heaters & fully fenced from a remodel a couple of years ago. Inside it's not hard to watch your favorite sport. Robert changed it to the Kings game on request. Other patrons were watching boxing. THE FOOD: All of us enjoyed our meals. I had the pulled pork special w pickled cabbage on toasted brioche bun-held together nicely. The French dip sandwich itself was good, but the boys were not huge fans of the au jus, saying it was too salty. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was met with applause ! SPECIALITY COCKTAILS: "The Wild Girl"- gin, elderflower, bourbon, lemon & lavender and bitters was tasty. "The New York Sour" - bourbon, lemon, simple syrup & cab float. My wife and I were passing through town and found this little gem. Perfect neighborhood establishment with great local vibes. They really made us feel comfortable. Update. Well a year has gone by since our last try and we decided to give The Park Ave Pub another chance. Mistake. It took almost an hour to get a burger & a salad. They were not busy at all. Server kid was obviously so stoned he forgot he was supposed to be waiting tables ... When the food FINALLY arrived, it was delicious but not worth the wait. We won't be back. read more

Stopped here with the Butte College Roadrunners Softball team after they took home the win to travel onto Bakersfield to compete in States. I had my own tab and sat at a different table than the team so I wasn't necesarily too involved with the service that was given to the party but I am more than happy to comment on my own experience. I thought for handling such a massive party the server was very patient & polite. No mistakes were made when it came to my order and everything was hot and fresh! I ordered an ice cold Draft Beer, a Large Appetizer Sampler, and an order of Loaded Waffle Fries. The food wasn't all that exciting but then again I didn't really order anything that was super unique. Overall a great experience so I appreciate it! read more

Best ever garlic parmesan tater tots! They never disappoint! Get the cherry bourbon sauce to dip, so so good when you are craving some salty fried deliciousness. I've tried other food items, and some have been overwhelming salty to the point of being inedible. The burgers are usually pretty good (upgrade to tots!).The drinks for me can be hit or miss, I've decided it's best to just go no brainer tequila soda with extra lime, as the mixed drinks can be overly sweet and not worth the extra charge imo. read more

#fatjared say...I want to give 5 stars, but it wasn't perfect!! 2 bad things to say about this place...a bit overpriced and, the music was just too loud! I like music but I don't want to shout at dinner! I had a friend tell me this was her favorite burger in Chico so far and she was right! Before the burgers though, that appetizer sampler was UNREAL! The chicken bites were moist with just a bit of spice, the cheesy potatoes and sweet potato fries were both amazing, and the best was the jalapeño poppers! The melted cream cheese on the inside and just enough heat were just stupid! This came out very quickly but warning ...it will be HOT and fresh out of the fryer! Don't come here trying to be healthy, that's just dumb! NOW...the BURGERS!! I have said before it is hard to make a burger stand out, but BRAVO Park Ave Pub! The cherry bourbon sauce on the first burger was so good! Plus the bacon was cooked well, not too crispy, but you could bit through it. No veggies on this one, just a heart attack in 5 years! And the second was the spicy burger. The meat was juicy, dripping everywhere! The jalapeños on the burger were just enough, and the special pub BBQ sauce came through in a great way! Veggies were also fresher than what you'll find most places! Overall, I REALLY wanted to give this place 5 stars, but with the music and the cost being over $60 for an app and 2 burgers, it just wasn't perfect...4.8 stars though. These guys were able to accommodate our large party on prom night when all other places turned us away, plus no wait. They had great service and great food. I had the pub burger and my husband tried the farm burger. Our son had the chicken sandwich. We had no leftovers! So good! Kolsch Beer and Wizard Boot beer really hit the spot! I love Park Avenue Pub! My husband and I like to go here at least once a week. The staff is very nice! Food is delicious! I got the burger and fries the first time and let me tell you. The Spicy burger was juicy and flavorful and the fries with garlic and parmesan just hits the spot. That's when I knew that I'll be back again to try more of the menu. Park Avenue Pub is the spot for me when I want a drink right after I walk in the door and a good bite to eat! Kenny, the owner, is a great guy and is always willing to serve up food and booze upon request. Prices are fair, service is great, it is always clean and you can always find a seat in front of one of their many TVs. Bay Area sports are always on, which is a huge plus. Who knew this place had amazing food?! Also super sweet, amazing bartenders! And a patio too! I never would have came here if it wasn't for a friend who told me they had the best burgers. Cole slaw was excellent. $13.50 Ruben sandwich was delicious as well and large. French fries were good. $14.25 Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was on tap and was fresh $4.75 Dark mellow nice bar feel inside.
